Already happened.
Battlefield Vietnam. Came out in 2004?
BUT WHY?
Because I said so.
Rising storm 2 is on the way
after it's been on the market for about a year, sure
>battlefield bc2
good but not enough content to be called a full game
>2 active servers
>both chronically underpopulated

>Vietcong wasn't a good game
>BFBC2: Veitnam wasn't good
Fucking newfags.
Red orchestra Vietnam comes out soon and if it's half as entertaining as RO2 it'll be a good one.
...
Vietcong was mediocre at best.
Much like shellshock Nam '67
All we've gotten for Vietnam games are either trash, mediocre entries or simple add on that don't actually qualify as a game
>Vietcong was mediocre at best.
It had some of the best MP ever though. Where staying still in a bush and timing your shots is important to surving. PLUS the whole "tunnels and foxholes" style gameplay was neat. Vietnam BFBC2 didn't have anything like that. It was just BFBC2 maps but tropical. It was cheap, but the weapons made it work.
next cod game is Vietnam so hopefully everyone will jump on that train

How do you like that M40 action? Pretty good right?
>no ground vehicles
I've never played this one, but Shellshock 2 was one of the worst games I've ever played. If my memory is correct they had goddamned zombies in a couple of the levels.
Op was too young to play that
>tfw you keep getting bullied by migs.
>players all ten feet away from each other and in plain sight/out of cover
I don't remember RO2 being like this.
"Realistic" FPS should be more of a campfest.
you know it's choreographed alpha footage that's just showing off the weapons right? Of course it's gonna turn out to be a campfest you imbecile.
>ywn play a flight sim where American fighters don't massively outclass the Russian ones
SOME FOLKS ARE BOWN
MAAADE TO WAVE THE FLAG
OOH THAT RED WHITE AN BLUE
The phantom being outclassed by the 21 was a meme. As soon as phantoms were being sent into Israel in a conflict without restrictions it ate migs alive.
Vietcong was pretty fun. It was neat exploring the base, shooting captured enemy weapons, learning about the conflict and reading your diary. I loved playing it on the hardest difficulty with no HUD. That shit was awesome.
>We will never get a fully fledged Nam game with actual realism to it
>Relatively non-linear
>Randomized AI/troop placements
>Randomized villages, have to interrogate villagers to see if they're VC
>Numerous ways to burn down villages, kill everything, destroy shit
>Multiplayer MMO style death match mode with traps and camo and shir
>have great memories of Conflict: Vietnam
>it fucking straight-up refuses to run on modern PCs
Crysis is a modern Vietnam game.
Before you say that Crysis takes place in N. Korea, let me remind you that they're all gooks, so it doesn't really matter.
Black ops 1?
>vietnam vidya
>It Ain't Me starts playing
Hard to make a game that shows USA in good light, when it was a lost war full of atrocities.
...
>vietnam thread
>shitter memes about fortunate son
I thought Crysis took place in the Philippines
Why are Sup Forums memes always the worst?
>guy on Sup Forums complains about it ain't me memes
>he hears the sound of choppers closing in
>it ain't me starts playing
...
Why call it that when it the song is called "Fortunate Son"?
Will we ever get a Vietnam game that fully delivers the massive suite of weapons and vehicles used? Such an interesting time period, WW2 guns and tanks being used in the same conflict as state of the art jets and MBTs and helicopters, experimental rifle designs, a display of Chinese tech that actually began to diverge from Russian clones, a hodgepodge of weapons from all over the planet finding themselves there like a /k/ wet dream GOD DAMN
Does it really matter in the end
Reminder that Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese were agitating for autonomy in 1918.
Reminder that Ho Chi Minh only turned to Communism so he could get dem sweet Migs and AK-47s.
Reminder that France a shit. A SHIT!
Because thats the meme son.
