Myself you faggot. It's the only way to play these games. Die fifty times and then get good.
Only fifty? Seems kinda high to me.
>not watching someone else's playthrough first
I bet you're not buying SuMo either, idiot
I taught myself.
Unfortunately I never bothered with parrying in the other games so it took me a whole play through to get it down. Fast bosses I basically just dodged and got one hit in and maintained patience. Bosses like One Reborn I'd just run in and wail on them.
Logarius was the hardest boss for me because I never thought to backstab him when he powered up and honestly I think it was a bad idea to keep that in, it really nerfs the challenge. On the other hand when he powers up he's fucking impossible so maybe they had to balance it.
Myself, I never watch people play games I haven't played. BB was my first souls game so it took me awhile to get through Central Yharnam. In fact, first time through the game I never even learned to parry. I got the cannon and never looked back. My play style now is so radically different to what it was.
what's up with the amount of bloodborne threads lately? also, the game does a good job of teaching you how to play

>>not watching someone else's playthrough first

What is that weeb "SuMo" shit?
>dying 50 times
I only died 5 times my first playthrough, get fucking good you faggot
Haha yeah it sure does haha...Gascoigne is hard as fuck for a first boss, I got him stuck on a tombstone and cheesed him with spin2win my first playthrough
Proof? Thought so.
>died
>thinks he's good
Does it really? I honestly can't recall if it gives you any hints as to how the combat works like they do in the Dark Souls games.
They tell you about the basics in Iosefka's with notes, and enemies are positioned nicely in the first area, but other than that I don't know.
No one. It's basically Souls but you can't rely on shields and need to be more aggressive
My buddy and I when Bloodborne came out would come home after uni, get stoned and take turns switching off and playing. We were souls veterans and the game was tough, but we were better than most who start the game. Our not so much gamer roomates would always watch us play cause they loved the graphics, gore, atmosphere, and the sounds. It was funny when they decided to play for themselves cause they were so much better than I remember myself being at souls when I started, and they picked up on little tricks that every souls verteran knows to use. It was quite entertaining watch one beat Father Gas on his first try.
But there are shields user.
One is a joke and the other is only useful in very specific situations
There's a bunch of notes in the Hunter's Dream.
no one because bloodborne has been pretty easy so far aside from a couple of annoying as fuck normal enemies and matyr logarius
what a couple of insufferable faggots. youre quite the fucking loser is you had to learn to play from these manchildren.
Pokemon S&M, sun and moon. SuMo is the version buttblasted reddiors came up with
pffft, that is nothing. I didn't even die once, fuckin easy game.
Salty annon is salty for being shit at the game.
I did. It was either git gud or die trying.
No one, and I suck at it...
I don't even get pass Vicar.
LOOOOOOOOOL
Hehehehhehw :3
Sup Forums is full of poorfags and the complete edition went on sale for 20 dollars about a week ago.
Demon's Souls
as well as all the other games
A true pro.
Father Gascoigne
Don't laugh at me! I played every Souls game except 3 and I cannot get the timing for dodges in BB right.
the trick is to stop playing it like Dark Souls, Bloodborne combat was specifically designed e to counter all the habits that Dark Souls created
I just saw the beta videos and learned the basics of the game like parrying and stuff.
I know that, learned that somewhat from Cleric, Gascoigne and the Blood-Starved Beast. Still not good enough to take on Vicar I assume.
...
Bloodborne is the only game I have a plat trophy in.
It was so worth doing it all
If you beat Blood Starved you can take Amelia, just be very agressive
>Having trouble with Amelia
bitches don't know 'bout my +3 flame sprayer
>that tryhard youtuber voice
Kill me
Tfw just shoving a +3 Saw Cleaver up that big hairy cunt and getting viscerals
Really Vicar Amelia is one of the easier fights in the game. I'd say Blood Starved Beast is harder, but its probably just his near-1-hit kill grapple that poisons you
Anyone want some Bloodborne lessons? Only $25 an hour.
Hit me up.
BB, Demon's Souls and DaS1 are the only games I have plat in.
Was going to go for the ones in 2 and 3 as well, but then I remembered they're bad games.
It's the poison in general. If BSB didn't have that, it'd be the easiest boss in the game by miles
Well, that actually gave me some hope. Gonna try tomorrow.
Just smack her arm and keep smacking it. You can usually stunlock her through the whole fight
Vicar is much more of a pain than BSB. BSB has his annoying 3rd phase where he spews poison constantly but his moveset is still the same so the same strategy from earlier should work. Vicar is fucking annoying because of the ridiculously large HP pool she has. This on top of her shitty healing mechanic which you can't negate if you didn't pick up a key item.
Most games I hate the forced tutorial sections in them and rather just play the game. Why I think Bloodborne is one of the goat games is simply because it is pure gameplay. You have full control of your character at all times. There is no walking sections, there is no "character is dying. hold up to survive", qte or anything like that.
Just stay close and she will never try to heal
simply use the mist something item, and you're fine. also it's easy to simply attack her, when she tries to heal.
