I'm a poorfag and was happy to get this for 100 bucks on sale.

I have that monitor and love it, no issues, and good response time. id recommend it

No shame there, that's a steal for $100. How ya liking it?

I'm thinking of picking this up, I'm an autist so I wanted a 1ms monitor for fightan. Anybody have experience with it?

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah all the reviews I've seen have been stellar. It's a sexy looking monitor too. Gonna go with it, I'm excited

I was considering 1ms but after some digging found that (for me, not playing fighters) 5ms would be fine. But that's a really awesome sale on that one, good find.

very sexy! after i take care of some other things i plan on picking up 2 more of them

>2016
>buying 1080p 60hz monitors
>buying a monitor for consoles
>wanting to deal with non-adjustable FOVs of 60 or less with a monitor

that's not strictly a gaming monitor
anyway, i got a 1440p ips monitor.
kinda regret it for gaming, not that different from 1080p in image quality for games, still doom drops from 160 to 110 fps for this small resolution bump.
it's great for everyday use though, and it got a nice blue light protection in the settings that makes reading really comfortable.

>LG 55eg920v 55inch 4k oled tv
>Dell p2415q 24inch 4k Ips Monitor
Trying to drive them with a 970 :(

For the price, I really can't complain. It has a really minimum bezel that would be good for a multi-monitor setup.
It comes with a HDMI cable and a VGA cable, and since I'm a poorfag, that's the sort of little touch I really appreciate.

Did you get 4k planning to upgrade to a more powerful graphics card? Also I've never used 4k for gaming, how's the difference from 1080p/1440p?

i have this coming in tomorrow. going from 1080p to this so kind of anxious. if it turns out a lemon then can easily get a refund since amazon is chill

Using my 1440p IPS 110hz korean monitor, great all around, but I'd rather buy a 1080p/IPS with real 144hz, too bad nobody makes those.

unless you're upgrading your gpu every two years in the high/enthusiast range, no need for 4k.
same for 144hz if competitives games is not a priority.

your average aaa titles are barely optimized enough for ultra 60fps on a mid range card, for indies in gamemaker or unity it's a miracle if they come with unlocked fps

Any good 16:10 monitors out there?

1440p 60hz IPS 25" display from asses

Yeh, planning on upgrading soon but at the moment even the 1080 can't really run 4k so I'm waiting for a 1080ti or maybe whatever AMD are cooking up. Also 4k is great on the tv because of the size but on the monitor it just looks like a really good version of AA. So essentially 4k is only really worth it once you go above 30 inches for a monitor or about 50 inches for a tv at regular view distances. I also have a 40 inch 4k TV that I use as a monitor in my other home which I personally think is the sweetspot since you can sit up close without hurting your eyes thanks to the high resolution but its also big enough to tell the difference between 4k and 1080. Also when you're not gaming up close you can switch to a controller and the tv is still big enough to look fairly decent from a few feet away.

I was thinking about getting this, but fucking jews raised price +100€ just before black friday.

Nice dude, what graphics card you running with it?

I went over to my dad's and he just got a 4k TV, and for movies and stuff it was pretty awesome I gotta admit

i currently have a 980ti. theres a weird error listing so im going to try and pick this 1080 at best buy in a few hours

144hz makes casual gaming even better - frame rate = immersion

>picture is of an 1070

Tbh the 4k isn't even the impressive part. It's definitely good but the tv really comes into its own thanks to the fact that it's an oled panel. Also it has hdr which is great

like i said. its a weird error listing. the Model number shows is the 1080 but sku is 1070. A 10 minute minor inconvenience to drive to best buy and cancel the order if they won't give me the 1080

Damn mine looks exactly line the one in OP
What does this mean.

We have something here user

MG279Q fucking exquisite. 144hz, IPS, Freesync and was only $400 on a newegg flash.

Where the hell the VA panel monitors at?

1440p IPS with freesync/gsync and 4ms or lower response time. I would say gsync definitely if money wasn't a factor.

I'm also waiting to see what "HDR" monitors have in store.

>MG279Q
>$400

Thats dirt cheap, shits like nearly twice that here.
And then I'd still need to upgrade GPU so I can actually run something at 144fps, or atleast 120.

I got one of these about a year ago.

1440p, 144hz, gsync, IPS-panel. Pretty fuckin nice.

I have 3 of these, they're great monitors but they're way too fucking expensive for what they are so I honestly wouldn't recommend them.
