Even though it's a great game, and there are other good games on the Wii U, if it's the only one that you're interested in, then no It's not worth it.

If you're committed you'll get a good 300 hours out of it.
Also if live in Europe or Australia you can get the original xenoblade for $20 on the eshop.

Such bullshit.

I got a wii u just for that game, but also ended up liking a few others like smash and mario kart.

There's a handful of other games that make the Wii U worth owning.

Hyrule Warriors
Splatoon
Wonderful 101
DKC Tropical Freeze
SM3DW
Sm4sh
Bayonetta 2

probably Breath of the Wild

Also if you have any wii games the BC is nice

But yeah. It's barely worth owning, but that is more than the PS4 and Xbone can say if you have a gaming PC already.

play on emulator

YouTube 'cemu xenoblade'.

Assuming they ever get emulation working right is that even possible given the game's reliance on the gamepad?

How are they dealing with the gamepad for emulation? It's not like you can just walk into a store and buy one of those things like you could a Wii remote.

>play on emulator
>sub 15 FPS

100%-ing the map takes about 150 hours or so

This, Honestly.

You're better off doing some research in to other games the Wiiu offers, OP.

what are the must own wiiu games?

i need to get tropical freeze. what else?

>wait a couple months for it to be playable
>spend several hundred dollars on a last gen console to play a single game
Hmm, tough choice

No. And I loved the original Xenoblade.

>>wait a couple months for it to be playable
no wonder why people mock PC cuck, always getting the scraps little animals on the side of the table

Xenoblade is fantastic, but there are other worthwhile games on Wii U. Splatoon, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad, The Wonderful 101, Yoshi's Wooly World, Smash Bros, Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World, Hyrule Warriors, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Mario Maker, WW/TP HD, and maybe a few others.

But if you get into Xenoblade as I did, then it will easily justify getting one. I played that game for nearly 300 hours and loved it.

Ouch. Take it back please.

>I think its pretty cheap now.
its not. and wiiu games are still $40+ used because nintendo first party.

also keep in mind xenoblade x is fun but it doesn't run on wiiu well due to how it streams from the disk. nintendo wants you to buy a separate hard drive and run the game off of it.

>Tokyo Mirage Sessions
come on now.

Emulation already runs it at 30 FPS if the cemu update videos are anything to go by. I didn't actually notice while playing but it's apparently capped at 30 FPS.
For the gamepad screen, I think you just press a button to bring it up. With XCX it wouldn't be that intrusive since you only need it to manage probes and to fast travel.

Don't buy a console just for one game, let alone an awful game like Xenoblade X.

you know is a good game, is not the FE yall thought it was gonna be but otherwise is a good RPG (NOT PERSONA)

Xenoblade Chronicles X was a dissapointing sequal. There are plenty of other games to get the console for, don't let it be that one

>denouncing games without giving them a chance
come on now.

Not him but I finished DS IIV with smooth 20 FPS, this isn't that bad

>I think its pretty cheap now.
the price hasnt dropped at all

Wii Us can be found second hand for less than 150 Britbongs, Xenoblade for 24

Plays like a single player MMO with ugly characters. It's like FFXII but with less story, somehow.

Far more fleshed out sidequests than in FF12 though

Wait a couple of months
every worthwhile wiiu game will get ported to the switch eventually

I really hope so. I'm always paranoid of the fact that if the gamepad breaks, I won't be able to play a lot of my wii u games. If they release switch versions then I'll definitely buy them.

>WiiJew

never ever ever ever worth buying a console for one game. I got 150-ish hours out of XBX and I absolutely love it, but no single game is worth getting a console over. Luckily there's more than just XBX on the wiiu, Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta are fantastic, and the usual mk/smash party games are good fun as well.

The gameplay is MMO crap indeed, but the game is worth playing because of the great sense of exploration and danger it gives you. Also you gotta love how it makes side missions actually relevant. And finally, getting a mech is fantastic.

Hey, the ganglion stole my ice cream, can you grab it back for me?

Exactly. In any other shitty game you'd go and get the stupid ice cream, but here they get brutally murdered instead.

Just buy a used Wii u and download it since it's so easy to hack. Started this game a few days ago and love it already.

Even if there's no BC, I'd give it a 90% chance this will show up on the Switch.

I mean, they ported the last one to 3ds for Christ's sake.

Listen to this and decide:

It's got some good songs as well, I do agree that one is atrocious though

This. The combat wears thin shortly after you get flight but the exploration in the game cannot be beaten.

I hope so.
Probably one of the few game (With DKTF, TW101, TMSFE and Bayonetta) I wanted to play, but the Wii U wasn't cheap enough for me to be worth.
If this one is on the switch, I ll probably buy it.

Your tojo jap weeb retrash games suck dick, nintendo shill. Play white games like The Witcher series, or D&D.

If you like Nintendo and platinum games then get one. XBX alone will give you at least 80 hours of gameplay.

It's never worth buying ANY console for just one game, especially not since the trend seems to be for all Wii U games to get a Switch port.

If you can't find at least five games you want in 's list, you're better off waiting for the Switch to release, at best you'll get an enhanced, portable port, at worst you'll surely be able to buy a used Wii U on the cheap by then, and I say that as someone that fucking adored both Xenoblade games.

This game is literally Spiderman 2. It's a novelty to get around but the city isn't interactive, it's very corny, and the combat is boring.
