>"please enter your character name"

"please enter your character name"
>not having a nickname or being witty
>Use one unique nick for everything
>never had an issue with the name being taken
I do not know what issues are you experiencing
Uhhhhhhh...
>single player game
>Name must be 3 characters or more
Just enter aaaaaaaa
What ? Who wants to come up with shit all the time...
you stop derailing my thread right now mister
Helloooo NURSE!
moar
...
Ew.
I still haven't used most of my amiibos because I don't know what to call them
>Typical handle includes the word "Shell"
>Hell is filtered
Thanks Ubisoft, what a wonderful company.
Fuck I haven't even touched the updated model in SFM yet.
Sheck?
I use Billevans in honor of my favorite jazz piano player Bill Evans.
I just use names like faggot, queer, nigger or wanker
Yes I know I'm immature
Coming up with something that doesn't get snatched by someone else somewhere on the internet (and that I assume doesn't sound completely like nonsensical gibberish) is a pretty admirable achievement.
I always use my name Brian if i',m playing as a guy and Brianna if I'm a girl
I just use my own name. Bet you fuckers never even thought that was possible huh? That's why you're not in Mensa like I am.
you really fired my neurons there
Brianna who?
:^)
First syllable of your name + first syllable of your surname.
Done.
doxd
>Done
Interesting character name.
I just use my childhood nickname. I used to hate it to death [It is simmiliar in spelling like Dudly from HP] but I actually embraced it and I like it.
>madr
No, that's a terrible name.
i just go full weeb and name my characters kaeru
>walking with party members
>look around
>one is gone
>what the fuck?
>no where to be found
>need to load a prior save
>Mihu
Terrible
First + Last would make much more sense for many more cases rather than First + First.
Gala
BINGO, NIGGERS
I have a couple of default names I use for games.
One is my regular handle for online games.
One is the name I use for fantasy/medieval games.
One is the name I use for modern/sci-fi games.
I'm shit at coming up with names so it's an easy way not to have to think about it.
I took an obscure as fuck mythological name. I've been using it for years and it's never been taken.
Seriously once you get out of the standard greek/norse/japanese/etc. mythologies there are easily hundreds of good names that barely anyone recognises let alone uses for vidya. Either pick a god/spirit/hero/monster that you think is cool, or just go for a name that sounds good.
>Tako
I don't know...
name 8 games
Jackie Chan
How uncreative are you faggots?
Zelintia
Bersaul
Trelor
Karmanc
Fraisia
Pelor
Sellu
Rouqant
Vard
Allivara
Yoriff
Illarissa
There I just spent 5 minutes making all of those.
>Dongus
...
>koha
Do you write shitty fantasy novels, user? If not, I think you may have a new career ahead of you.
I don't, but thanks user. Probably would make me more money than my music composition degree.
>playing my wow main
>get into argument in Trade
>guy calls me a redditfag SJW
>never even been to reddit and Sup Forums as fuck
>links me a reddit account where someone used my super speshul and unique wow name as their reddit handle
>filled with SJW and Blizzard game shit
>shocked but honestly can't think of anything to say to make it sound like it's not me
>reluctantly namechange character rather than deal with the shame of some fag using my name out there
that's just my surname
how
Honestly, more people should try their hand at writing shitty genre fiction.
It won't make you rich aor famous unless you're insanely lucky, but you can easily make some extra money just selling them online as ebooks if you shill a bit in the right places.
Plus it's more fun than playing vidya all day.
Damn, that's a nasty coincidence.
>just use a random unisex name like Robin or Ashley
done
I'm writing a cyberpunk novel right now. Teach me how to sell it.
>"enter name"
>panic for 10 seconds then quit the game
>use the same name since the first online game I played
>use it on a multitude of websites and videogame platforms
>one singular faggot used the same name on some shitty f2p moba
Every time I remember it I'm angry again
So you are saying you don't have universal nicknames for your characters? Like all guys being Tim and all chicks being Lilian?
>and Sup Forums as fuck
You deserve everything bad that happens to you in your life
[Shift+Tab]
Behindthename.com
I just flip a random word from my native language, twist it around a bit and it's ready.
Made my username with a a number on psn and just out of curiosity added the guy with no number. He had no trophies, never played online, it was bullshit.
