What the fuck, Sup Forums? This is better than MGS5. Why didn't you tell me ?
What the fuck, Sup Forums? This is better than MGS5. Why didn't you tell me ?
The best one was CT, pandora tomorrow is second best. The rest was shit
>MGS5
>5
The shit I took this morning was better than MGSV.
>Blacklist
>good
>Pandora
>better than SC1
Son....
Blacklist is the MGSV of the splinter cell series.
>hug small wall
>throw grenades
>explosions everywhere
>auto-lock on, insta kill 3 guards
>slit the throat of another
> +400XP STEALTH KILL
It's basically Gears of War. Enter an area kill everything, move on, exposition, repeat.
Story is garbage as well
I did, but Sup Forums can't believe it's not Conviction 2. Though after E3 presentation everyone expected Conviction 2, including me.
>get equivalent of 10% of ranking from older games
>pretend it's the way to play the game
Score isn't much different from other games, the less sneaky you are the less points you get. Just presented in such way so retards like you would feel good in video games.
Nobody bothered with this game after the STEALTH meme from E3.
It's a shame because this game is actually really good.
And now it became Watch Dogs 2.
The main missions had some slick, cool settings, but it was all ruined by a bad ending with a dumb QTE-ish boss. The side missions were pretty challenging and padded out the game a bit. 8/10
All in all, I'll never get over Chaos Theory.
The boss wasn't that bad, you still had to sneak to get him.
try playing on perfectionist difficulty, you can't use the lock-on feature and guards are much more aggressive when trying to find you. although i must admit that lock-on feature never should have been introduced to the series to begin with. ubisoft has a nasty habit of dumbing down their own games.
Kill yourself you pathetic shill.
This game is a huge stain on the SC name just like Conviction.
It's just that one mission that went in wrong direction. It should find its way to the game. You could tranq them anyway.
He's right though
They literally ripped it from Rainbow Six. Than moved it into Future Soldier.
>It should find
*shouldn't
Worst thing about the game is most of the levels don't even fucking use the light/dark dynamic. The entire series was built on that shit.
>just that one mission
Kinshasa is my favourite AOO from Splinter Cell. Fight me.
Why did Kojima randomly decide to use Roman numerals tho
Can I play this without having to play the others first? I'm looking for some video games.
>It's just that one mission
The entire fucking game is built around takedown mechanics and overpowered abilities like the drone, AOE knockout gadgets and other shit.
They literally took Assassins Creed and Far Cry 3 and mashed them together, you can even see reused assets, AI and animations.
This game does not even offer a manual jump.
>b-but you can play on perfectionist and ignore 90% of the games content this way!
Yeah nevermind the lack of any depth or mechanics which support this mode or make it in any way fun.
One mission is even BUGGED because the sonar google xray vision doesn't work but you absolutely need it to complete the task, only avoidable by looking up exactly where the location is.
They didn't even test it, they added it to shut up legit criticism by actual fans of the series right after the E3 presentation backlash.
Fuck you, you piece of shit, I hope you die in your sleep tonight.
Man, Chaos Theory is def. in my Top 3 of all time:
Heroes of Might & Magic III
Morrowind
Chaos Theory
Yes, but you might find some stuff confusing and might get an itch to play the previous games including Conviction especially for the Co Op in it.
I would call it a mini game. Intermission. Doesn't stop me from sneaking in regular levels. inb4 30 second scene where you run from drone attack without guards as the end of level as if it was entire game
>b-but you can play on perfectionist and ignore 90% of the games content this way!
That's how stealth works in most of games. Even CT has more than enough tool to get by without sneaking. In general stealth depends on limiting oneself. Why do you think ghosting is a thing?
i had the same reaction after blowing it off as another "stealth series gone action" for like two years
don't get me wrong, it's no chaos theory, but it's a better splinter cell than MGSV was an MGS
Second part meant to
V for Venom
>That's how stealth works in most of games.
Except most good stealth games offer you content while ghosting/sneaking.
CT had funny guard conversations, interrogations, easter eggs, interesting detailed areas with multiple angles.
This game offers nothing of this, it's an empty shell.
I backed up against a wall when he hid and he ended up appearing out of thin air to tackle Sam.
>offer you content while ghosting/sneaking.
Yep, you hit the nail on the head with Blacklist. Playing stealthy in Blacklist means missing out on most of the content, whilst playing as a Bourne or Bond type character going in and killing everyone allows you to get the most out of the game. It makes it pretty obvious the ghost playstyle of BL is an afterthought and most of the effort had gone into creating gameplay for panther and assault.
>less freedom than mgsv in terms of gameplay mechanics
>Splinter Cell stories are still shit and will never be as good as DA/Conviction's Angry Sam saga.
>new va for Sam is garbage compared to Keifer.
>grim is no longer grim, but sexy pissed off redhead #6429
what a shock a redhead that's constantly pissed off, cause that's what redheads are, lol.
>female president
>Sam is still not the new Lambert and a rookie cell isn't taking on the mantle for Modern Splinter Cell.
>no Sarah fisher as a cell
>"Dude, there's some freaky porn in this computer" hipster bug eyed nerd dude
>better
I love blacklist unlike the majority of the SC fanbase because the gameplay was heavily improved from conviction, but be realistic, mgsv is better in every way, maybe not as a regular open world game ala gta, but as a sneaking game it's the best out there.
kobin making a return was the highlight of the game.
>This is better than MGS5
That's not a hard thing to do. Even Thi4f and Hitman Absolution are better than MGSV.
>mgsv is better in every way
I can't agree. It was an attempt in open world sneaking game, but both things doesn't seem to fit the way MGSV did. The idea of "sneak by or go around little outpost, run 300 meters through the field to another outpost" is tiring and unfun. If only it was Ground Zeroes or Hitman style open level without grinding and helicopter rides.
Stealth has to rely on linearity.
not for me, planning and sneaking the area however I wanted with a ridiculous amount of ways to approach the situation kept things fresh, there's more freedom of things snake can do that Sam can't when sneaking, he's a more fun character to play as because of how maneuverable he is also the guards changing routes depending on the time if day and them changing their gear depending on how you approach them a lot was great to mix things up and keep it challenging.
yeah I agree the helicopter rides sucked, but it's minor annoyance when you compare it to the time you spent sneaking, also traveling from one base to the other by car or horse is the same as loading your Normandy wannabe, setting up and starting the next mission, if not longer.
you can do almost anything, changing partners, weapons, vehicles, clothing etc through the iDroid without having to go back to the helicopter or mother base unlike blacklist.
you can also drop your new gear while heading to the new base or objective and change on the fly.
Casual ubisoft shit that tries to trick SCCT fans. It's alright though. I had many hours of fun, especially in some parts like the Grimm missions.
And for those complaining about the killing, it's completely canon in the Splinter Cell universe.
haha nice joke op that must be photoshopped Splinter Cell ended with Chaos Theory
ha ha...ha
