Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a New Vegas thread.

OWB had no business having a story that good.

Im thankful it did.

I actually preferred Dead Money in terms of story. OWB is good, but not that good.

dead money was a great story, the atmosphere was awesome and gave the feeling of doom and oppression. the combat was..... less than ideal, with those speakers.

i replay them both every playthrough without hesitation.

Did they tried making their own version of Tsar-Bomb or what exactly caused the mountain on top of them to get vaporized in the first place?

>the Think Tank were some of the most reprehensible human beings alive, even before putting their brains in jars eroded their humanity

they vaporized it FOR SCIENCE

>eroded their humanity
Minus zero is still zero

Does anybody actually play this game with any other combo besides Medicine Stick/1911?

No clue, probably some kind of cyber-godzilla-dragon with missiles that blew it up, knowing their track record.

yes.
It's worth pointing out that there's more than one weapon skill in the game

Get outta here Dr. O.

This is where the SJW dev part comes into play, if this were a libertarian dev they'd just say they were shady scientists.

They had something there, they weren't complete monsters. And it is how you get them on your side, appealing to the last scraps of who they used to be

sniping can get really boring after doing it so many times

I prefer energy weapons, and the grenade launching machine gun.

also melee, and unarmed goes without saying.

Can you refresh my memory. I couldnt stand the annoying voice actors in OWB. Maybe because of that i hardly remember the story.

>Something something mad scientists doing mad things and dont care about nuffing

That's a big mountain.

>libertarians have different view points than other people

wowzers

It was a big mountain

>meme guns that weren't even in the game before DLCs

Its probably a Saturnine nuke or a death laser.

it's an old meteor crater...

Now it's a big empty

Not really, no. I'm not big on libertarianism but I'm pretty sure they would find the part where they were basically working on government funding to screw over US citizens pretty damn disgusting.

With some mods melee and unarmed becomes no longer viable. I wish i knew what mods those were in my fustercluck installation.

>SJW dev
If they were SJW, half of them would be minorities, two would be Tumblrites, and the last one is trans.

Do mods count?
If so, I go Ferguson Rifle / Sweet Revenge / Blood-Nap / Blade of the West.

If not, then just Bozar / Blood-Nap / Blade of the West.

>not wanting to be a cowboy with a flashy slide/lever gun

yeah, they invented a fission bomb, and with all their experiments they have a "go big or go home" mentality.

so yeah, tsar bomba x10

the game explicitly tells you that the entire facility was once beneath a mountain, but they blew it up on accident at some point.

>Big {Mountain} MT used to be a mountain. Then there was a... slight mishap. Now it's a crater - the Dome used to be buried, now it's exposed to the sky.*
>*Don't get me wrong. Makes the sky light up like a planetarium at night. All those spectra... so soothing.*

4u.

I didn't. That's the beauty of New Vegas having a huge variety of weapons in every category - you've got what you wanted, and I enjoyed tearing the absolute shit out of everything with my minigun.

>Not punching Deathclaw's heads off
It's like you didn't want to have fun

>Klein... remember the time you forgot to carry the 2 and nearly blew up theY-0 Research Center? Oh, wait, you did! ...Or was that me?

what kind of art style is this called? it's not regular retrofuturism.

back in 2012 I remember seeing a geography poster that had a similar art style, but it was made in the 1970s and I really like this aesthetic.

colorized black and white

It's basically just standard 40's-60's ad cartoons.

I have a shit ton of old NatGeos just for the old ads.

i cant put a finger on the name but they did a similar style in 2001 space odessy, some kind of scifi from the 70s like you say but not 'retrofuture'.

BIG IRON

Did Dala hate herself?

Ain't no fun like maxing out melee and punching deathclaws to death.

It's kind of hard to say since in Fallout every single mirror is broken...

I guess Dead Money was supposed to be "lel hardcore git gud" but just ended up being annoying.

At least Lonesome Road strikes that cord right.

>Big MT experiments are all over the place in the main game and other DLCs
>Dead Money wouldn't have even happened without them fucking things up

fair point.
But this feels like the one time, given the option, the mirrors would be broken.

>Combat Armor Reinforced Mk2
>1st Recon Beret
>Authority Glasses
The epitome of min-max. Lemme guess, you have 1 LCK and 10 INT?

I've read the theory that she broke the mirrors after the transition to a brain-in-a-jar. She definitely enjoyed her body before, in a way. She has a lot of sexy sleepwear, and those teddy bears are proxy audience for her to show off. I guess she compensated for looking pretty much genderless in her lab coat, as shown on the picture.

>bethesda bought a half-finished, broken excuse of a game engine
>instead of admitting the fuck-up they go along with it and try to continue the work on it with the least competent coders on the market
>they still make fallout and elder scroll games on it
Anything short of slavtechnoscorchery can't fix their shit.

What would the Think Tank think of the Institute?

Minmax? There are light armours with more DT than Combat Armour Mk. II.

...

Correct.
I wanted to be the punchiest man alive on the wasteland come heaven or hell

All the DLC events are the fault of Ulysses and Big MT.

Ulysses
>Directed Elijah towards the Sierra Madre
>Helped the White Legs raze New Canaan
>Woke up the Think Tank from Mobius's loop
>Lead the Courier into the Divide, causing even more nukes to launch.

