Seeing as we've just established that Smash Bros. isn't a fighting game, can we agree that Gundam Extreme Versus isn't a fighting game either?
There's no health bar, it's primarily team based, there's full 360 movement, no special motions (everything is just single and multiple button presses), and a roster of 100+ characters full of clones and recolors. I feel that it's only popular because of the brand.

Griepe got a beam cannon and mega launcher in MA mode. Also have the PX system to work around like the Trans-am in EXVS. You can bring the L.O. Booster and Aesculapius for support units, there's enough shit to make it be at least a 2500 unit.
So, basically its a worse G-unit clone of 00 Qanta Full Saber

Barbatos' melee is very slow and only superior to exia in its combo simplicity

GvsGN+ has too many similar beam rifle, then some sort of bazooka subweapon, then a special melee
Even Wing Zero and Wing Zero Custom just got their charge attack swapped, at least in GEVS lets them play very very differently
Battle Universe was the best easily. Assault was fun too.
Barbatos dish out more damage in melee than Exia, and specially, Barbatos has a decent combo extender I can deal up 420 damage just by fuwa step canceling melee, fighting burst extends the combo and can deal around 550 damage

They were okay but almost as clunky as FedVSZeon. I played GBU a ton but just can't stomach it any more. Shoddy fucking work.

I'll admit that Exia has good combo setups with the gn daggers and trumps Barbatos in speed
But Barbatos is a fucking tank, and his cannon has better tracking than the gn beam rifle, no need for fancy setups, just go guns blazings and smash them with the hammer when you get close