Remember to never ever dodge backwards the game will punish you horribly for it
I cannot get past ludwigs second phase unless i overlevel, and cannot get past sir alonne at any level. Pics for this feel
Use your best serrated weapon and wackemsmackem (beastcutter is good)
But when he does that bullshit AOE attsck then get as far away as possible, idk if theres a way to cancel that shit
You can get past phase 1 but not 2 literally how phase 2 is ez modo just stab him in the dick and dodge right
if you don't experience it all yourself, you missed out on the bloodborne people praise so much
The one where he sticks his sword down into the ground or the anime attack?
If it's the second one you can just get behind him. First one I'm pretty sure you just have to GTFO.
Will remember that, thanks.
shills trying to push holiday sales
I don't know, second phase is very hard to predict and the swings are way too wide for my liking, i was only able to beat him with help first time, which is the only time i've used help to beat a boss, orphan of kos was babby-tier compared to ludwig
You could also take on the hemwick witches first and get some nice weapon upgrade material
He doesn't take bonus serrated damage.
Stick on him and never let him get far away. You can fairly easily dodge his close range swings and just get to his ass when he charges his sword.
Stick to his crotch and dodge towards where the swing is coming from, he'll miss every time
watch out for his AoE attacks, and learn the dodge patterns, when he swings the combos. then it's easy.
Woop!
>also, the game does a good job of teaching you how to play?
No, not really. The game's mechanics are just listed as notes on the ground and there is no tutorial of any kind, which is odd considering the other souls games had tutorial areas with places to try out the mechanics written in the notes on enemies and it went through them in a natural order. BB just has a bunch on the ground seperate from everything else and expects you to remember them.
Example: parrying
In DeS and DaS1 the message explaining how to party was right before an easy to parry enemy who was standing by themselves, so you tried it out. In BB the message explaining parrying is in the dream, seperated by a loading screen from any enemies. Plus it's not explained very well since it uses the term "interupt", which could very well mean just flinching them out of an attack. Parrying in BB is something I kind of figured out by accident by attempting to do just that.
Plus the game throws you in the deep end. Centeral Yharnam is a huge non-linear level with 17 different types of enemies, multiple routes, a bunch of NPCs and only one Respawn Lamp. Gasgoine is the ultimate casual filter, if you can do Centeral Yharnam and unlock all the shortcuts by yourself, beat Cleric Beast and finally defeat Gascoine to reach Cathederal Ward you are capable of doing anything the game asks of you.
The witches are already dead. Got frustrated with Vicar, so I wandered around some places. Currently using Ludwig's Holy Blade and the pimp cane.
What about Paarl? Thats another one you could take out first.
Use whip+fire paper on Vicar and aim for the head for most damage
Myself. I regret going online for my second playthtough since PvP is the worst and my only knock on BB. I couldn't afford online on release so you were forced to git gud. Old hunter bells didn't exist then either.
I still really like playing co-op and help people through my favorite fights pretty regularly but it won't ever compare to finally breaking through a frustrating boss like Amelia or Orphan when you don't even have the temptation to summon.
Then done so Vicar so early, do optional stuff first.
This is the type of setup you CAN have before Amelia if you try hard enough.
>endurance is very, very important
hue
Guys, how to beat this asshole Laurence? Getting tired of his flaming ass. All I have left is him and the Gerhman. Making that run back to Laurence is getting really fucking old fast.
This was my first souls game and I thought you die in a couple of hits anyway vitality is probably a noob trap. I beat the entire game with less than 20 vitality I fucking got gud
Same for me lol no online when I first played
Myself you fucking casual
I've been watching this playthrough recently and it's really fucking hard watching them methodically kill every enemy in their way when they try getting back to a boss.
Whoops forgot pic.
Don't know who or where Paarl is. I was pretty sure I explored everything.
Let a bag monster kill you
Did you meet Eileen in the cathedral ward cuz if you don't help her out before killing Vicar you fail her questline
Amelia and Amygdala taught me desu
Not sure if bait, but you gave me a good laugh OP.
>Fungo
OP here! It's what I wanted :)
Outside cathedral ward there's dude waiting around a corner, let him kill you and you'll wake up in a prison. From that point try heading up. If you reach a very large room that exits into the city, you've gone the wrong way.
Yeah it was a fun video to record, I had fun playing with him.
Do I have to go through that fucking place? I just ran in panic to the next lantern and left as fast as possible.
Yes.
Place is pretty brutal if you go there as soon as you're able. I bailed asap just like you did. By the time I came back though I was clearly overleveled and stomped everything and Paarl died in seconds. Not sure the right time to really do that palce.
Don't worry that place is optional
for now
its better to do it early on
Because you miss out on the qt nun if you hit the Red Moon phase before clearing it
>le git le gud xD
Fromdrones are cancer
>Allowing that yandere psycopath anywhere near you
It's a pretty fast run if you just wanna get to the boss. And if you can't handle that you probably can't handle Paarl desu
Guess I go to Vicar then. Fuck that place and fuck the goddamn boogie mans.
Just do it as soon as you hit The Forbidden Wood
You don't need to fight any snatchers to get to Paarl. Go down the stairs to the middle floor and find the room with the two witches, there are two snatchers standing around a table with a hole in the wall behind them. Just run past them they can't fit in the hole and its a straight shot from there.
If you didn't rescue the nun from there you should go back and get her before progressing too far into the game
Wait, how do you rescue her? I talked to her yesterday and she didn't do anything.
>Getting hit
