Is there any reason to buy this if I'm just gonna play at 1080p? I mean the TV I use more often in my room is 720p. My big screen is 1080. Is it gonna be worth it? I don't have a ps4 yet.

To get lower framerates for a more cinematic effect
I believe if you have the PS VR, it benefits from it quite a bit.
No but seriously.
>I don't have a ps4 yet.
yep, cause the price difference is a joke
If you aren't planning on buying a 4k TV then don't bother.
Many games look better on the PS4 pro, though some can dip into lower frame rates. This is even at 1080p, since they use dynamic super resolution to scale a higher resolution image down to lower resolutions.
Frame rates suffer in some games but this is something that developers are going to be working on to fix, and doesn't apply at all to games that are vanilla PS4 games with no pro enhancements - those games play just as good as they do on the PS4
Going forward, everything will just look better and perform better on the pro. It's a bumpy start but it's a solid console
If you had a PS4 already I wouldn't recommend upgrading, but for someone who doesn't own a PS4 yet, absolutely get one. It's a small additional cost for a hugely more powerful machine. The extra HDD space alone is worth it, and you're getting so much more
Yeah, you can choose to have better framerate and or supersampling depending on the game
Name one ps4 exclusive that isn't Bloodborne.
Undertale
the other 3 fighting games
yakuza
weeb games
jackie chan
its worth it just for bloodborne tho.
Ratchet and Clank
Horizon
Last Gaurdian
Persona 5 (kindof but doesn't really couont because it's also on PS3)
Yakuza
Nioh
Honestly if im going to buy a ps4 pro its for the 1tb HDD. Whenever i buy a larger game, i find myself in tough decisions on what to delete to make room.
You can easily replace the HDD of any PS4 you dummy
Persona 5 counts for the same reason anyone else only counts multiplats if you play the PC version: the PS4 is outright superior to the PS3.
Just like when a game has a PS4/Vita release. The Vita release might as well not even exist because unless the developer gives enough of a shit the Vita version is garbage.
A 1TB drive of any quality will cost at least $60
Why not just spend the extra $40 and get a 2.3x more powerful machine? The drive at that point is a free bonus.
I don't think upgrading is good unless you have money to burn, but for someone who is getting into the PS4 now, they should only be considering a pro
>buying a new console just to go from 720p to 1080p in an anime game
Wait and see if the games are interested get patches for the 1080p.
Especially if they just run at fucking 30fps.
Well yeah if you don't have a PS4 already you should get a Pro, but with how that post was worded i thought that user already had a PS4
>he doesnt watch pointlessly upscaled anime in 1080p
>not enjoying you're waifu in 1080p.
>not enjoying her in Native 4K** when it inevitably gets Pro support
Yes it's worth it.
