It's a maze level

>It's a maze level

>It's a moon level

When is the last time JRPGs actually had complex maze-like dungeons? They're all so fucking linear these days.

2016, We have had like nine so far.

>It's an abstract level

What's that, Dungeon Travelers 2? Maybe i will have to play it more, the earlier dungeons designs were so poor they almost seemed randomly generated.

>it's a level

>It's a cult of the Chuckster level

Is it possible to revisit Fossil Roo? I know that the first time you find it because Quina chased a frog over there, but is there a way to get there after the story carries you through it?

>awaken the seven sages before you can proceed

>It's the "entire game is one existential crisis after another" level

>The maze area is altered in each playthrough

>it's a maze level with no map

mazes are fucking gay

Mazes are awesome.

Go get lost in one, you would fit right in.

>it's a teleporter maze level

the entirety of the .hack ps2 games

>it's an escalator level
>all of them are going down
>the exit is at the top of the mall

>its not a level
>its just a memory puzzle to open a boss door

>It's a maze level
>every room looks pretty much exactly the same

>there will never be a minotuar horror game where you're thrown into a giant maze and have to make it out alive while being chased

They gave you a map, I could do that shit when I was 7.

what game do I know this from

Eradinus was the best part of that game, fuck off

>it's a just fuck my controls up level

I'm considering getting into Etrian Odyssey. Which is the best?

I would say three, but it has not had a 3ds port yet.

Start with Untold One. IV is a bit casualized and whacked.

Do NOT do the story mode, Ricky is bait

>entire game is a maze level with no map

shadow tower

>It's a sliding ice puzzle and you're an impatient 10 year old.

>it's a reversed controls level
>not just movement
>shooting/reloading reversed
>crouching/jumping reversed
>interacting/switching weapons reversed

I'd rather have a story with my dungeon crawl even if it's just to frame why I'm fucking around I'm dungeons, are there any with good stories?

The EO games do have a story its just a little bare bones. The Untold storys are garbage and they lock you down to premade characters. At least give the regular mode a try if you buy the game.

Cool, I'll check out the Untold One, thanks.

You wont regret it.

Dont get spoiled

>its a 3x3 sliding picture puzzle
>in a rpg
>if you give up and go back for any reason you get hit with an impossible boss fight
>even should you win via cheats you get booted back to the puzzle
God damn it Beyond the Beyond. It doesn't help any that Samson gets cursed and becomes the weakest character in the game, taking damage and losing turns, and to un-curse him you have to go to Crystal Dragon Jesus to get it removed, and by then you are near the end of the game.
To put this in perspective, you get Samson about 2-3 hours in, have him for maybe five minutes before he gets cursed.

>MMBN
>Ice Man's area

>it's a weapons are stronger the lower level they are level
>it's a no magic level

Runescape gives 5 by 5 sliding puzzles. Im a beast at them now.

>>in a rpg

DO YOU NOT FUCKING PRONOUNCE IT AR PEE GEE?

YOU FUCKING ILLITERATE SHITFUCKINGSCUM

Dark Souls

>best map I can find
>doors aren't connected

>time limits

fuck this shit

>its a sliding block puzzle
>in an action/adventure game
Talk about killing the flow of a game. You just spend 2 hours running from zombies, killing giant spiders and even escaping a shark attack. Now let's totally stop the action and do a little puzzle!

That user is probably American.
