Those games do seem cool but I wouldn't play them because of Shantae's design. I'd play them because I'm interested. I mentioned Miku's design because it seems like it's tied directly to the aesthetic of her music. No one would take Biggie seriously if he grew up living in suburban Manhattan as opposed to being a drug dealer in Brooklyn.

Luka is Irrelevant now. with less and less producers using her, samfree dying, and the bad V4 launch, Luka has fallen behind the rising star IA. I wouldn't be surprised if Crypton just straight up removed Luka from future games and instead cut a deal with First Place to put IA in them.
