Why do German tanks are the best in any WWII games?

Why do German tanks are the best in any WWII games?

The same reason German cars are superior.

German engineering.

...

Even after WWII German tanks are still the best selling

...

>Why do German tanks are the best in any WWII games?
naziboos

>No Stug in the pic

You know, I get it. Stug isn't the PERFECT tank (yeah, I know its an assault gun fuck you) but he knows that and doesn't try to compete with his bigger and faster bros. He just does what he can and knocks out his foes from the distance.

Stug is love
Stug is life

If only their tanks were ACTUALLY good though.

...

>German tanks are the best
>WoT exists

Have fun being set on fire every other shot, getting penetrated by APCR/HEAT every time, and so on.

Obviously, World of Tanks and War Thunder devs both favor allied forces

More like they favor the Russians only. WoT absolutely shits on the Americans and Brits except for a few instances. Meanwhile Russian tanks are absolutely solid regardless of tier. Meanwhile German tanks are:

>slow
>set on fire easily
>lower plate issues abound
>accuracy means jack shit after the accuracy changes
>penetration means jack shit thanks to APCR/HEAT
>DPM is poor compared to Russians
>hulldown is generally impossible and irrelevant when you can thanks to flat turret faces and HEAT/APCR

The other dilemma was that WoT's tiers put the German tanks up against much newer tanks, which is hardly fair. Having the Tiger square off against tanks from the 1960s is just plain silly.

>favor allied forces

You mean Russian forces

because of the kill ratio. Ironically, the allies had better tanks but shittier tank crews, leadership and coordination while the germans' tanks like the panther broke down because of a lack of resources and loloil

Ivan please

StuG is on the other team.

I'm here to fuck you up

Because they had the best ones Retard. Take a history lesson once in a while

Not so fast.

Tiger II > Panther II (paper) > Panther V Late Models >= Tiger 1 > Panther V Early (fucking zimmerit) > Pzkpw IV > Pzkpw III

Cute tier: Pzkpw II / Pzkpw II Luchs

>wehraboos still haven't killed themselves

Most games aren't tank sims and just give advantages to whichever tank has the most armor or biggest gun. Shit like sloped armor, awful crew vision, or increasingly rare spare parts don't enter the equation

Now if you're playing 'WW2 logistics simulator: No fun edition' German tanks will almost certainly show their shitty side while American industrial power gets to shine

Let's fucking do this!

Rain
Open top tank
Fucking great engineering

big myth about technological superiority and elite teutonic warrior crews fueled by fanatical fascism spread by the americans and the british to make their big enemy look super badass and boy its a good thing the underdogs saved the world with their righteous spirit

also they're big and scary looking. no one cares about the shermans crew space, effifcieny and reliability! its fucking boring fuck you! big cats forever

Tiger I > Pzkpfw IV = Tiger II > Panther = Pzkpwf III > Pzkpfw II > Pzkpfw I

>whichever tank has the most armor or biggest gun. Shit like sloped armor, awful crew vision,

That's exactly Russian tanks are. They only care about slope armor and biggest gun.

Because.

SHE DRINKS FUEL LIKE IT'S BEER

Is this based on how much you like it? Because there's no way the Tiger I was a better tank than the Tiger II or the late Panthers.

Also here's a Panzer II

Because you typically don't deal with their drawbacks in these games - like unreliability, being hard to manufacture and repair.

More accuratley, the Allies had SMALLER tank crews. It took longer for Allied tanks to find, target, fire, retarget, and fire again because all of that was being done by one guy. German tanks had a bigger and heavier top section with thinner armor, which is very bad for obvious reasons, but that allowed them to have different people finding targets, firing, and reloading.

cute tonk :)

Shermen could be seen miles away because of its reatrded design. You could've said Comet at least.

thanks, I went to the Canadian War Museum for Remembrance Day and took a bunch of tonk photos, do you want me to dump a few?

i dont know about you german diaspora fags but in games I play I always end of flanking and using those times long reload times to kill them with ease.

>Is this based on how much you like it?
yes

Tank threads best threads

Can we get some LAVs in here? Kfz 251 Stuka a cute!

Ferdinand Porsche

Too bad the Leopard 2 line is shit kek

Then you have pretty good taste. I like the Tiger, it's just the Panther II has that sweet turret and the Tiger II has that sloped armor.

I'll take that as a yes

The panther 2 shouldn't be able to hold its gun up. Fucking Gaijin and their tier 4 german bias.

Because they were the best tank-for-tank in WW2. The T-34 also ranks high for managing to combine good firepower and armour thickness with great mobility and speed, while also incorporating them very successfully with infantry doctrine.
/thread

Hey, at least it looks cool.

Stug isn't a tank imbecile, it's a self-propelled assault gun/artillerty piece

Zimmerit was a waste of time and money, but it looks rad as fuck

do you know how autistic you sound

It looks like cow shit.

it probably is

Fucking Wehraboos.

