Really good, has the best bosses in a FPS

A bit repetitive and eh. But my opinion might be biased as I only played the 5 minute demo lol

Too short
Relied too much in closed arenas
The whole Pretor suit upgrades thing was stupid
Poor optimized
Amazing weapons
Amazing weapons upgrades
Great monsters
Good combat

It wasn't the second coming like everyone claimed it to be, but it was a pretty solid game.
Sequel when?

>only played 5 min demo
>might be biased

It's shit

>Poor optimized
Factually incorrect.

Just because your potato couldn't run it while chrome was running in the back ground doesn't mean it's poorly optimized.

>Poor optimized
cant be more wrong

I wish you'd learn to use a catalog: The game sucked ass, and only Xbox fags and literal Zenimax shills hype this crap up.

graphics are bloated as fuck
It works surprisingly well on older cpu's though

That demo perfectly summarizes the whole game, so you're not missing a thing.

Not that guy but it's the only game of 2016 I couldn't run. Given my computer is 5 years old now and probably needs to be upgraded. I'd wager it was primarily the 2 GB Vram holding me back.

My potato was able to ran it at high but randomly the game just froze without warning. It ran fine when I configured the graphics on Medium.

I'm that guy
Your PC must be genuinely shit because I ran the game with a FX6300 and a GTX660ti

my pc is genuinely shit and cant run it ;_;

best game ever

Better optimization for Nvidia? My card is an ATi 6990.

Uninstalled for the 4th time.

It's just not as great as Sup Forums keeps saying t is.

I really want to like this but I can only play it for about one hour or so until it begins to bore me to tears.

Probably.
As I said in my post, the game even ran on High at 45-50 fps, but I had to bump down the graphics to medium due to some weird freezing at random times. Once I did that I could play at 50 fps without trouble (except for a small snow part where the framerate fell down to 15 fps).
Did you try meddling with the graphic settings?

Fun as hell. Super Shotgun is pure sex, especially when you can double shot before reloading. Definitely emphasizes the whole 'always keep moving', especially during the later stages. Soundtrack was good, though kind of...not impactful enough?
Cyberdemon was a pretty solid fight
The Guardians (or whatever the fuck) was easy
Spider Mastermind can go eat a bag of dicks

Really good, playing through it right now.

Finding the fucking classic levels is a nightmare. I managed to open the lever for a couple but couldn't find the doors.

I had fun playing it but I cant see myself running through it again

>Spider Mastermind can go eat a bag of dicks
I liked that fight; it was cool seeing how certain weapons affected her when she was doing certain attacks.

>Poor optimized

>Id released a new mode where you start the game fully upgraded

most over rated game of 2016

youtube.com/watch?v=BSsfjHCFosw

It was ALL low and like 75% render quality. I could play it but it wasn't very enjoyable.

A NG+ mode that let you start with everything and also added more advanced demons to earlier levels would be fantastic.

no I just came across it yesterday and it doesn't even cover everything in great detail
the point is when people go back to it and do a proper analysis they will find that the game isn't as great as it first appeared to be

>too short

There's that meme again.

Here's the thing:
A truly poorly optimized game runs like garbage regardless of settings or card manufacturer.
For instance "Ass Creed: Unity" runs like trash on highest settings for most people and changing it to the lowest does next to nothing to make it run better.

Since Doom allows you to literally mess around with every setting within id Tech, you should, in order to get best performance for from your card.
I got it to run on my ultrabook, looked like shit and it struggled to hold 30, but it ran.

Also, AMD cards have a history of running games slightly worse if not specifically optimized for, which very few devs actually bother to do, and if you're buying AMD you should know this.
But like I said, a truly poorly optimized game runs garbage on both nvidia and AMD.

I'm just about to beat Wolfenstien: New Order. Loved it for what it was. Should I jump right into DOOM or play a palate cleanser next?

It's just plain fun.

Play Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and then play DOOM