The Think Tank
>Created Spore Carriers and Plants
>Created Nightstalkers
>Created Cazadores
>Were responsible for the Sierra Madre's cloud leak and suits
>Used Hopeville as a testing ground for their weather control, which eventually caused the Divide's storms
And probably a whole lot of other shit due to their involvement with the US Gov't, Vault-Tec and presumably Enclave.

min max would be Joshua Grahams armor, light touch, 10 luck and the first recon beret

They would scoff at their inefficiency and suggest they'd simply kidnap people, tear off their flesh, organs and brains and replace them with artificial ones with inbuilt explosives and mind control unit with a remote-activated kill-switch. Then use the materials that would otherwise go making androids, instead use them to make all sorts of combat monsters to protect States of United, or was it United States?

>Woke up the Think Tank from Mobius's loop
He really didn't, though? The variable that changed the situation was your uniquely damaged brain, which forced the auto-doc to perform the brain extraction correctly, instead of turning you into a just another lobotomite.

True, but the Mk2 is probably the best armor in vanilla. Also it looks like ass.

Ulysses started asking questions about US history the Think Tank couldn't answer, then he asked them "who are you, who cannot remember your history?"

Mobius had to wipe their memories because they started really questioning their existence for the first time

The implication is that Ulysses woke the Think Tank, but the Courier is what really convinced them that there is still life and people outside the dome.

>They didn't know why they were there, what had led to that point, their names - like serpents devouring themselves, cannibalizing their own thoughts. When all seemed lost, thought it was the end - my anger gave me strength to ask them my last question. 'Who are you, that do not know your history?' and they awoke ... for a short time. The flag you wear, they said. We remember, America. It wasn't just a flag to them ... it was a place, an idea they had cared for. Once. They told me what it was like to grow in that world ... all they had done to lift it up ... protect it. They ... didn't know it was gone, that ... yet they had cared once. Before forgetting their history.

>decide to do Old World Blues at level 5 because i've never played New Vegas before
>get assraped by robots and lobotomites until i'm lvl 20
>go back to mojave as Dr. Science, overlord of the wasteland
overall, i liked Old World Blues better underleveled, really made the enemies feel more terrifying.
what quest should i do next

This game is alright, but it's no where near as good as Fallout 4.

I actually kinda like how it looks. The helmet is a bit too much, but the base armour is a neat mix of goofy sci-fi and practicality. Shoulderpads are a bit too much, though.

Yeah, but when you come in they don't even remember the question he asked. They'd be helpless without you. I guess it's a two-hit combo.

without hesitation

Dead Money

ill just kms then

If you wanted to max your Crit Chance. But by doing so you sacrifice. Using the Mk2 with 1st Recon Beret is the most balanced outfit, because it has less weight than power armor, but more DT than a lot of other armors. Also the crit chance boost.

>Independant Courier Duster master race

I had this saved on my pictures folder, I don't know why. Save date is July 15th 2011. 1:53 in the night.

I only remember that it had to do something with "Black Dynamite"

>Walking through the Mojave when suddenly this guy slaps your star bottle caps
What do?

Hey you remind me of someone...

The lack of gloves is what gets me, and the torso makes you look like you missed leg day.

sacrifice DT*

CA MK2 doesn't boost crit chance though.

Graham's armor does have a boost to crit chance, and a high dt. And since it's a light armor, you get an additional crit boost if you take the light touch perk.

>lack of gloves
There's a mod for that

I wish his event was more extensive and he showed up later to try to murder you for your bottle caps or something

IN THE SHADOW OF THE VALLEY

Oh, well. I've been told that I have a very common face. :)

So, how far has everyone gotten in Nuka-World™? That DLC was way better than anything NV offered

Comfiest and most underrated Mojave Music Radio song

I agree with you that Graham is better, but the point I'm trying to make is that CA Mk2 is the best, most balanced armor in VANILLA. With DLCs, something like Elite Riot Gear or Graham's armor becomes the best.

But people who use CA Mk2 are vanillafags who don't mod.

The synths aren't even the same setting. The entire Fallout series has been pulp science fiction, but synths and a lot of the Institute's bullshit are high concept science fiction. The dumb things are closer to ipods than they are to the clunky securitrons.

It's like asking what the Think Tank would feel about Apple computers with the kind of microprocessors that are impossible in the game's original canon.

HELLO DERE

Have you ever been so mad at someone you've never met you built a robot proxy of them just so you can torture it?

ALMOST MISTOOK YA FOR A RAIDER I DID

I like to image she use her makeshift runway and audience in her house, showing off all kinds of clothes.

Until she catches her own eyes in a mirror, stopping her completely then has a mental breakdown brought on by self-loathing. smashing mirrors, tossing teddy bears around, getting piss drunk on all that wine she has in her house.

>Malcom Holmes
Literally worse than Oliver "SMELL THAT AIR" Swanick.

WHO WON THE LOTTERY

Into the sunset we will ride.

Doctor Dala a CUTE

>we will never fight the deadliest robot of all

Ofcourse. Tell me, good sir, what is your name?

why is there a super mutant inside of it?

Doctor Dala is adorable in a weird stalker-pervert way , but is she waifu-material?

there are hints that they helped posidon energy make the tesla death beam aka archimedes orbital ion cannon.

also reverse engineering the stealth boys.

>microprocessors don't exist in fallout
except they do and the platinum chip is one of the most advanced, fuck did you even play NV?

Rod Broward, of course.

...

>except they do and the platinum chip is one of the most advanced, fuck did you even play NV?

you reply to the wrong guy?

CUTE

Adorable.
But I already have a waifu.

yeah, that's right before she gets drunk and busts open her hands smashing all the mirrors in her room

It most SO fast, it looks like it's standing perfectly still

The fuck? They were literally running state sanctioned concentration camps.

That's not really libertarian.

draw more Dala pls

>not wanting to be her teddy bear
>not wanting to have long, orgasmic nights of breathing and callisthenics
