It's missing several important enemies from Doom 2, and its own additions are little more than recolors with tweaked stats. I'd call it Doom 1.5 at best.

As much as I love Doom 64, it doesn't have enough improvements to be considered a true sequel. It's kinda Doom 2.5 except that it lacks a few enemies like Revenants and Arch-viles.

The real Doom 3 is UACMN and the real Doom 4 is B4NM

With Doom 1 & 2 they were so perfect it didn't feel right sometimes seeing them altered so much. In Doom 64 there's more wiggle room imo since there's so much less than the other games, and as I do consider it Doom 3 as well it's kinda cool to see it get an update.

Because Doom 3 isn't fun.\ and was a huge departure from the original games. D44M is different but is actually a good game in its own right.

Yeah it isn't fun, but it's really not a huge departure at all. PDA passwords and a couple cutscenes, sure, but that's about it

Doom 3 & Resurrection of Evil, Quake 4, Wolfenstein, and Prey were fun campaigns. Doom 3 isn't faithful, just pretend that id Tech 4 was like a genre in its own and you guys may see these games in a different light.

Doom 3 is a bad FPS period. Slow, weak weapons, boring spawns and encounters. If the combat is lame it's not a good FPS game.

The environments and animation are pretty cool and that's it.

Not arguing against this, I only praise Doom 3 when I turn on unlimited stamina and auto sprint.

I guess. Didn't really seem "horror-like" to me cause I was just running around with a shotgun shooting everything as they spawned, trying to finish the game quickly as possible. But the game is long as shit for what it is

doom 1 and 2 are very replayable and its crazy how little replay value doom 3 holds in comparison.
Probably not a good idea to make all your encounters boring jump scares with like 5 monsters max.

I hated Brutal Doom, but Brutal Doom 64 is incredible. The best way to experience the game, by far.

Brutal Doom 64 is some of the most fun I've ever had with a videogame, honestly.
