Tfw can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing a game

>tfw can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing a game

W-what is happening? I just want to be able to enjoy some video games.

It's the same for me, but substitute playing games with living life.

It's called "growing up" your just a late bloomer.

Is there a cure user? Will we enjoy things again?

Well if the last 20 years of my life are anything to go by you shouldn't expect one soon.

Do you have any friends to play vidya with? My closest friend grew out of it, but every now and then I force I him and its very enjoyable. Not near as fun as we use to have only 2 years ago, but this better than test counter poke spacing in sf4

Growing up means I will enjoy vidya less? Why user?

my just a what?

Jokes on you i'm enjoying video games again(but don't really know how and why)

;_;

I don't. I generally don't enjoy multiplayer games as much anymore.

If you can't name those three anime without cheating, you're what's wrong with today's video games.

Two are from the same show user.

People who stop enjoying vidya never really enjoyed them in the first place and were probably filling the void with garbage. These tired gamer memelords always have the shittiest taste. Just find a different hobby.

Looks like you're what's wrong with today's video games, user.

>Just don't care about playing games for a few weeks and don't force yourself to play them
>Pick something up that really looks good to you after that pause
>Have fun gaming again
>Profit

>tfw can't find any genre to enjoy

You have to take a break first, user.
Forcefully overexpusuring yourself with shitty games will make even the enjoyable look bland.

I cant speak for everyone, but here is what I observed: I had this feel and so did many others during uni and some ppl during high school / during unemployment. Basically when you have a lot of free time vidya becomes much less rewarding and burns you out really fast. After you land a job, start a family etc. you will also notice that you value and enjoy your free time activities much more.

The second thing: many people use vidya to escape their problems. You can argue all you want but it is prevalent. When you escape to vidya your subconscious will still remind you that you should be doing something else like learning, looking for a job, working on a project. This will fill you with guilt, anxiety. After a while vidya wont work anymore, because you wont get any satisfaction from it due to being absolutely depressed by the time.

This might not apply to you though, its just what I saw.

Except I have. For the last year or two I haven't really played anything and I can't seem to get back into it.

fuck off faggot this shit USED TO BE fun when GAMES INDUSTRY wasnt RUN BY LITERAL RETARDS

so its bad now coz of shitty casuals like you who think flipping the bird to real gamers and having games as fashion statement is being a real gamer. Just jump under a train nobody wants you to post here.

>shit USED TO BE fun when GAMES INDUSTRY wasnt RUN BY LITERAL RETARDS

Was fun when the market was a niche made by enthusiasts for enthusiast. The transition into a bona fide industry is what killed it.

>turn on dark souls for the first time
>new character
>get thirty minutes into it
>super sick feeling washes me
>thinking over and over
>everything is dying around you
>get through it
>can't kill gargoyles

it's so nice and calm when you find solaire

Find another hobby or two. Sort out the things that (subconsciously) make you anxious in your life. It's not the games that are at fault, it's your brain guilt tripping you

When I finally reached Solaire it was so reassuring. I finally thought I had a moment to breathe then I tried crossing the bridge lmao

Explore old games you missed out on

Played like 15 old games over the past months, tremendously enjoyed most of them

If you have been playing video games enough, you should already know what your tastes are. From this you should be able to find games that hit this sweet spot every time, stop buying everything "just because". Sometimes I don't buy anything for months but when I do, the experience is great.

Also, try going back a gen or two (if you missed them), there should always be something decent to play.

You have depression
Try getting laid

oh yeah and dying to that a handful of times

i forgot

Same. I just can't get motivated enough to even play a fucking video game.
I've been playing casual shit like Heartstone a lot not because I enjoy it but because it kills time without me having to pay much attention.

I didn't ask for this.
