How do we stop the Vita? Isn't it suppose to be dead already? Why does it keep getting localizations?

Vita's probably one of the more lucrative niche platforms, just because a fairly large portion of the current active audience buys a shitton of anime games. Not a lot of platforms have collectors as its main demographic.

>NIS announces a vita localization every day this week

Awesome

Vita means life.
It's likely getting another announcement from NISA tomorrow too

I cant remember what the average attach rate for the Vita, but it was insanely high. Those dirty weebs put their money where their mouths are

>NISA

Eww no

i'm glad it's still getting support so i'm not forced to use the 3DS and it's garbage screen for handheld games

store.steampowered.com/app/541450/
It's also coming to Steam.

can confirm, love my vita stuff.

I love my Vita!

They said it was 10:1 back in 2013 at E3. Seeing as how they haven't sold a ton of Vitas since then, and games keep coming, it's likely much higher now.
We're at a point where there are 8 Atelier games and 8 Nep games on the Vita, so with just being a fan of one of those alone you almost hit that ratio.

I remember circa early-2014 vitagen.

Granted, a large portion of the Vita's library is made up of legitimately solid games. A higher percent than pretty much any other console out there, and it gets so many.

Whatever happened to Net High? I thought a lot of people were hyped for it but I didn't see any discussion for a while.

I've lost count of how many Vita games I own. I have 30+ alone physical, and adding non PS+ digital I've got over 75 games at the very least.

>people are getting excited over this shovelware trash
Why?

It bombed. Shortly after release it got English trophies though so there's a chance it may come over still.

It's had about 5 localization announcements in the past week alone. That's just the most recent one.

>store.steampowered.com/app/541450/
>It's real

No you nigga, stop it, I'm in the middle of getting into the geomatrix right now, I ain't ready for this shit, the grind for upgrade materials is massive and I can't bring myself to do it again!

The added benefit of having a dedicated consumer base that is mostly hobbyists. You don't see a lot of low quality stuff because it won't have a chance.

Some of the low quality stuff that has hit it in the last few years has pretty much all been digital, and it gets shit on fast.

Reminder that Steins;Gate 0 is out this month.

Please be excited!

>Screenshot from yesterday
>It's in English

wait what

review copies are getting sent.
saw someone in /vitagen/ posting about getting it

>12 days
I can't handle it

I fucking need this. Can't wait

>Dragon Quest builders and the new SD Gundam game shipping soon from play asia
>Physical versions with english
Excited

Test

The only dungeon crawlers worth a shit are:
Etryan oddyssey
Moero chronicles
Dungeon travelers

Anything else is SHIIIIIT

What about Coven?

I hope it's as good as Demon Gaze. Lost interest in Operation Abyss rather quickly.

And if you're a fan of both like me, you skew the average quite a bit...

I have like 20 Vita Games. I've never bought so many games for a platform before since the PS2

Too bad Etrian Odyssey 5 was shit

Coven has a good story and some inventive things like the ability to break walls, the dungeons are all very cool looking too.
But gameplay-wise it's mediocre

It's not like Operation Babel is a Vita exclusive.

Eh I have 40 physical games and I sort of lost count of how many digital games I've bought on it due to having to delete them regularly.

The real concern should be whether NISA announces Coven or not

It was originally part of the PCMR.

I saw someone post elsewhere that the store that leaked Tokyo Babel also leaked DR:AE PS4 so it's likely that for PS4/PC.

So even if it is that, they still need to announce Coven and Demon Gaze 2 so those would likely be further down the road.

Why of all these publisher is NISA announcing so many vita games?
Those assholes are more likely to censor and add bugs to these kind of games.

>There will never be a DRPG as good as Sword City on Vita

NISA still breaking shit and being a bunch of cunts about it?

Nah, all their Steam releases have been pretty much bug-free for me.

I don't know, I love my JRPGs and niche games, but I can't see what anyone likes about the Vita. Out of the 5 games I have for it, I only liked 3, and 2 were ports. Buyer's remorse to the max.

>graphixfags for goddamn handhelds

But sword city is on vita?

And the enhanced version is coming out next year?

Oh please

i'm not even a huge graphics fag but 240p with games running at under 30fps a lot of the time is unacceptable

When is Atlus localizing DT2-2?

Did they fix cladun on PC yet?

What about Demon Gaze and Mary Skelter?

>sotsc
>good
LOL
No amount of good art can save that kusoge

>all those watered down ports
>all those actually bad games
>all those barely enhanced but years late ports/remakes
>skipping the best 3ds games
I guess this is how you spot a sonyger.

Dunno, don't have it. But both Yomawari and Firefly Diary work as intended. I heard Phantom Brave is also a good port too.
Criminal Girls is quite stable too.