>Use my same handle since 4th grade when i made a Neopets account
>Isn't embarrassing or cringy
Thanks Neopets for suggesting the best handle of all time, even if every other "Nicholas" in existence uses it.
I did that in Mass Effect every time even though it doesn't even show up anywhere really.
>Check online for Canon name
>"The Hero"
>So Herman, I quess
>Famu

Find cyberpunk communities. Yes, this most definitely includes relevant r/eddit boards. On those communities, talk about your novel. Don't shill too hard depending on what rules they have, but engage the community by, for example, explaining a bit about how your world works and asking questions like what kind of things they would expect to see in a story like this. Remember not to openly shill, but to encourage discussion. Also don't make the same posts on 4 different boards because the same people tend to visit these boards and it only takes one shitposter to find out to ruin your threads, especially on smaller communities. Remember that you don't actually need to use any of their input (unless it's really good), but just making them feel like they're part of the process will inevitable make them more positive towards you and your story.
Once you've got a downloadable version on Amazon or whatever (and seriously, anything can get published on Amazon), give out some free copies as "thanks" to people who've been especially helpful/positive and to people who can be identified as "community leaders," which mostly just means morons who post a lot. Everyone loves free shit, and often people will be extra friendly next time you write something because they'll also want free shit. Alternatively, give a decent discount (at least 40%) and pretend you're doing it as a favor/thank-you to the community.
Of course, the better your writing actually is the better it'll work, but tricks like these will get you sales even if you're shit. It's even more effective if you're writing for a small but obsessed niche or if you're catering to a specific fetish. Laying it on thick might help, but might also scare off normalfags, so I prefer keeping it a bit more subtle, like just creating a situation where said fetish might be applicable, but the actual fetish stuff either doesn't happen or just isn't described.
I could write more but space is limited. You get the idea though.
That's three syllables, broheim.
Post more Elizabeth you homos.
So wait, in essence just write smut?
I always use old English names like Eohric
...
I used to have problems with this, but then I started immediately entering the first nonsense that popped into my head when the screen came up
Most recent character created was Dobblenook
>20 hours have passed
>what if someone thinks my name is stupid
Smut is extremely easy to sell (just look at all the people writing hilariously awful gay romance and selling it for 1 to 5 bucks on Amazon), but you definitely don't need to write smut for these things to work.
It just helps to have a "hook", and fetish stuff (even if it's just hinted at) is one of the easiest hooks there are.
>game has green skin
SOMEBODY
I just use the name of the premade character from fallout 1 "Albert Cole", kinda boring but i never really think about it.
Also I was really mad it wasn't one of the voiced names for fallout 4, have they even played the original games?
>Accidentally forget to set character name
>Get to shady sands
>I'm None
>Keager
Well, it's not the worst.
>first and last name are required
but then that would just be my full name. they're already one syllable each.
>wilger
no
>naming every character after my grandpa
>tfw he died in early 2002 and we will never play vidya together
In multiplayer happens.
Dudely?
>Miyo
Finally I have an excuse to be a weeb
>Ryhor
it's not easy being Kirito
>syllable
DaA
>whats your name?
>its a japanese game so they never took into consideration that someone would need more than 7 characters to write their fucking birth name
guess the fucking game
JonTom
That doesn't work, you dumbass.
>Kewil
Guess I have to roll goblin
dongus
no joke Tako was the name of my favorite local japanese restaurant. pretty sure the name was also the reason it shut down.
>yo lets get sushi
>where we goin
>taco
>nigga
I always name my character either wells or welles (if a girl)
I just have a go-to character name. I'd actually like to come up with something different but I usually just can't be arsed
its a pretty common name for a japanese restaurant, it literally means squid or something similar.
>Gaben
wew thanks nobody ever used this name
Fun fact Tako means octopus in nip
My whole last name is one syllable.
Lmao dude you sound like one of those fucks who change their steam profiles name to a popular meme like doge of dat boi. Just come up with a simple username and use it for everything
You're dumb. Good fantasy names aren't random strings of vaguely fantasy sounding phonemes.
>have unique nick since the late 90s
>it has numbers in it
>almost no site or game allows numbers in your name or nick
all i want to do whenever i have to make yet another account for some stupid shit is name it gaydong13525 and just go but nope
>First name is 2 syllables
>Last name is 1 syllable
That wont work, faggot
>non-weebshit game
>sasuke
>kenshiro
>jin
>weebshit
