I hope Takaki pulls some stuff from VD back into Senran.
I like how each character had multiple stages of transformation and a rage mode.
Also the aerial options felt better.

Call me crazy but I find Haruka the most fun to use in Burst. Going frantic and spamming the chemical special never gets old.

Block button killed the games. Just because it's a common function doesn't necessarily mean it -should- be one.

I'm not even sure what to think anymore. I was under the impression that Shiki was noticeably worse with her scythe-blend compared to Yagyu, but there isn't a good stage to test that out where everything doesn't die instantly but doesn't have super armor. Shinovi Versus fucked up the difficulty curve even more than I remembered.

Was Estival Versus any better?

In PBS, all the girls are wearing water tanks that look like little jets. Do you think PBS will have dashing or sliding mechanics?

Of all the games, the one I found most fun was playing Mirai in SK2. Shame I don't think she'll ever have that moveset again.

Pure 1v1 pvp is cancer and shouldn't be allowed in SK.

The point battle in EV is pretty fun though, well, as long as you're on a small map.

EV was about the same except they removed dash canceling, which made using some girls a complete pain since their cooldown time made them sitting ducks.

I always forget blocking is even a thing in the Versus games. Also parrying is the most unsatisfying thing ever in them. They should have taken notes from Sengoku Basara.

This is why I always jump instead of ever dashing.

I only used blocking in Dai's fight against Rin, because Rin is just too fast and can easily stunlock Dai

They did a good job making the girls fun to use in 2. Her and Haruka were a blast.

Haruka isn't fun to play in any of the games.

I wouldn't mind a Senran DW game. Bigger fields and more mobs to kill along with guarding and taking bases would make it more rewarding.

yes, gameplay wasn't worse. Everything else was - the characters, the story, character interactions and development, art went more in the lewd direction (and I really fucking liked it when Senrans were lewd AND cute - not in Versus anymore)

Her shurikens were OP as fuck back in burst.

I know they ain't, but they really should trim down this good guys vs good guys bullshit, it only works on american comics from the 2000's, and barely worked at that. Just devise a plot twist (as in, pull a retcon out of your ass) that Yoma were behind this Versus bullshit all along, so there's a clear enemy that brings everyone together to fight.

They wouldn't resist putting a "reload" gag in the game, user, you know this.

They should remove levels from these games. All it does is make earlier stages you want to replay become too easy. There's zero reasons for levels to exist.

I like going back to Burst now and again and just beating ninjas up.I miss having unique aerial heavy attacks. You could link together some really powerful combos with them, even without Hibari's kunai cheese.

Funnily enough the only one from Gessen I enjoyed playing was Yozakura. Shiki didn't impress me that much because there's still loads of other fast characters the play way better. Meanwhile I really enjoyed charging up big 'fuck you' punches with Yo. Gessen is still the absolute worst team over all when it comes to playstyle though.

I like Shiki just because she's got that range that other fast characters don't get usually.
