If the former, and money being willing, there is literally no reason to not go for PC

It depends, if you want to jump on in to play a game or two for a few hours before doing something else then get a PS4 Pro, but if you want to mod a few games to your comfort and take advantage of Steam Sales then get a PC upgrade.

PS4 Pro if you're interested in its exclusives and feel comfortable with your current PC for another year or two.

PC otherwise.

Those are possible yes. The added power is reportedly indented for 4k by Sony, but they leave it up to the individual game devs to use it as they will. And word is not all the games handle upscaling well (Deus Ex) out of the couple dozen that even support Pro.

I bought a PS4 on sale something like a year ago and I have a pretty good PC, so I play any multiplat on PC.
I feel like I bought it only to play bloodborne, because the other exclusives are generic as fuck.
Uncharted, infamous, destiny, you name it, they look good, they seems polished, but something is lacking and I can't really say what.
I hope Horizon Zero Dawn will be somehow good.

Even bloodborne in the end it's not so unique to justify the PS4.

The only reason to own a decent gaming rig is if you want to play AAA console ports at higher framerates/resolutions. Every other worthwhile PC game can be played on a toaster outside of a select few.

Lol no, the main goal of the pro is 4k. When the games are in 1080p they then supersample, leaving everything looking the same, but less jagged. Devs have to program a specific 1080p mode if the want different benefits, and I guarantee most won't.

I'm quite sure it can be agreed on that most pro "patched" games only offer a higher resolution + worse performance than 1080p +better performance. The only game that I've heard that does the latter is Infamous and that game is shit.
The only advantage for a 1080p user is supersampling, but with equal or worse performance, I don't consider that an upgrade.

Just get a regular PS4 user, it's not worth the extra cost if Sony won't enforce all games to have this upgrade. Just look at Bloodborne.
If you aren't into hardcore niche stuff that much, just get a PC. You'll have all the performance you need, have all the benefits of a PC instead of a closed platform and even some weeb stuff is being gradually brought over such as Neptunia, Ys, Tales, Senran Kagura and even some Vita ports like Ray Gigant.
I don't have the slightest doubt over FFXV getting a PC port. Just look at all the shit people came up with in order to deny the shift from consoles. FFIX was rumored to be a NEVER EVER PS1 exclusive, FFXIII was the bane of existence that Square supposedly wouldn't dare to make PC ports after all the shitstorm people made about the games' reputation, FF Type 0 wasn't supposed to get a port because it was the legendary PSP game that people were dying for a localization so it should stay exclusive to get enough profits to help make the series great again.
Now all it lacks is an Origins (I and II) and Tactics port (both already having their mobile ports available for years, just like III~VI), then we'll have the entire mainline series on Steam. Considering the competitive focus, you should also look forward to the new Dissidia to come over as well after the dust settles on the PS4 version's release.