Wait to those games to come to Switch to see the nintendo fanboys suddenly consider these games good.

Never had that issue outside double battles in pokemon games.

The DS/3DS has always been the best for niche weeb games, and Sony boys shat on Nintendo about it despite those platforms actually selling worth a damn and making the devs money.

Cladun is a lost cause, they forgot about it much like they forgot about Clan of Champions.

>Stop liking what I don't like!

Because they have business relationships with Experience and Kadokawa.
Also they tend to do pretty well when handling their third party licensed games.

Nintendo would actually have to improve their third party relations for that to happen.
It's much more likely for them to stay the same and the smaller devs just stay on Vita where they know their fans are.

Is Switch finally going to kill the Vita?!

already happened with Neptunia on PC, wouldn't be surprised

What games?

I loved bouncing from tales of hearts r to tales of the abyss on my 3ds.

The quality dropoff was so massive it was shocking.

>Why don't player models have faces anymore?

Stop being retarded. Neptunia has a huge fanbase of yurifags everywhere thanks to the anime.
Pic related, a "lesbian" tranny who worships Neptunia games.

This.

Once you experience a certain standard of graphics... it's extremely fucking hard to go back.

Post yfw the Vita outlasted the Wii U

My Nintenbro friend literally cried when the Wii U died

It took every fiber of my being not to be a smug asshole about how the Vita lived longer

There's so much wrong with this post I don't even know where to begin

Oh look. Another weeb game with shit gameplay.

The Vita will never die!

I suppose being on life support connected to the Sony Japan feeding tube does technically count as being alive.

Yeh apart from Disgaea PC, their recent ports have been decent.

It's literally being kept alive by a high volume of third party japanese support.

Sony Japan hasn't been doing shit but produce the systems for years.

The Vita just had the arguably GOTY of 2016, Ys VIII

You really can't call it dead

Just got a my Yomawari and VD copies in the mail

SG:0 coming in a few weeks too

Feels good being vita man

>Vita killer app is Japanese only
You guys wont fool me again, i'll wait for it to get localized and everyone to start backtracking and qualifying the praise

It's only getting a PS4 release in the west

Phantom Brave has a demo
You can actually try it out right now instead of just going on heresay
Its a fantastic port

There is nothing said about a release yet, the ps4 version isn't even dated in japan
It's only a Vita exclusive for now

Good for you
youtube.com/watch?v=c2COAQql5Fo
I like how that track is the first thing that play when you really start the game, the game is telling you it's going to do something magical (and it does)

>Announcing all these vita ports just so they'll have an excuse not to uncensor criminal girls due to "lack of resources"

You know it's true

Yep exactly. To be fair NISA has been pretty good with PC lately.

I can't wait until all the subhuman trash bitches once again about Ys having party members.

>NISA confirmed Cladun Sengoku is getting a triple Vita/Steam/PS4 release
Nice, I really hope they announce The Princess is Money Hungry and Refrain. They already announced The Longest 5 Minutes in The World, which game out after Refrain, so anything is up in the air.
I have faith in you NISA!

Tfw pirating all the vita videogames
Tfw playing the LITERAL pirate exclusive videogame of digimon world next order eng ver

i didnt like the previous game that much though. did they improve on it?

even the antis in 2ch who hated Celceta didn't do that for Ys VIII

Moero's not even good. I'd legitimately put Demon Gaze over it.

>tfw no 3.61+

I'm going to have to buy the PS4 version of Steins;Gate 0 and I have it

Speaking of Demon Gaze is DG2 still coming out? It was announced years ago and then never brought up again.

They already talked about releasing free DLC for it that includes a story about half the size of the game after it comes out.

Guaranteed Replies

It already came out.
No one talks about it because the art got worse on top of it already being a mediocre DRPG

Damn, I actually liked Demon Gaze RIP

It's a shame that I'll never get to support these PC ports because nisa is still a piece of shit

Is Tokyo Babel really that interesting? I tried to make a thread about Rose coming to Steam yesterday and barely got replies.

No problem, m8.

>No one talks about it because the art got worse
But muh delicious Fran

Nah. I didn't like the first game.

Why not? They seemed to imply they might consider uncensoring Criminal Girls 1 on Steam.

Somewhere around 10:1

Vita owners buy, on average, ten games per one Vita console sold or something like that.

This was two years ago too when the Vita wasn't fully kicking yet

Localization fucking when?

Yeh that's what I thought too, while Rose looks promising, Tokyo Babel looks kinda meh. Especially compared to Sword City. It doesn't help Tokyo Babel also has a female protagonist which is quite gay desu.
