Toon

>toon
>psx
>gg ez
>cheevos
>brb bio

anything else for the vidya shitlist?

*push to talk*
*coughs*

why the fuck do people do this

So you know that they aren't playing one hundred percent due to illness

>Mary-oh
>Saying "I got an extra man" instead of "extra life"
>Saying "NES" and "SNES" as a word instead of saying each letter of the acronym.

these all make me want to die

>brb bio
???

>Not saying NES phonically and spelling out S. N,E,S

You're supposed to say nes as a word. Its a rule of english language.

>toxic
>*CLICK* *SLURP* *TAK* *TAK* *TAK* *UGHHH* *SMACK* (the sounds made by that one guy who doesn't use PTT and whose mic goes off for every fucking sound).

Is it Mary-oh, Merry-oh, or Marry-oh?

>PSX
I don't really mind this, but I still don't get the logic behind it besides just having an alternative name than "PS" or "PS1". PS1 makes immediate sense and no one will ever mistake it, so why people use PSX is beyond me.

>not calling the SNES "the Super"

>health points

>brb smoke

>too sick to go to school, too sick for video games

you're all autists and this is holding you back in life

>1v1 me
>specifying pvm/pve in a game that's mostly those things
>join my clan [weedsmokingnoscopers420xx]
>*garbled rap music on mic*
>WOW!
>REALLY!
>AIMBOT!
>TRYHARD!
>[child screaming in Spanish]
idk either I think people just say it because acronyms less than 3 letters seem weird and often have a lot of overlap.

ITT: intolerant fuckwards and their triggers

It was marketed as the Playstation Experience in NA. The media over here called it the PSX for short and it stuck in people's minds.

>brb gotta take a nap, low testosterone

>1v1 me
>puts traps everywhere and camps in the place with the most keyholed entrances.

Does that mean they were jerking off while playing with you?

>>brb bio
wait, they're expected to shit in a bucket while playing?

NES and SNES don't need to be acronyms so don't pronounce any of them like one.

I used to say toon when I was younger, and I've always used brb bio

Mari-oh.

>i'm high / drunk as fuck

>"brb I gotta let my dog out"
>he goes outside WITH THE DOG
>returns 20 minutes later
>"k back"

>queue into dungeon
>one fucker inmediately goes "brb gotta take care of kid might take a while"
>why the fuck did you queue you moron
>mfw the rest of the cucks in the group decide to wait instead of kicking the assclown
>leave

I know right? I just throw my dog out my 3rd floor apartment window in the city. It relieves itself, scoops up it's own shit and then buzzes me so I can let it back in.

>Aight guys i'm gonna go to the bathroom
>2 hours later
>Sorry i went to go dinner while i was at it
>Everyone was waiting for him like a retard
Fuck you. You know who you are.

>falling for bait.

I was hoping someone would have a small giggle instead of taking it seriously. You know, like how I did with the original.

Its fine to pronounce NES or SNES as a single word. People do that for a lot of acronyms such as people calling SQL "sequel"

PSX was the de facto abbreviation for the PS1 before the PS2 days

did you guys never pick up an EGM or Tips & Tricks magazine back then? how old are you?

I'm hypnotized watching his left hand.

bio is short for biological

it means brb gonna take a shit

Why would you wait that long? Pretty obvious they aren't just pooping after 20 minutes.

the fuck are you talking about? In university and work, I didn't meet a single person who said "sequel" when they were talking about SQL

This cannot be a thing.

I was calling attention to the """subterfuge"""" seemed like both responses were obvious

Team league play, 5 man

>scimmy

>kids still getting triggered over PSX

Hahaha.

>making a short word into an acronym
for literally what purpose

Everyone where i work says sequel, its even listed on wikipedia as a pronunciation

>Calling stages tables

I know right? It's clearly PS or PS1.

ive always called it psx because i warezd a lot of games why dont you come and fight me op u scared butt

Biology class maybe.

>tfw always say gg ez when I win a game

>get invited to play with friend
>friend ends up being absolute horseshit
>blames it on others
>calls the enemy team tryhards
>ragequits in ranked
>"user why did you decline?"

