Why do normies love lol?

Why do normies love lol?

I dunno, I have a hard time construing anyone capable of enjoying the mechanical systems in a moba as a 'normie'

Anything besides shooty guns, cars, and sports is outside normie territory to be relatively honest with you

Easy to get into.

Free, easy, and fun with friends.

>why do normies love lol
Because they are capable of expressting the emotion called love
>lol

Same reason why Sup Forums hates it: It's fun, social and incrementally challenging.

A lot of people playing lol don't even really like the game. They just want to play with their friend and the only game that they have in common is lol.

However People playing lol solo that are truly enjoying the game and supporting riot game design are pure cancer

Rts created moba and moba destroyed rts it's really a fucking tragedy

It's a fine game with different roles and champions to learn

It's competitive too so it can take up a lot of hours

>Easy
>pay2win
>if you lose it's your team fault

They're 2-digit IQ brainlets.

Fun, well supported, popular, easy to get into and hard to excel at.

>Easy
When will this meme end? Climbing to challenger is damn near impossible.

I have an IQ of 186~, you're just projecting.

>if you lose it's your team fault
>Not taking fault even if you're doing good
It's like you want your account locked

Because it's Dota for casuals

because you're supposed to like it. Thats all there is to it. its the Seinfeld of video games.

*your

don't even know what the fuck challenger is
the last time I played the highest was platinum and it was easy to get there
also "easy" doesn't mean climbing the ladders.
The games mechanics are easy, there is nothing hard.

You only really improve when you look at your own individual case and see what you could of done better, sometimes you do really well but you make a few fucks ups that do affect the game.

It's a fruitless endeavour to not take fault with your gameplay, even if your score is positive there's always something you could've done better. The point isn't simply to blame your self in place of your team, it's to honestly reflect and improve on your own personal game.

No one else matters, it's useless to blame them and it's useless to ONLY blame yourself.

There's nothing virtuous about bashing your head against pointlessly complex mechanics when the difficulty should be from the opponent, not the game design, as you point out.

this

Dota still have turn rate? What a dumb mechanic.

They don't anymore. This year's big championship had 1/10th the views as last year. The Legendary Shitpile has finally stopped steaming

>incrementally challenging
[citation needed]

I don't know anyone who still plays lol. It seemed like everyone played it 3 years ago. Well there is one guy who still plays it, but he doesn't play anything else and nobody wants to talk to him because it's the only thing he talks about.

That's a bad example, since that's an intrinsic part of human-human interactions in doto

Better examples would be that you can't see enemy mana without selecting them and losing control of your character. Optimal play means keeping track of enemy mana, but doing so is just a fight with the interface, not the enemy.

Dragging jungle monsters into lane creep agro range is another one. It's an interaction that has nothing to do with the enemy and barely anything to do with your team - it's just fucking about with details of the format. Everyone has to do it because it's optimal play, but it isn't actually good design.

Turn rate is introduced to allow melee to deal with ranged kiting, it's a flawed work around that makes gameplay boring and clunky. I'd say it's a pretty pointlessly complex mechanic.

>free
Heheh!
>easy
h-heheh..
>fun with friends
kek

it can actually be fun with a 5 party going troll picks

>also "easy" doesn't mean climbing the ladders.
Chess is pretty easy too if you don't mind playing against 12 years old kids your whole life.

Like you say, it's not pointless, it has a good reason to be there. I don't like it much either, but then League's solution is to give all the melees mobility tools. That's just down to personal preference.

It's not just pointless added difficulty for the sake of pointless added difficulty, which is something Dota players cling onto to claim that all the pointless added difficulty makes their game a better one.

...

How is it flawed?

>its clunky

I disagree. Just because your fee-fees feel like its clunky doesn't shit.

90% of dota players will have gotten used to it and barely notice it and just accept it.

can you fuck off to vg already riot

why do you play LoL if you don't want to play against 12 years old kids your whole life then

Jokes on you, I don't play LoL.

What I mean is that since the mechanics are easy and the strategies are the same all the time because "muh meta" everyone can be "good" so the ladders doesn't mean shit
It's like ovewatch were the average is plat/diamond because there is no a single hard mechanics in the game
It doesn't mean they are bad games, but they are bad competitive games.

This, the only true route to goodness is to let go of winning and losing, and only consider what you personally could be doing better. Complacency or frustration are the result of caring about wins or losses.

>people actually think LoL is pay2win

>buy the characters in the meta with ingame money
>can't buy the 50 set of runes you need
>don't have enough runes pages to play properly in ranked if they ban/pick the characters you were supposed to play

>buy the meta characters with dollars
>buy runes pages with dollars
>can buy the 50 set of runes
>can change pick for anything since you have 50 different rune pages

seems pretty pay2win for me

The waifus I play in it are cute

>don't have enough rune pages
Rune pages are also available with in-game money.
>Buy characters, rune pages, runes with dollars
Who the fuck would do this? You can simply buy champs with in-game money. And you get that money from playing games. And playing games makes you better at the game.

Besides, you can start ranked when you're level 30. By that time, you'll have plenty of champions, runes and rune pages. Hell, even skins can be obtained for free through the loot system now.

Soraka is kinda shit as a waifu.

What about the rest of my waifus

I know I need to play more. I just did my very first placements ever in ranked a month ago

A decent selection but you are missing the best waifu.

She always get's picked before me or banned in regular games, I get her pretty often in aram though

I only have 3 pages of runes and a lot of champions not in the meta and still can place in diamond

>it's EVENTUALLY not pay2win

lol, that's pay2win bro

for the same reason they like overwatch

its for kids, has colorful graphics, and makes you think are good at games

>No Jinx
Disgusting

>"Ugh, I HAVE to play the game?"
It's not pay2win because once you play ranked, which is where things get competitive, you have enough resources and experience to play on even terms. Saying that level 1 optional (and really not recommended) microtransactions is pay2win is like saying a fighting game is unfair because you haven't unlocked a certain character yet.

I love Kindred, they're literally me. Split personality and really dangerous XD
