I deliver to Sup Forums something that will make you rage, unless you read it as satire in which case it's fucking hilarious, enjoy.

took me until the 4th paragraph to start internally screaming

I should have stopped reading here

>"soulsborne"
stopped reading there

I'm goin' in lads. Wish me luck.

I'm back.

Really, anyone in their right mind would call her out for being so incredibly wrong. If she cared at all about the games she would know how each of those characters, save perhaps Quelaag, had reason to be written that way.

A waste of time and nothing else.

>perhaps Quelaag

The whole point of Quelaag's design is the terrifying juxtaposition of "awwwright" and "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT." We know this because she doesn't really receive development as a character; what you see is what you get, and what you got was titillation atop a horrifying spider-monstrosity.

MiB meanwhile is meant to be sort of uncanny valley - human in appearance and little quirks in behaviour, but with zero ambitions, passions, interests, and is otherwise clearly a supernatural entity that doesn't think like a human in spite of her resemblance to one.

That being said, you have to be blind to play DES and come out of it saying MiB isn't a dedicated waifu character. She's adorable, compliant, and if you're autistic enough to care, complaining she's "housewifey" is somewhat valid.

What baffles me is that Desert Sorceresses appeared nowhere in this article.

>qt spidergirl
>"""terrifying"""

>"uguu~"

kek

this retard already started everything wrong with the maiden in black, i didn't expected anything different though, it was funny.

Looks fine to me.

That's because the author never got past Harvest Valley, senpai

After reading the other articles I really question her sanity.

Her conclusions come to her as a woman with a permanent victim complex, probably father issues, or a lover gone wrong.

I read it seriously and she's not entirely wrong. Just deal with it. Nobodies taking your previous virus away.

She's a godess not a waifu you're complaint with her wishes unless you feel like murdering her.

>What baffles me is that Desert Sorceresses appeared nowhere in this article.
Agreed. Also, if feminists have anything, anything at all, to stand on, it would be the husband and wife relationship with that scorpion boss in DaS2. MAYBE you could argue that there's something there but at the very least it's a lot less of a stretch than the shit in that article.

>SoulsBorne
I hate what people call this shit.
Souls games.
Fromsoft games.
But no, they gotta be fuckin 'chic' and 'hip'.
I hate them all.

>>The whole point of Quelaag's design is the terrifying juxtaposition of "awwwright" and "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT.
it was inspired on a spider woman from a rpg that miyazaki played as kid(it was ugly as fuck and had 6 boobs though)

>We know this because she doesn't really receive development as a character; what you see is what you get, and what you got was titillation atop a horrifying spider-monstrosity.
That's false have you even really played the game? She is doing this to get humanity for her sister, and besides that she does have unused dialogue recorded.

How far did you guys make it? I got to
>This is disgusting not only in the way this praises violence against women, but also portrays a woman with a disability as not whole and not capable of being powerful. Using a disability as a way to show that a character is weak is a completely inappropriate and an untrue portrayal.
before I couldn't take it anymore.

>The following are excerpts from a multi-part series I did on the SoulsBorne series in which I examine the roles of women in the Dark Souls and Bloodborne video games.

And dropped. I'm sorry I just can't.

Quelaag gets a motive, yes. She also has unrecorded dialogue that, iirc, is just her telling the player to fuck off. That being said, the majority of her function is to be a scary/kinda hot (pun not intended) boss encounter and help tell the sad story of the Witch of Izalith.

Miyazaki received inspiration from a lot of things, but boiling Quelaag's design down to "it looked like a thing from my childhood" isn't the whole of it. He likely saw plenty of things in the vidya of his youth, but there had to be a particular reason for including this thing.

The audio is recorded, and she gives you the option to help her sister giving humanity. That's what Kirk was doing, Kirk was basically working for Quelaag.

meant to say unused, tired as fuck.

and, yes, we glean that giving humanity to her sister is her motive by talking to her sister.

>and, yes, we glean that giving humanity to her sister is her motive by talking to her sister.
no, she would not talk about her sister, but she would give you the option to help her.

>Echoing the idea that men are happy to see a woman’s life-sustaining breasts, but wary of their live-giving vagina.

but this is probably only because I didn't play Demon Souls

holy shit even for some SJW bullshit this is some entry-level shit

she talks like a goddamn stereotype and has zero original insights, not even wrong ones

I know this is dark souls lore but can we tone the autistic semantics down

you wear the old witch's ring and she thinks you're quelaag and finds it normal/routine for you to give her humanity, ergo we can assume this was normal and routine behaviour between the two of them

Holy shit dude i'm talking about the unused content not the content ingame, can you really not understand that?

This person is certainly trying.

I made a pastebin for those who don't want to set foot in that shithole

>What is more, even though Quelagg has a beautiful torso the lower half of her body is reminiscent of a grotesque spider. Echoing the idea that men are happy to see a woman’s life-sustaining breasts, but wary of their live-giving vagina.

Is this a YLYL ? Cause I lost hard to the above sentence.

Can't help but be reminded of that too : youtube.com/watch?v=ohd0aT3m__k
