I was excited for it but they delayed it and read something about it losing its touch.

Isn't the minimum RAM required for this game 12 gb?

8 gigs is the minimum and I haven't had any problems with it yet with a 6 hour session. Maybe it gets messy if you have a fuck huge park though.

It says 12 on the steam page for Recommended. Honestly I haven't really had any issues but the maps are fucking huge now and I could totally see an issue if you really flesh it out.

The huge requirements are all because of the advanced park patron AI that uses a lot of ram and CPU power if you want it to be super realistic.

God I fucking love Planet Coaster. It's full of obvious signs that the devs gave a shit. Like this guy said, RCTW is just a lazy Unity project.

The devs wanted to make a bigger and better spiritual sequel to their RCT entry from years ago and by god have they done it. The game just spews positive vibes.

I like that it's not one of those ones that's broken throughout the beta and leaves you guessing if the release day update is going to fix it, and then it releases broken and you wonder if they're ever gonna fix it as the game fades into obscurity.

I love that the game already completely works in beta without obvious missing features, like games used to do.

Yeah, and I like how the mascots stay in character as they walk depressed out of the park.

I have a feeling Planet Coaster will probably be remembered as the unofficial RCT4, even though actual RCT4's (World and the shitty mobile one) exist.

It's made by the people who made RCT3 so it's not that weird.

If you end up with too many and one is basically doing nothing. Also, they do the same animation when they quit too, like if you lower their pay.

You still kind of expect disappointment. Look at Mighty No. 9. Though I guess that was just one character designer pretending he ever made a video game and just hired some random people to make it.

That's pretty much it though. The team is really important and if you see someone Kickstarting by themselves without a lot of confidence they can get a strong experienced team on-board, it's already a lost cause.

RCTW is $35, I'm guessing you meant to say it was $10 cheaper.

Also, they supposedly just lowered the price to that yesterday, just to make it $5 cheaper than PC because they have nothing else to run on. They have the brand name, but the type of people who would look forward to a new RollerCoaster Tycoon are also the type of people who would actually look into it for a second and realize that RCTW is shit and PC exists.

Just about all the management aspects you'd expect from RCT.

It's sort of there, needs a little tweaking but by and large it's RCT3 but prettier and with an undo button.

Research is a little weird though, which you could choose which coasters you want first.

It wasn't made in assembly.

Game has workshop support, and there's fucking thousands of crap you can download. No need to build your own stuff.

My only regret is that it is really intensive on the PC.

Then wait for a sale. I grabbed the Deluxe edition at a keyseller site. The game, with all the old RTC games + addons, was still cheaper than buying all of RTC on steam (without sales) so it's okay. But RTCW is by no means worth the 35$. Hell the cunts at atari even LOWERED the price after EA instead of keeping it the same or pushing it up. Wasted some money for sure.

I am a bit dissapointed the guest editor is non existent in the Planet Coaster. It was such a nice little feature, i can't imagine why they decided to get rid of it. Hopefully it will be added in some future update.

Pirate/carribean, boreal, alpine and the wonderland/castle for building themes.

Desert, alpine, boreal, carribean and standard for maps.
