As for the car itself, we saw in the Demo that the game has car driving mechanics, that allow you to actually tun and go all over the place. I don't doubt that you'll be restricted to the road for the most part, but the mechanics are obviously there. It seems they just decided in the end that the chocobos should be the off road vehicle. Not really a terrible idea, given people that like the series tend to like chocobos.

It's well known, certainly, but not as popular as you make out. I'm sorry, but plenty of games have well outside Final Fantasy. It's never been the top of the pack, and really it shouldn't be. It's an RPG, never the most popular of systems unless they're action RPGs, in which case you get Skyrim style success stories, but Skyrim, I'm sure you can admit, is barely an RPG of any kind.

I'm playing the game RIGHT NOW, and I can say that it's pretty good, shit writing and performance issues aside. The combat may seem shallow, but each weapon type has a deep combo system tied to the left analog. It has some great exploration and a shit load of challenging hunts with decent rewards. The spell crafting is great.

Probably not worth the money for someone who'll just rush the shit story.

FFXV is not the end all be all game for me, nor should it be for anyone . . . but the worst thing I've seen from the game are a visual glitches in a game that ranges from "meh" to "mediocre" to "average". Never terrible, unless it's someone ranting about "their hair" or "their clothes" or "RPG combat lolz" or other such things that most final fantasy fans will just shrug at, having either accepted them, despite it all, or maybe they even actually like those things.

Oh no. You had to push the car, then make money to get it fixed. Like a quest. In any RPG. Including other FFs. It's almost like questing is a typical form of gmaeplay in RPGs, liked by the audience of such games.
