I like both

This thread won't really settle it once and for all.

Keyboard is only good for shit like MMOs, RTS, and simulators.

Controller for anything that requires manual movement.

I hope you guys realize that 1st James is an Apple user and 2nd He has never played games on PC, not even using a controller unless hes making a video about it.

KB+M for anything requiring precision (shooters, RTS)
Controller for anything requiring analog directional input (racing)
To a lesser extent, fighting games expect you to have a joystick, but often use digital directional input.

There, 90% of the thread will come to this conclusion.

After joining the PC master race I must say... never play shooting games with a controller. It's like.... the controller user is base form Goku from the Raditz saga and the PC user is SSJR Goku Black.

Controllerfag is a selfless hero willing to sacrifice for the greater good, while the PC user is a crazed selfish maniac spurred on by inter-dimensional butthurt?

>this is work

This is pretty incredible bait.

I have a arcade stick, a hotas combo, a keyboard, a mouse, a trackball and 2 different controllers.
They all have their use, so what's your thread about again... autism?

You take this out of context. James' knowledge and preference in video games is of an era where most games were on a console because the price of what is considered a potato on a stick made of copper today was ridiculous and getting a dedicated game console was actually the more viable purchase. So to him a controller is simply a part of playing video games while PCs are tools for him to edit with. This is no longer true today.

And this is my STAND

4?

>Terry Crews uses KB&M
MUH NIGGA!

Also a free protip: there is a reason most console shooters don't allow KB&M. Its significantly more accurate and offers faster response.

Consoles have actually slowed down shooters to a crawl, bring back UT not just people using its engine

I play darksouls with controller AND use my mouse for aiming. COME THE FUCK AT ME.

I've been on PC for the last four years of gaming and about six months ago I had an office job where I had to type word docs/spreadsheets for hours sitting at a desk. When you finish sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours each day and come home to relax getting back into a desk is the last thing you want to do. It just tires you out when you start to associate the desk/computer with work.

I still think Mouse/Keyboard is the best controller set up and since I left the position I've been back to my regular PC hours but I really understand where people are coming from with the "Computer" is for work argument. It's hard to change gears from work to fun

>you will never play Battlefield with Terry Crews

>ywn play DnD with Vin

there's no context for stupidity

i use a PC all day for work and still game on it

>bring back UT
there s a new UT thats free

>ywn play Need For Speed with Paul Walker

>there is no context
>even though you explained the exact context and why he believes what he does
I think you mean there's no excuse for stupidity but you'll probably come up with one anyways.

Awaken my masters

who?

...

I wish there were an easier way to do this. I've done this in a few games that seem to prefer the controller overall but require precise aiming.

Analog movement with a keyboard would be acceptable too.
