Was RCT3 good?
It's really good, playing it now.
how in depth is the user avatar
I bought the beta today user. Was kind of upset about not killing people but I got it anyway because I'm starved for games like this and my expectations were exceeded. Very simple and easy to use building tools that allow for a massive amount of customization that will probably only grow with time.
Planet coaster is the cities skylines of rollercoaster games.
It's fucking excellent, it's missing a couple things but they may add it later, and im sure people who never played any of the RCT games will post dank green text maymays about how shit it is
Just needs boats and go-karts and we got ourselves a game of the decade
My blurry as shit dark work in progress, I have a small castle around a ride and then a train in the back that leads to a cove area down below. Going to put a pirate-y shantytown down there then have a wooden coaster probably duck in and out of the ground.
Terraforming tools are really nice and the maps are gigantic. I would like some better water physics to have things like streams/rivers/waterfalls.
this too
yiff in hell furfag
i dont know they insist in trying to bring theme park games into 3d while they work wonderfully in iso 2d. the only neat thing is 'ride the rides' but that could be a game all its own apart from park building.
Does it work with premade track pieces like RCT or with splines and curves like NoLimits?
Also some advice. Disable global illumination and screen space reflections for a 20+ FPS boost. They're nice when you do see them, but it's not really that often you'll notice them. Some things are barely reflective but still eating up a ton of processing power generating the reflection you can barely see.
You shape each piece the way you want, then move to another piece. I never played NoLimits so not sure if that's the same thing. It feels really good, though. Can crank out a coaster pretty fast for how dynamic you can make it.
It's arguably easier to do.
>hit grid button
oh snap
I hope they listen to the community and actually make any future rides generic with themed versions being variations so we aren't so limited on where we could use most rides.
They also could do with adding a few more iconic rides. I expect things like Spiral slide, Steeplechase, Top spin and Dodge'ems to be added eventually.
Would also be interesting to see some game/prize stalls, something we never saw added to previous RCT games. Shooting galleries, basketball with impossibly small hoops and some frog hook game, those kind of stalls are pretty common at theme parks.
I want a Mr bonez wild ride
I'd like to see one add arcade machines. Almost every theme park has one, but it's never seen in any of these games.
I like how the guests will lean on the counters of shops and stuff, and how the janitor will walk around twirling his broom and stuff.
Though they need to fix some issues where guests will just walk through walls or objects on the corner of a path. And it seems like sometimes the guest animations are in 30 FPS or something, but sometimes they're smooth. It's not my actual frame rate because a choppy guest will be walking right next to a smooth one.
Not a giant deal, just a management sim game. Not paying too much attention.
So, Sup Forums
What are the future features that you want to see in Planet Coaster?
For me, it's the following
>Generic, modern theming for all rides to allow the best possible theming with the scenery and buildings.
>Different theming for all rides, eg. pirate, fairytale, sci-fi
>Actual menu for changing the appearance of a ride, as like RCT 1 and 2
>More shops, with the generic, non-premium variants along with it.
>Game stalls
>Restaurant "blocks", same thing as the stalls with larger space (2x2 or 3x3)
>Arcades, a bigger version of Game stalls as like Restaurants (2x2 or 3x3)
>More water rides
>Actual water physics
Themes
>Candy/Food theming
>Luxury, "premium" theming
>Spooky theming
>Retro arcade/videogame theming
>Retro sci-fi theming
>50's 60's movie studio theming
>Toontown theming
what about roller coaster tycoon world
It's shit.
Just check all of the fucking reviews on steam.
>Asian theming
>Greek/Roman theming
>Snowy theming (and maps)
>More lamp posts
so does planet coaster have the whole tycoon and management aspect or does it spoonfeed you cash until you drown?
All the management stuff is there. I play on medium difficulty and am having a hard time getting enough cash to build a real roller coaster. I'm sure I could have done things better, but seems more difficult to earn money than in RCT. And loans are very limited in this, only up to $6000.
This. Add arcade arenas and left us walk around inside them and play some of the games. Even if they are just simple things like pong and space invaders.
