Why aren't you playing Dragons Dogma, Sup Forums?
And if you are, what's your character/main pawn? What's your favorite vocation? Favorite enemy?

Slow paced shit, enemies are just walls of health. flick through menus for ages fixing gear. Ebin maymay charge up for 5minute moves. Pawns that never shut the hell up.
Game had potential but really missed the target.
because I've pumped 300+ hours into and i cant be bothered any more yet
also MK/Assassin with a buffslut mage as my main pawn
OP's choice:
Main pawn: Abel, Scather/Utilitarian Warrior. Level 61
Favorite vocation: Mystic Knight (battlemages are my favorite class)
Favorite enemy: Silver/Golden knight duo. Pain in the ass to beat, but really fun to fight against.
>Why aren't you playing Dragons Dogma, Sup Forums?
Because I played the shit out of it, even before the pc release.
My last and most fun playthrough was as warrior witha ranger pawn.
I've actually been itching to do another playthrough, Magic Archer or Mystic Knight?
I did really everything except that final story fight and I've yet to get the drive to make a new character.
Character was a mixed bag of shit, but I went with MA near the end. Pawn was pretty much always Fighter outside of some time as other stuff for attributes or whatever.
Favorite vocation was probably Strider overall, though Sorc's kit was hilarious when you had the set up to cast fast
Never played a Magick Archer, but they seem so fun to play, but imo the vocation with the coolest and most synergising abilities definately goes to Mystic Knight.
Holy Trance + Magick Cannon is a amazing combo that melts necromancers and other undead beasts (but definately the most useful against necromancers due to them always flying)
Also pic related is the end of my first playthrough. What the game lacked in story was sort of salvaged with a decent melancholy ending
>enemies have weak spots
>stay 2/4 and get double the exp
>you never need to change armor
>have your pawn be a healer and you rarely ever need to open your inventory
>magick archer is best class, due to various damage type, ranged attacks, daggers and a (weak) self healing skill
>armor isn't very important, but weight is.
>armor isnt very important
lol shut the fuck up you pretentious douchebag you are clearly playing the game wrong
fucking faggot thinks he knows shit or what
>you never need to change armor
>have your pawn be a healer and you rarely ever need to open your inventory
>armor isn't very important, but weight is.
Would someone really do that, just go on the internet and tell lies?
you will have stamina to kill your foes
you reach a point in the game where you can have all the stamina you u want, if you don't deal enough damage you are fucked
besides what kind of faggot runs around naked in a game with so much good looking armor?
ffagggooot
Several hundred hours already played.
Perfected the mystic knight.
WOLVES HUNTS IN ______
so armor is the new damage?
i'm on my second playthrough.
Should I just make another game and run through it as a warrior? Or maybe i should do magick archer? I hear that is really OP though.
Honestly all you need to do is reach post game, upgrade your dragon weapon to +1-3 and you're kinda set for even post-game NG+
If you feel you're still not doing enough damage, then it's probably your party comp. Every class has the potential to do massive damage. It just depends on how you've built it.
>Playing DD like Skyrim
top kek
>you never need to change armor
>armor isn't very important, but weight is
Sure, you'll just start getting one-shotted by half the shit later in the game.
And you NEED to constantly upgrade your weapons. You'll simply stop doing damage at a certain point.
if you wanted to absolutely minmax there are a few pieces of gear that give +str or +mag
the earliest i can remember is the claw rings from jewtits and they stack for +20 str & mag
what are substantial stat increases thanks to armor?
yea lets do bbi with my dragon weapons and have lots of fun while the gore giant things and the evil shadow priests one shot you
i started up a clean new game but i gotta make the dash for the green gem in dark arisen for the AP ring. farming ap is easy but pretty boring
Also rushing to the key is fun
green gem?
finished the vanilla game a while back, enjoyed parts of it but felt a bit empty after it was done. Just a week or two plus bougth dark arisen and transferred my save and immediately went to bbi. IT started off pretty gud but then all the environments are just recycled. Atleast it is a bit more challenging now. Felt good seeing my character and pawn again though.
dragonsdogma.wikia.com
have to run though a couple areas at like level 5 or so to grab the first one, then make your way back to one of the moonbeam doors which holds the op ap ring
What is wrong with you have you been playing a fan patch version or something?
Just called it moonbeam gem. And its DP not AP
Because I'm playing Xenoverse 2 on my PS4 lately, I haven't touch DD:DA since it was on PS3 and I didn't get any rent for my pawn.
