So, In the first Zelda here is how it got, there is two shard of Triforce:
-The one of Wisdom owned by Zelda
-The one of Power owned by Ganon.
When you play the game for the first time, you collect the shard of Wisdom that Zelda had broken in several bits so that Ganon couldn't get it.
The second play allow you to get the shard of Power.
So, at the end of Zelda 1(once you have beaten hard mode), you get the Triforce, who is made of two shard: the one of Wisdom and the one of Power;
However...
When Zelda 2 came out, it turned out THE TRIFORCE WAS ACTUALLY MADE OF THREE SHARDSG, NOT TWO! It was the shards of courage AND IT TURNED OUT THAT THIS SHARD BELONGED TO YOU, THE PLAYER.
So, it took Zelda 2 to come out for us to be revealed that the Triforce was actually made of 3 shards all along.
Mind fucking Blown!
But the most interrsting bit was how, when it was released, Shigeru claimed Zelda 3 was actually a prequel to the other two Zelda.
And yet, when you end it, it revealed that the Master Sword is put back in place FOREVER!
Meaning... that THE SWORD USED TO DEFEAT GANON IN ZELDA 1 ISN'T THE MASTER SWORD. But some other kind of sword, I guess? How fucking cool is that?