>mfw when an American calls a flat quadrupedal woodplain a "Table"

bring it bitch boi

>>[child screaming in Spanish]
Had me in giggles m8

I never got "GCN".

>man-uh
>turrent

Show me one person who doesn't sound like a fucking retard when they say man-uh when talking about mana.

i associate it with bread so i just call it magic instead

Oh yeah, what would (You) call it, Einstein?

how the fuck you pronounce it then nerd

Wait how are you supposed to pronounce "mana" then?

>commend me

You're supposed to say acronyms as a word, thats the entire point of an acronym, it has to spell a word you can say aloud. If it doesn't spell a word you can say, it's known as an initialism.

NASA = Acronym
FBI = Initialism

>PSX was the de facto abbreviation for the PS1

Only in North America

Heard this thread was made by a fucking brit, come out and fight fuggo i wanna punch you

>He's spewing memes over the chat
>Not even normalfag vine shit, "obscure" Sup Forums memes because he thinks hes hot shit

Yeah but if it rolls easily you can do either

fbee doesn't work

nes and snes do

Mah-nuh.

Man-uh makes anyone who says it sound like a fucking faggot.

I say NES or Nintendo, Super NES or Super Nintendo.

Why even say anything else?

It was commonly called PSX in magazines and people used it unquestioningly on late 90s/early 2000 internt. It was only when younger people showed up that it became somehow controversial.

>dies
>*lenny face*
>gets a kill
>*lenny face*
I fucking hate chat binds.

Because "Nez" and "Snez" are recognized acronyms and they're quicker to say.

It isn't. For some reason people on Sup Forums are insisting it is to create false rage.

gg ez is the funniest insult, no idea how people get so fucking mad about that

>Only in North America

No.

t. Yuropoor

A flat quadrupedal woodplain.

woah...

how do you pronounce mage then? mah-gee right?

No I say Mage, the only way to say that word.

>Sony's North American division, known as Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA),originally planned to market the new console under the alternative branding "PSX" following the negative feedback regarding "PlayStation" in focus group studies. Early advertising prior to the console's launch in North America referenced PSX, but the term was scrapped before launch.

It wasn't marketed as the PSX outside of North America, and wasn't marketed as the PSX after launch. Only a few advertisements that had already been completed prior to the consoles launch carried the "PSX" branding.

What a weak post.

>talks trash in lobby in increasing black voice
>person on their end says something
>hear them respond in white voice.

>It wasn't marketed as the PSX outside of North America
No one's talking about official advertising, just what people called it. And yes, people in europe called it PSX - I know for a fact it was in France at least.

You weren't alive at the time. Every news outlet called it the PSX. It was regularly called the PSX.

lol is widely known as an acronym, yet only faggots/retards say/think "lawl"

>champ
>dps in a game that isn't an MMO
>kys
>any emoticons

...

I fucking hope so

Samual L. Jackson black? Or Kenan Thompson black? Patrice O'Neil black?

Because NGC was already taken by Neo Geo Color.

>official mumbo jumbo

Doesn't change the fact that it was perfectly fine to call it PSX.

And all the tryhard faggots in here claiming "only young people don't call it the PSX" are trying too hard to fit in

obviously bill cosby black

gg ez is actually fantastic

only scrubs are bothered by it

like highschooler solijaboi impersonation black just increasingly slurred speech and twitter speak.

I don't give a flying fuck how you call it but if you get a sperg fit over someone calling it PSX you're basically saying "Hi, I wasn't alive in 1995, please rape my face."

> Off_US_PS1_Mag
>Formerly P.S.X written under the tittle

>but if you get a sperg fit over someone calling it PSX

All I did was challenge the claim "PSX was the de facto abbreviation for Playstation", or "only young people" challenge it.

>commercial emulator
that's pretty interesting

It was to prove my point that PSX was phased out by the time the PS1 even launched.

It's Issue 1 and they're already showing it's not called PSX anymore.