I already did. Put a 150 hours into the game.
Sadly the game didn't perform very well commercially so Dragons Dogma 2 never ever?
AND NO MMO DOESN'T COUNT YOU FAGS
I'm currently going through bbi as a mystic knight, and i haven't seen any problems.
If you're talking about normal shadow priests one-shotting you, i'm absolutely befuddled since they're pretty weak and their attacks are stupidly easy to dodge.
If you're talking about that boss with the dragon, you need to be mobile and constantly on the move to not get instantly killed by his AoE attacks. You can also tell your pawns to come to you to avoid them until he possesses the dragon were you can stagger him for a easy kill (for either, i also recommend bringing silence arrows/high silencium/jewel of slience with you. Probably one of the many areas of the game where adaptation is important)
MASTERWORKS ALL
>mystic knight
>plays without armor
yea right
reminder that dragon age origins is better overall
>Sequel never
Unless that thing Itsuno is working on is actually DD2, but it could also easily be DMC5 or anything else
I'd suck a dick for Julie's sliders.
reminder that mass effect is better overall
It's honestly a bad game. The only good part is the boss run AFTER YOU FINISH THE GAME
because I own the game on Xbox and I'm too frustrated about the fact that I bought DD and then DA full price for a sub par experience, only for it to later come to PC, to ever play it again.
...I never said i didn't. I wear the melorian armor (with archmage hat for style).
And even then non-mage armor has poor mag resistance, so in theory they should be doing more damage to me, and yet i go along fine.
Dunno what's wrong with your character if you're getting one-shot by everying.
Fire.
it's hard to make a cute character
>Why aren't you playing Dragons Dogma, Sup Forums?
Im short on cash right now :(
will probably get it on sale along with titan fall 2
well shut the fuck up then and dont come into the arguments of others like a clueless retard
i was arguing with the other guy that going without armor is bullshit and there you show up with your " oh everything works for me" garbage
fuck you dumbass
TIS A TROUBLING FOE
I put 300h into the game, but I just got tired of doing the same content again and again. I'd pick it up again in a heartbeat if new content existed. Pic related, Arisen and pawn
I've been playing but I keep switching vocations so I feel like i'm not progressing, how do I convince myself to stick with a certain one? I've been going between Knight, Magick Archer, Assassin and Ranger
Are controllers still broken on PC because of the Windows 10 Anniversary update? I tried getting my Steam Controller to work with the game all weekend.
>Steam Controller
>Found your problem user
JoJo edit pls?
Warriors 4 lyfe, 2 swole 2 control
perfect team
4 2h warriors
>tfw my reinstall will be finished in 5 minutes
>Starting my hundreth playthrough
>Gonna install some SWEET SWEET mods
I love DD some much
my pawn in progress
I only have a couple of trophies left to Platinum it but I don't feel like getting them.
waiting for the discount
NO
Then why would you not go without armor?
Also, how many people have you cut with edge like that?
Play the MMO. You can live with your cute waifu pawn
what the fuck are you even on about?
why would i go without armor? are you retarded?
and somehow i'm the edgy bad guy for calling you out on your garbage
I just bought it, but I have no fucking idea on what vocation I choose for myself and my pawn
been thinking of getting into the MMO again since that patch that removed a lot of the stupid shit, like needing to do 50 quests in one specific area to unlock classes.
is it still region locked?
Nah, I'm really not feeling like playing some MMO, those traditionally end up soulless shit compared to SP RPGs. And those that are good can only remain good while they have a good community, but this one is officially jap-only right? So not only would I have to jump through hoops to even play, there probably wouldn't be much community for me anyway. Nah, I'll keep my fun memories of DDDA.
if you like to climb on shit
>rogue>transition to assassin (you)
if you want to cast magics
>mage>transition to sorcerer (you)
pawn
if you want a ranged support that is low matienence
>rouge (only equip with bow and teach only bow skills)
if u want high matienence but powerful
>sorcerer
if you want a permanent healer
>mage
I don't recommend regular melee classes or the advanced classes but you can if you want.
>can't romance your pawn
But she's the cutest girl in the game.
Also, I really hope DD gets a sequel at some point. Enjoyable as it is, it could really stand to improve, and maybe next time it could be completed.
I'm more worried about my pawn because I want him to have a vocation that will get him a nice number of hires, I don't care too much about maintenance.
I've been considering a Ranger, but dunno how much attention that would get.
What's a class that uses big ass two handed swords?
