God DAMN, my man. What did you not like about the first? The combat is much more basic than Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden, of course. I love the set pieces, the bosses, and am just a sucker for anything related to Greek mythology. The first game is the "worst" of the main trilogy (even though I think it's a great game). The second game amps up the action, and 3 just blows it away. It's one of those games that just DOES NOT FUCKING STOP getting more awesome, right up until the end. Some of my favorite bosses of all time, in any game.

If you wanted a bit more action, then continue the series. You won't be disappointed. On the other hand, if the combat system didn't appeal to you and is what put you off the series, it doesn't change in the sequels, so you won't enjoy it. I consider God of War 3 a 10/10.

My biggest gripes with the first game were the annoying archers and occasional "It's a super tightly timed puzzle with hazards" episode.

I liked the combat plenty, but I didn't love the game enough to just want to start the next one right away.

I'll admit I laughed at the colour choices for Mass Effect and Diablo. Fuck you for how much the last one hurt, though.

Jak II loses a point for its performance issues and being stupidly difficult at times. Not to say that difficulty is inherently a bad thing, but there's a threshold for when it stops being a fun challenge and starts becoming annoying

Sly 2 is pretty much an all-around improvement over the first game in the series, as it adds much more emphasis on stealth mechanics instead of being purely a platformer, has a lot more variation in gameplay, great sound design, and noticeably better voice acting. Probably one of my all-time favorite PS2 games.

Sly 3 came off as if the developers threw darts at a board for ideas, and felt like I was playing three games in one. In other words, it's a complete mess, and not a very fun one, at that. The new mechanics that were introduced over Sly 2 didn't really put anything new on the table, being either useless or not used to their full advantage.

I haven't played Thieves in Time yet.

Puzzles are in each game, and I definitely know what you mean about the archers. Give 2 a try.

If you take away the ending, it's easily the best in the series.

Hard for me to say. I love all three. 2 might be my absolute favorite just because I love games where you build a team. Really liked the space opera type story of the first game, and the gameplay of 3.

It has the best gameplay and the multiplayer was damn good but taking away the ending doesn't change the fact the rest of it was also written like shit.

Its still better than 2 though.

I don't mind the puzzles, it was just the fact that some of them were downright annoying and/or had pretty fucking strict timing.

And I'm not exactly a slackass at vidya.

Mostly the fucking archers though. Fuck those guys.

Infinite was a perfectly enjoyable game. If anything, 2 is vastly overrated.

Why is dark souls 3 so boring? Dark Souls 2 was a pretty shitty game but the locations were so interesting and different, the world felt very alien and unusual. Dark Souls 3 is just grimdark medieval shit which I didn't enjoy at all. Didn't play Dark Souls 1 tho

P.S. The Pokemon gens include remakes.

Except the law system. Going down to the jail to bail out clanmates was dumb. Atleast in A2 you can ignore stupid laws with no major consequence.
