Fantasy rpgs with a bleak, depressing atmosphere like Diablo, Dark Souls, Darkest Dungeon and Dragon's Dogma.
Depressing rpgs
Path of Exile
So, dark fantasy?
grim dawn, bruh
That's a lot of D's
Pretty decent game. Didn't really have enough going for it to keep me interested though. Plus I'm not that big a fan of multiplayer unless it's with friends.
kek
I saw Tyranny on steam. Does anyone know if it's any good?
anyone played divine divinity? thoughts on it?
Game is good, a bit easy, choose hard difficulty. Ending sucks, sequel/DLC baiting.
OP here. It's good but get Beyond Divinity instead. Improved a lot on the original. The only problem with BD instead of DD is that a big chunk of the main quest you're stuck in an enormous confusing maze like place.
Underrail
it's not really depressing
you belong to the most organized and prosperous station in the South
environments are mostly atmospheric and mysterious than simply depressing
writing has more hilarious moments than bleak or depressing ones
Kinda looks like the old fallout games.
Its shit
DD is much better than BD
Planescape: Torment
Morrowind
Path of exile and Grim dawn.
Grim dawn has a much better story and is more decision focused for factions and faction quests.
Poe is barely a story slapped together but it's mostly meant for the real end game grind.
Still, the setting is fantastic.
DD's outdoor areas looked pretty shit. BD had some cool dungeons and had a diablo 1 style aesthetic to it.
reminder that malachai did NOTHING WRONG
Fallout 1
>dragons dogma
>depressing atmosphere
what
Well, after you "beat" the game it certainly becomes dreary as fuck.
Did you not beat the game? Do it before you get spoiled.
Dothic and Dlanescape Dorment come to mind. De Delder Drolls Dorrowins too.
