Very likely since the NES Mini is so fucking popular and Nintendo is pulling a classic move of making it hard to get.

To be honest, you'd better better just emulating with an Intel NUC or building a cheap Pentium PC with a spare case you might have and buy a wireless SNES controller clone. OR just get an Xbox One controller. At least then you can get more than just what Nintendo thinks you might like.

Oh, sure. Wario's Woods, Vegas Stakes and Double Dragon are absolute SNES classics. And everybody wanted an SNES to play Space Invaders on it back in the day. And Uniracers and Lost Vikings were super popular too.
Out of this World was a computer game, for crying out loud.

I wouldn't expect any games based on licensed properties due to potential rights issues and such. It would be much easier for Nintendo to add another one of their own games or hit up a 3rd party that still exists and they have a relationship with (Capcom or Konami for a couple examples) for one of their original IPs than go through all the red tape to add a licensed game.

Like they would actually get the rights to those 3rd party games.

I say put Tetris Attack, DKC2, Street Fighter 2, Area 88, Wild Guns, Bomberman 2, Yoshi's Island instead and swap Gradius III with Star Fox, Super Punchout with Killer Instinct and Earthworm Jim with Secret of Mana.
