tony hawk 1 got me into punk, so there
...
i cant, SA2 was the peak of the sonic franchise and video games itself
Is this a new level of irony?

You came here for this reply, right? I'm pretty sure this is what you wanted.
I got you senpai
Out of the Sonic series or in general?
If the latter, none, if the former, Unleashed comes close. Also;
>Find a better sonic game
Pic related, plebeians.
They share a great amount of tracks and artists. But DX has a lot more just downright bad vocalists singing off-key, the 2nd got rid of those
Hotline Miami
2
>unleashed comes close
It didn't deserve most of the hate it got, but that's really pushing it.
...
the in-game music is mostly more lively in SA1
the vocal tracks other than It Doesn't Matter and Open Your Heart kind of suck compared to SA2's though (which admittedly still has quite a few really poor vocal tracks -- holy shit why is Shadow's theme so badly sung)
Any piece of that sound track gives me nostalgia like crazy.
>wanting compressed audio and more bugs
Shovel Knight
>more lively
What did he mean by this?
youtube.com
Also Tails theme is bad (vocal wise), I'm just browsing through the soundtrack right no
Dark Cloud 2 has the best soundtrack

There's very little punch or volume/tone dynamics in SA2's music, everything barring Rouge/Knuckles' songs ends up with the same flat wall of sound volume throughout the song, even if the melody and instrumentation are competently done.
Like, SA2 is fantastic melodically... but so is SA1 in that regard, and SA1 makes sure its songs use a variety of timbres and none of the songs in it sound like all the notes are just running together and piling on top of each other.
how is it worse?
There is barely any other game that is as bad as SA2 but still regarded as a good game because of nostalgiafags.
Don't judge the whole game by the godawful brown knuckles levels, and the shitty rap music that went with them. I will admit that it's difficult to love the rouge levels, though. If you hate the tails/robotnik levels, you're just being petty.
fantastic OST
shame it's in this game
All non Sonic and Shadow levels are abominations and at least half the Sonic and Shadow levels are pretty bad themselves. Like only 1/4 of the game is salvageable and that is being generious considering how shitty the mission design is even in the enjoyable levels.
And to put icing on the cake there are those horrible minigames like the kart race. The chao garden is horribly tedious and requires you to play the main game to progress which would be good if the main game didn't suck ass but that isn't the case.
>There's very little punch or volume/tone dynamics in SA2's music
I'm sorry but you might just be selectively blind here
He didn't say "worst".
People overrate generations more than SA1/2. It's shallow, the bosses are ass, the remixes were bad, no difficulty, and you're stuck playing either a bootleg classic sonic or boost2win sonic.
THE SCRATCH. THE BASS.
...
do you want to be friends OP
Just bad audio Sync, rest is good.
I've never had this problem. What do you mean by bad audio sync exactly?
ok
In any video game? A lot
In a Sonic game? youtube.com
what do you think of pic related friend
i think its second place on the best OST list
Its not like lipsync was good to start with but you can notice problems in some scenes randomly.
Music sometimes continues instead playing the song when you end a stage.
Other than that nothing important.
This
Games perfect
ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX HIT IT
>tfw I was listening to Knuckles theme this morning
Replayed it in august
Had a fucking blast with it
Eat my shorts faggot
Planet Wisp will never not make me smile.

Is this the new meme like hating on OoT?
Some who says it's shit and nostalgia so everyone has to hate it?
What plebs don't understand is how deep Sonic Adventure 2 really is. Let's compare Sonic's levels in SA2 to typical modern Sonic levels. Each have their own advantages
>Adventure 2
Momentum and physics, sonic actually goes faster downhills, it's quite apparent in city escape, especially in the park section
After doing a homing attack, sonic keeps his forward momentum into running, keeping the gameplay moving
The grind system is affected by momentum too, as well as balancing. It's the deepest it have ever been, especially when paired with...
The trick system. Depending on when you jump off of most rails, you can get a trick or a long jump to keep your speed going. It only fails in the way that the ramp tricks aren't utilized outside of city escape
>Modern Sonic
Zero downhill/uphill physics, but great displays of speed.
Much better designed levels, long multiple paths unlike SA2
Homing attack makes you drop after using it, but this is kinda alleviated by the boost mechanic
Drifting is useful in context and is almost necessary because of how rigid sonic controls, but it's rewarded by gaining boost.
Sonic was and will be always shit.
>ECKA-DOH-NAH, that's what I'm representin'
i love how asteroid coaster sounds straight out of SA1
Not him but Colors ost was fantastic. Completely NAILED the direction sonic ost should be going.
youtube.com
Words of truth, though it is serviceable at times.
What is up with extreme contrarians that say this?
Sonic 3
oh absolutely! fast paced beats, catchy melodies, and energetic performances (like in the horns on that song, and sweet mountain.)
i just realized that even though i love them greatly, a lot of the songs on 1,2,3, and CD are pretty slow paced
Sonic adventure 1
Xenoblade Chronicles.
But they come close
NA > JP
That game has like 2 memorable tracks, maybe three.
