itt THAT level
Itt THAT level

it was unironically my favorite level
yeah swimming gets lame especially with the switching/backtracking that made dk64 infamous but c'mon. that boss, that music, those sunken ships that are pitch black
Fuck that level
Oh I love the boss and the atmosphere. But all the swimming makes it unbearable.
hello

>vaguely shrouded FUCKING WATER LEVELS thread
I actually love water levels, but fuck Gloomy Galleon.
>Not Rusty Fuck-it Bay
This one was still good. Rusty Bucket Bay was the most ass level in the game but even it was ok.
That game is just gold baby.
This and the carnival level are some of the major deterrents I have to replaying this game.
It might worth it, because the lagoon/water level is one of my favorites ever.
>mfw i like rusty bucket bay
The only bad part of RBB was the spinny fan things.
grunty industries is my favorite level of tooie because at least it tries to do something somewhat different to the rest of the typical tooie stuff like the repeated minigame of the same get three colors ones worth 3, 2, and 1 points.
even then you could just do that room first then you could get all the other notes with ease
>doesnt like gruntyworld
>likes jolly rogers lagoon
what is wrong with you
Jolly Roger's Lagoon was water level done right not a long as place everything was close together, music was amazing and you gain the ability to breath underwater for that level only.

That too my apologies.
No you don't.
for me its Fungi Forest
the night/day switching is annoying and the setting is really unnerving for some reason
MOTHER
I DID IT AGAIN
you know, I never really played that level even as a kid, and I just recently started a playthrough to indulge my nostalgia, 100%'d the first three levels, and I just got here and kind of stopped
But it's comfy
As a kid I dreaded the night setting the change in music, suddenly evil robotic kremlins out of no where.
that sure is a lot of lives you got there
be a shame if something happened to them
Fungi Forest was my favorite because it was so creepy and dream-like. This also makes Gloomy Galleon my least favorite because it's such a slog to get to FF.
>Dat bgm
>Dat boss
>Dat creative level design
>Dat beautiful outside area
Grunty Industries is great.
>Running on a nut up a long climb
>Multiple starfish exploding in the walls
But dk64 had like the least painful swimming among n64 games.
Oh, god 20 years later. Fuck this place
>Some dick crab thingy at the top that like to knock you off
>needle hits you and you fall off
>land on the ground
>the nut is still up the bolt and you have to despawn it by going back down the level
then you get hit again
>chasing the thieves
that poor rabbit worker in the bathroom suffering from diarrhea.
reeeeeeeeeeeee
does dk64 still run like this on emulators?
Hey boys
Reminder that rusty bucket is slang for a redhead's vagina

>robot kremlins
that's Frantic Factory
I gurantee NOBODY made it through this without looking up the guide
>So i heard you were planning to 100% the game
>not getting that one dragon on that one small island
this was my favorite level.
Oh hey
At least one had to
Level's easy as fuck if you any any skill.
...
STV wasn't mandatory.
>Sunset Vista
>Not Slippery Climb
not necessarily a level but
Mother 3 is my favorite game but even I can admit the pacing on the first 3 chapters is pretty poor and off-putting to someone who just wants to replay the game
I didn't mind it so much. The only level in the game I didn't really spend a lot of time with was the last proper one because I'd already burned out on the rest of the levels.
This is one does it for me.
GOAT level
Rare used to be such cheeky cunts. Glad to see that carried over to Yooka-Laylee.
