Bretons are the best stealth archers and mages and pretty much every build because they have the best passive in most of the games.

Lore states that Altmer are the best magicians.

Dunmer/Chimer get a pass because the origin of their race was them not wanting anything to do with high elf faggotry and they got the fuck off that faggy star-shaped island and settled as far away from there as possible.
They don't even have any fundamental/spiritual beef with humanity, in fact when they had THREE LIVING GODS on their side they went "'s cool Tiber, have this undefeatable golem to help you in your conquests. Just promise to kick some Altmer ass with it, we'll even peacefully join your empire."

Best at getting their shit smacked in every time they try to take over the world, maybe.

I just picked up the Elder Scrolls Online for extremely cheap. I finished it before once on PC but there's a whole heaps of DLC now and there was nothing more hype than boxing Molag Baal over Coldharbour. Likie its not often you get to actually FIGHT a Daedra that isn't Hircine.