Where the hell did I put that Einsatzgruppen pic...

Vatniks or actual Russians?

Cool rivets.

Tanks look real cool and all but I definitely wouldn't want to be in one

Literally a steel coffin with wheels, so many godawful ways to die in it

Late tigers and panzers were plagued by lack of resource, they did not even have rubber to isolate wires and they spent more time breaking down than actually contributing to the war effort. Tiger 2 was king, but the Panzer IV definitely had the biggest impact on the war as a whole if you ignore the fall of france.

its open top because of the smoke generated by the guns.

2 more

they weren't that cool when you get sprayed with red-hot metal fragments every time your tank gets hit

Because video game devs don't care about accuracy

Which fucking museum is this

>tank a will kill tank b so it's better

>not seeing the value of simpler maintenance
>not seeing the value of more sophisticated and cheaper production
>falling for the heavy tank meme laughing_tank_destroyers.jpg

>Panther tank
>good

I'd rather go to war in a mark 1

Because a game wouldn't be fun if you were fighting tanks broken down on the side of the road

German tanks sucked
They are just a huge meme

Their MBTs are great since the Leopard tho

Don't remind me.

Panzer IV is remarkably underrated, especially the long 75 ones.

Canadian War Museum

It wasn't, at least not on the Eastern front.

m3's are such cool tanks to me, it looks like a miniature castle with tracks, and the idea for it (big forward gun with smaller turret cannon) is a cool idea even if it didnt work well.

Ouch.

Remind of what?

It's "retarded design" made it a few inches larger for a much more spacious interior which increased crew survival rating significantly if the tank was penetrated, as well as making it more comfortable for prolonged tanking, which is why the brits and russians favored it over their own tanks.

why are so many people obsessed with ww2 german tanks? I don't see people going on endlessly about cromwells for example. help me out here wehraboos, what's the deal

Majestic.

Because the other factions' tanks are boring.

cont.

...

>smoke getting into the engine causes a fire
how does that work

People are obsessed with everything nazi, probably because they are super talked up in media

When you take a closer look it all sort of falls apart though

1 more

how come?

yeah this shit gets me. there's hundreds of books and documentaries everyone has seen for every party member, but they don't know anything about for example any russian generals

All nazi tanks had leaky ass fuel lines, when combined with the panther's water tight hull there was basically a bunch of fuel and fumes constantly sloshing around so the slightest spark would ignite it.

And here's a BRM-1K, which is a reconnaissance version of the BMP

lots of anons have soft spots for tank girls that try their hardest but keep breaking down.
Its rather endearing.
Also, on the subject of cromwells, those things are aesthetically pleasing af

Because its a game. If someone made a real WW2 simulator then the germans would be at such a disadvantage.
>Tiger II would break down or run out of fuel after driving 10 feet. It would need a parade of repair vehicles and fuel trucks to get to the combat zone
>The Tiger H1 would be eternally out of replacement parts
>The Ferdinand would be really good for cooking smores with
>The Tiger II needs to rev its engine to turn the turret
>Jagdtiger is slow, prone to breaking down, and had a slow reload time
>Flatpanzer would do pretty good though
>Panther had drivetrain issues I think
>Jagdpanther is a casemate tank with bad side armor, and it had the same issues as the panther
>Panzer III is outdated a a fuckton
>The Maus. Nope, I can just leave it at that.

>Meanwhile the Sherman and T-34's with very few problems can just march through Europe.

In spite of all these problems, you would still have people flocking to play Germany. Usually Neo-nazis or people that think their Rommel.

Any games with satisfying ammo explosions?
Except for Men of War, I already know about that one.

Kill yourself Wehraboos.

Your tanks were shit and Hitler was a retard.

men of war: assault squads

That's all folks! Here's a bonus, a Do335 from the Udvarházy Centre in DC

T-34s actually had a fuckton of issues, and to Germany's credit the PZ4 was a reliable, good tank.

I agree with the rest though.

pls don't bully the tanks they can't help it and they're trying their hardest

Pershing vs King tiger

Who'd win?

hate to be Sup Forums, but

>mfw donald sutherland

whoever shot first

I liked the ones in CoH2

If you ever go to russia they have graveyards/museums with hundreds of planes and tanks in pretty much every decently sized city.

Because they were singlehandedly created the armoured doctrine that is still in use today, and as the underdog crushed their french equal in three monhts and were dangerously close to breaking the back of the CCCP.
Not to mention that they did all of this coming straight out of a severe economical depression, and that their tanks 1-for-1 were by far the best during ww2 until the late years when lack of resources translated into poor construction quality.
The germans were also the first to use AA cannons against ground forces, and later mounting those cannons to create heavy tanks.

In what scenario?

Depends on who gets the first hit

swimsuit contest

No, What you gonna do about it?

pershing easily

who had the bigger ammo racks

Kelly's heroes is sacred, Sup Forums's opinions are irrelevant

Pershing can't penetrate Tiger II frontally though.
