It's pretty enjoyable. Punkass son of some underworld boss kills a hitman's dog. Said hitman sets out to kill the kid who is now hiding behind his father's gang

Has enjoyable shoot outs and is pretty satisfying to watch.

Hitman Absolution is actually also a pretty good John Wick game if you don't play it stealth. It even has basically identical aesthetic as far as lighting and colors go.

Although I should say he's an ex-hitman, his girlfriend persuaded him to get out of the business and that dog was a gift from her

Legendary Hitman is now retired and trying to live a normal life.
Dumb kid he meets on a gas station wants his car but he refuses to sell it so the dumb kid breaks into his house at night with a bunch of thugs and kill his dog which was a present from his dead wife.
This prompts said legendary hitman to go on a simple revenge story as the kid shits his pants and hides behind his father's russian mafia.

They're turning it into a trilogy. I'll probably watch the 2nd movie, but it might end up like Taken 2 where it's fucking stupid

The plot for the sequel sounds terrible as well, "John Wick enters an assassination competition"

Yes, it's okay, pretty average action flick. Keanu is a faggot. Wick is a mysterious character with a lot behind him, but Keanu turned him into a boring faggot that can barely act. Thank god they've employed /k/ to give actors proper training.

The antagonist is much more charismatic than him. Pretty much everyone is more charismatic than him.

I thought it was decent. Acting was decent. Production was great. Fucking cool ass visuals and choreography, which is to be expected from a Keanu Reeves feature.

Problem is it's filled with cliches all the way through. That's what kills it. Also I'd wager most people hated the ending.
