Sun. It's pretty good so far.
>which version did you buy
Sun. Loving it so far.
>Sun
And as I do like the game I just wish there was less exposition and more playing of the game...
MOON
Really liking it
Bought 2 copies of Moon and 1 Sun.
1 copy of moon for the wife, the other for me to play alone, and sun to play along side the wife.
>buy
Hahahaha
Sun. I beat the Elite Four and captured all the Ultra Beasts and Tapus last night. I never used my Master Ball so I guess I'll use it on Necrozma. Then I'll just have the Battle Tree and collecting Zygarde.
Fantastic game overall although I do kinda miss horde battles for EV training. On another note it was nice to get so many top tier lolis this gen.
i got sun and i beat it and im bored of it already. i enjoyed the first playthrough but the postgame is pretty boring imo.
how do I get this TM this is killing me
Sun, and Im rather enjoying it honestly.
Go around to the side of the building and you'll get an A button prompt next to one of the spaces on the ground.
theres a whole on the other side of the building you can crawl in.
Slogging through a WT run, I can't see this being a popular title those who like to nuzlocke will return too. It's slow, the balance of wild Pokemon are shit for being 'random', and Pokemon battles where they call for help can go on forever.
Shame that it is another title you cannot 'no catch' on, despite not having the need for HMs anymore.
Moon.
I have mixed feelings about it. it's a 6/10 so far. Score will likely go higher by the time I finish it.
Mayor complaints are:
The difficulty which , while not as piss easy as black and white, is still too easy. Hoping it ramps up and at the very least gives me trainers with more than 2 pokemons but I doubt it.
The story is not interesting at all and the trials make 0 sense. How is picking up ingredients for cooking or spoting the difference between 3 pictures a trial?
Feels like they made the trials mechanics for pre-pre schoolers. I don't remember being overwhelmed with red and blue when I was a kid so I don't really understand why they felt the need to dumb things down so much.
The cutscenes. My god the cutscenes, i though /v was just blowing things out of proportion when they said there were too many cutscenes in the game but turns out they were underplaying the whole thing. You get a cutscene every few steps. It's way too fucking many, it get's worse since you can see on the map where every cutscene is going to take place and there are a lot of moments when you get a scene, walk 3 seconds forward into another scene and still you can see on the map that not even a building away there is another scene waiting for you. It's borderling excessive and I've never felt more eager to get to the post game so I can do away with them all.
Don't get me started on the cringefest that is team skull and the kid who is probably the biggest ow-the-edge character I've ever seen in any video game.
All of that being said the gameplay is one of the most enjoyable ones yet. The variety of mons early on is much bigger than in previous games I feel so there is plenty of pokemon to choose from the start, doing away with HM's was a great choice and I love the call for help mechanic on pokes. Graphics/sounds are nice and the game runs great with the exception of the photograph mode.
Whodat?
I don't into pokeymanz, but damn this a qt
Lana
ty senpai
sorry to shitpost typing like a niggerino. but seriously thanks.
>Don't get me started on the cringefest that is team skull
They're an acquired taste but I love 'em. A lot better than some of the previous teams, has a lot of heart.
Moon here and so far
>cutscenes cutscenes cutscenes
>call for help mechanics are really grating, like you want to catch a guy and he calls for help every turn, including the same turn you clear out the damn ally
>trials are cute but kind of stupid. I actually miss gyms
>totem pokemon are good and cool though, gym + boss mons would be fun
>difficulty is still too low, they clearly tried to swing in surprises with most of the Totems but most fights are still GENERIC TRAINER SENT OUT GENERIC LOW STAT PIECE OF SHIT. Isle 3 and I'm still fighting people with 1 pokemon to their name. YA BOY and his perky sidekick open with 2.
>it really shows that the game was a bit unfinished. construction sites everywhere. the limited dex. the limited pool of mons all the trainers use. the "come back for the side sequel" shit like WELCOME TO THE FUTURE SITE OF FOSSIL DREAM WORLD MAYBE
>every route feels really small but maybe that's my perception being warped by the 3D spaces
>the useless riders. hey, this horse walks across this ground. that's it. that's all he does.
