Tf2 because it's free.

street fighter is "shit" tho

TF2 is basically the last of the classic Quake inspired games. Overwatch is what happens when you apply MOBA mechanics to an FPS.

But Quake inspired games died for a reason and MOBAs are the most popular shit ever.

I dont think that a game that is lasting for 9 years can be bad
Teens, otaku losers and negros
No, choose one you dip
This does not even make sense
Kek people spend more money at f2ps than p2ps

Got bored of OW in less than 100 hours, TF2 bored after 2k+.

TF2 if you somehow find a way to travel back in time before they started adding weapons and hats - back when you had to pay for it.

Overwatch if you don't like TF2 for whatever reason but after tomorrow no fun is allowed anymore in quickplay and you gotta play meta or you'll be reported.

fpbp

Is this 2010 or earlier?
>YES - play TF2
>NO - don't play TF2

Why?

Because I stopped playing after f2p and it's my way or the highway

>6v6 shooters

Overwatch
TF2 is a dead game

Old TF2

Overwatch is literally LoL tier in terms of cancer

OW since its not dying atm at this point you'll have more time to play it

Real talk though I installed tf2 again the other day and matchmaking took 30 minutes to find me a ranked game. Explain this shit

Doom 2016

It's broken as hell and no one is playing it. Like 15 people ever asked for competitive tf2 and that was like six years ago.

>Being poor

I would have to go with Overwatch unfortunately
Team Fortress 2's developers literally don't care about their community at all, The last new weapons that where added were the quickiebomb which was just before the start of 2015.
Since then they have only added new maps and weapon skins for THE STOCK WEAPONS which in some cases are just worse like the SMG when the Darwins Danger Shield and Jarate are far superior.
Not to mention constantly fucking with weapons and making the stupid choices i.e buff Phlog but nerf the quick-fix by giving its unique feature to every other medigun.
Not to mention meet your match which was by far one of the worst updates launched for the game.

Meanwhile Overwatch seems to have a bright future with new features people want like characters and maps being added regularly

It pains me to say it really since I have over 900 hours on TF2 and its sad that I have lost hope for the future of it.

>+70k players today
>Dead
You are not good at english are you?

Those games are radically different. Unless you're talking companies or how popular it is, in that case you can fuck off.

I say TF2 because 32/32 cp_dustbowl is my fetish.

In terms of advantages, TF2 has:
>skill ceiling
>visual clarity
>lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of content available incl. custom maps, and mods/custom game modes, meaning very high replayability and there's something for everyone
>community servers
>lots of options and customization
>great dialogue
>good level design
>a trading system you can actually make small amounts of money off with intelligence/luck
>no cost other than the download
ow has
>nicer graphics
>SFM porn (which you can watch without buying the game)
you decide OP

>Being a edgy fascist

Ranked is broken, go to community competitive lobbies/MGE which are highly populated

>Team Fortress 2's developers literally don't care about their community at all

TF2's devs have been updating this game for 9 years, we get a bugfixing patch on a weekly to monthly basis and they closely monitor the community for events and then report them, you're totally wrong. We even got an update today for fuck's sake. teamfortress.com/?tab=updates A developer who didn't care wouldn't be continually supporting and updating the game for 9 years and engaging with the community.

On the Phlog/QF you're misinformed. Phlog's change got reverted soon after December, and Quick-Fix is actually the strongest Medigun in the game if you're playing with a competent set of allies.

>Meanwhile Overwatch seems to have a bright future with new features people want like characters and maps being added regularly

It has, like, 9 maps and 24 characters compared to TF2's 170+ modular weapons, 100 official maps and 10 000 0000 custom maps (I'm exaggerating but there really are a lot of custom maps).

You lost the election, get over it. Anyway I'm not really a fascist, I just like the aesthete.

Onr of the reasons they died is the skill gap between players becoming so high new players don't stand a chance. And obtuse mechanics, that while natural for experienced player, add a learning cliff for noobs. TF2 fixes both of these problems.

I think another reason Quake Arena and its like died was lack of ADVERTISING (this has killed so many great games, if people don't hear about the game they won't buy it), lack of CONTENT (playing The Longest Yard with the same 10 weapons gets old for new players, no matter how perfectly balanced it seems), and lacking a hard feeling of PROGRESSION, because sure your skill improves in deathmatches, but there's no hard thing that you can look at and say "wow, I've come so far" unless it's competitive ranking, which is more likely going to be disheartening to look at for a newbie.

TF2 sort of halfheartedly has a try at the advertising problem with fun Youtube movies and the free comic, but I think lack of advertising is contributing to its very slow player bleed. Content, on the other hand, it has in spades, and I'd say that's been a massive part of TF2's longevity. As for progression, I've been teaching my cousin to play recently and she really likes TF2's new XP systems and hat collecting, I think it really gives a sort of concrete feeling of actually doing something.