Also what's a class that's like a paladin?
if you equip a ranger pawn carefully and not give him any melee weapons i would hire it.
That forces the pawn to focus on bow skills instead of randomly running up with melee weapons like a dumbass. Depending on what i am doing even rusted bow (upgraded) is a nice choice
Play as a warrior and punch mythology in the taint.
Your pawn's vocation doesn't matter as long as it's a cute little girl.
I played it to hell and back.
Dragon's Dogma is really light on the content.
Shit needs a sequel badly.
Because I've already sunk a combined total of around 500 hours into the PS3 and PC versions?
am i able to play this video game
Play whatever you want, base game isn't too hard and you don't need to worry about growths, as long as you don't plan on going sorc after 75 levels of melee classes.
Pawns are good at anything as long as they're taught right.
Personally, I look for a healer or assassin with instant reset
Yeah, I think I'm gonna roll a Ranger pawn and my guy will change bewteen Warrior/Assasin/Fighter based on what I need.
What's the best 'trait' for the pawn? I heard people talking about Utilitarian and Scather pretty well.
GPU might suffer, I'm really not sure though the game engine is very forgiving so hmm, maybe pirate it first to check? Pirate won't be the same as original with online but hey, at least you won't lose money, try it
Bitterblack Isle is by far the coolest area in the game.
Just avoid guardian.
I'm gonna admit, i got lost in the arguement and forgot where it was going. Didn't know if you were leaning towards needing damage or needing armor.
I was talking about how when you said you needed high damage or you're fucked, which i disagreed with saying all you needed was good weapons.
But i'm done arguing anyway.
But pawns can't be Assassins, user
The warrior uses large two handed swords, and they fuck shit up. for a paladin, Mystic knight is the closest bet, The class has a focus on offensive buffs, traps, and well timed blocks
I've literally done all there is to do and seen all there is to see. One of the best games I've played. Capcom will never localize DDO or make a sequel.
i want to, but im retarded with computers. how do i make sure i dont end up with 90% of my pc being filled with toolbars and kiddie porn
Your favourite enemies?
mine:
>Living armor
>I'll tear the whole of it asunder!
I recommend fighter as a starter class due to simplcity and fun-factor, though don't let that disuade you from picking what you think looks the coolest.
Just go with what you like playing in any RPG. But remember you are able to switch between vocations later on in the game so if you feel one is boring or not fun pick another and try that out.
Just pick link with most seeds and you're set. It's simple, don't be affraid. Try not to DL russian stuff too, that might help.
I reply to whatever i want and there is nothing you can do about it.
Beat the flying priest asshat and his bitchboi dragon without getting hit as sword and boarding brown loli wearing highleg pantsu & bikinitop with cape with just my literally retarded amazon ivory clubwielding pawn wearing a thong and haltertop. (magic and bows are for pussies btw) Gore cyclops killed me once because i stopped paying attention after being bored of wittling away at his ginormous healthbar for 10 minutes.
Sorry for the shitty pic, only have the shitbox version.
utilitarian scather challenger mitigator are top tier
acquistor pioneer aren't great but they are better than FUCKING USELESS guardian or nexus
medicant only has one place and that is as a secondary for mage, primary should be utilitarian
My bad, strider. It's been a while. Forgot they can't do hybrid classes.
I don't know. I bought it a while ago and have it installed but haven't started it.
Rocket League too stronk I guess
I haven't been able to find a code from someone who got the latest Humble monthly
Can Ranger pawns use Instant Reset properly?
Will it ever be translated?
>first time through BBI as a fighter
>hate these assholes so fucking much
>end up running past most of them
>mfw second time through as magick archer
>magic and bows are for pussies btw
>only have the shitbox version.
are you sure about that user maybe if you could play magick archer without dropping to 0.0005 fps you might change your mind
Because it's old as fuck, and the 2nd is a goddamn MMO.
...
oops
I don't like the idea of just summoning explosions while standing a safe distance from the action. Sure it might change things up a little and feel and look powerful, but i like actually having to get up in peoples business up close and personal.
>I don't like the idea of just summoning explosions while standing a safe distance from the action
I think DD:DA may be my GOTY, along with The Witness.
I played the PS3 version back in 2013, but never finished. But the PC version is well done.
Eliminators. 8 foot tall undead warriors wearing bull masks and swinging around colossal hammers? What's more metal than that?
I'm planning on getting dogma during a steam sale.
Advice on a first play through?
Which classes do you recommend?
>Eliminators
I loved fucking with Eliminators