>the made for pre schooler difficulty stuff. being auto healed every 5 steps. Red/Blue was a lot more engaging when crossing something like Mt Moon meant actually having supplies and a plan and a back up guy or two to go with your starter
>dat frame lag in doubles/battle royals lol
I'd say a 7-8/10 so far. It's really a shame that the feeling of a nearly finished beta keeps poking through.
Sun. Beat it.
Probably the last new pokemon game I will ever buy.play. The handholding has reached astronomical proportions and I just can't be assed to bother with it anymore. There is also almost no endgame. There is the battletree if that is your thing and then the ultrabeasts quest. The UB quest is just flying to a patch of grass and then flying back to Looker 4 times.
Isle 4 is where they finally start raising the trainer's pokemon levels. However it is still just 1-2 pokemon each. The elite 4 and the main bad at least give some challenge as they have 5 pokemon and respectable levels.
>still just 1-2 pokemon each
>elite 4 and bad guys STILL don't have a full team
hated this shit since BW and XY
I got the dual pack, I've beaten Sun already and caught all of the Legendaries and Ultra Beats. Need to do Moon now.
>bit unfinished
I felt this too. The geothermal plant was one that had me wondering if it was meant to be more explorable.
>every route feels really small
They are. Once you have cleared out the trainers your first pass through take a run down the route again. You will go from one end to the other in a blink of the eye.
In end game you can go to the game freak headquarters and challenge Morimoto once a day. Him and Red/Blue are the only ones with full teams. There wasn't even the joke fisher with 6 magikarps.
That's a shame. I don't expect the AI to really wow me or god forbid some fucking smogon set ups, but I could go for a good 3-5 guys from generic trainers and a full 6 from anyone the games tells me is important. I've kept the 5 guys I use even so far but never used more than 2 per trainer.
I also remembered the other beta sign that really bugs me. I hate how almost every building in the game has like, 1-2 real doors and then 2-4 painted on. FUck, that was REALLY ridiculous in the observatory. IT'S A REAL BUILDING THAT WE TOTALLY DESIGNED ALL OF, HONEST. It makes me want to replay gens 1-4, they felt so much bigger, every route felt three times as long(for better or worse!)
I """""""bought""""""" Moon last week. So far I'm really liking it, partly because of how cute Chicken-chan and the yuri vibes I'm getting with Lillie.
Sun.
Haven't had this much fun playing pokemon since Platinum.
Up until the main bad I never needed anything besides my Incenroar. His dark special attack, flame blitz, leech life, and vital chop attacks could handle every totem, rival, skull, and trainer battle.
There are a few trainers that have actual tactics but you will kill them before they can even get off the ground. A lot of them have pokemon with sturdy, spikes, and even a couple of mons with sneaky pebbles.
Inceniroar here too, and yeah, there's very few surprises on even a "that Kahuna has a real strong guy with good types and coverage!" level and the only swaps have been due to attrition or face tanking excessive water attacks. I appreciate the idea behind Totems a lot but they'd probably work better as 1-2 between each formal gym and every trainer having more robust teams. I like using all my guys a little bit!
I had slowbro in the wings the entire game. He only helped out as a slowpoke during the water trial and then slept until the main bad and elite 4 battles.
I got Sun and I liked it up until Po Town and the Aether Invasion right after
that shit was like 3 hours non-stop of trainer battles
I got sun. Is it fine to use the Festival Plaza's rare kitchen to Level up pokemon?
I don't know how you boost effort values or base stats in this game
I can't screw up stats can I? I'm just doing a casual playthough of Sun and Moon, which I hear is harder then previous games.
The QR code scanning can be used on any QR code right? I couldn't remember if one wrong scan could get my system banned
moon
im on vacation right now so i havent had the time to finish it yet, but im about halfway through and i absolutely love it
