It's not niche like jai alai you fucking munter, it's niche in that it's got a prohibitively expensive cost of entry for most people to engage in it regularly. It's highly visible and highly desirable, but that doesn't mean it's not niche.

This game is hella cool, the characters, levels and soundtrack were all so immersive and the outrageous tricks kept me coming back for more. I must have put 500 hours into this game and unlocked everything. Highly recommend it to everyone of any age.

Fucking this. I spent about $560 on my board alone, bindings and boots were about $300~ on top of that. Then tack on the average lift pass cost of $70 a day, and you've got yourself a pricey sport.
But baby oh baby is it all worth it for a perfect weather powder day.
