Can this build compete with consoles ?
Can this build compete with consoles ?
not with that cpu
you want at least an i5
seems like it would be about on-the-level.
No, honestly just get a console. Whatever console game you play on that thing will have 10 fps less.
Sure, it can compete all right. Can't win, though.
>Pentium
No.
You would want i5 for CPU and maybe a better GPU if you want something that can match/do better than Scorpio/PS4 Pro.
And before you complain about that being more expensive than consoles, PCs do a lot more than just play games.
What's the point of building a PC that can "contest" with consoles? You're just gimping yourself. Just buy a fucking console
Go big with PC or/and get a console or it's pointless. Consoles are already gimpy PCs, no need to make a fake one, just get a console instead.
swap the RX 460 with GTX 1050ti, and get i3 instead of Pentium, and you instantly get much better machine.
Still, that build ain't half bad, and would BTFO consoles already. Ignore fuckers saying i5 is a necessity.
>Go big with PC or/and get a console or it's pointles
Fuck off with that meme of yours.
Even low-tier PC > consoles, by the sheer overwhelming mass of games, the notably cheaper prices, modding, emulating, and many other features.
>Consoles are already gimpy PCs
that can't do even half of the shit PCs can.
i3 is a massive bottleneck especially in all newer games but good job memeing you inbred third worlder
That rx 480 is overpriced. For that same price, you can get the 1050 which is considerably better
I meant 460, not 480
Good job showing you know jack shit about components and actual system requirements of most modern vidya.
And excuse me while this 3rd worlder enjoys superior internet and IT than your beloved burgerland.
Console killer systems will be a lot easier next year.
All the current gen consoles are based off of cheap but fairly decent SOC hardware. So far nothing similar has been sold openly with the closest being AMD's socket AM1 hardware which is intentionally crippled.
Next year however they plan to launch Zen/Vega SOC chips which will blow the cat core / first-gen GCN SOCs in the current crop of consoles away.
that fucking stretched HD Audio cable
That CPU is going to bottleneck the GPU hard, and the GPU is already shit.
Waste of money, shit resale value, shit upgrade path. I don't seem to understand why PC master race choose to build PCs.
you gonna need a psu to make all that work
>Waste of money
A system capable of running even modern games at 1080p / 60fps is far from waste of money.
>shit resale value
by the time one would even consider reselling that, it'd obviously be upgraded. Even without updating anything, you'd get easy 150 bucks for it.
>shit upgrade path
How so? You could slap in the i7 3770K, OC it to 4.5Ghz tops, and enjoy quality vidya for many more years. RAM is dirt cheap, HDD space is dirt cheap, and GPU upgrading is basic as fukc practice.
>I don't seem to understand why PC master race choose to build PCs.
Because you save up to hundreds of bucks by doing so, don't have to deal with bloat, and know exactly what's going on inside your PC. It's a very educating experience.
Is this PC bad for the price?
Can I get more PC for that money?
>3GB GTX 1060
>2.8Ghz low-tier i5 CPU
>W10
It's pretty shit 2bh.
OK for a pre-built, but once again you are getting secretly fucked in the ass. Much less than with some previous Cyber-toy PCs, but still.
>3770k
No, you can't put a 3770k on that build you mongoloid, That build uses and H170 mobo which has a 1151 socket which is for Skylake and KL chips and that build uses a pleb H mobo not a Z series mobo, only an idiot would put K CPU on H mobo, You're wasting unlocked multipliers of CPU when your mobo can't unlocked it Wow you just prove that build has shit upgrade path! Also getting $150 back for that build is a shit resale value too!
Then put in regular 3770? Still a huge upgrade.
>getting almost half of the price back is bad resale value
"OK".
The 2.8 ghz i5 is probably a 6400, that's okay for today's standards but for an additional 15$ you could get 6500 which has better base and turbo clocks speed. That build is probably using an H170 or B150 series motherboard, that also okay if you're not going to OC but I would recommend a Z series mobo even if only in a affordable mATX form factor.
Stop with this meme. An i5 is not the minimum for video games. Video games are not CPU intensive. A CPU from the last few years will not be a major bottleneck unless you're aiming for some real high end shit, which OP isn't. He wants to "compete with consoles", and 1080p and 30fps is not hard to surpass, even with a G4400
Are you an idiot? You can't put an 3770 Ivy Bridge chip on that build which has a socket 1151 motherboard! A 3770 chip requires an socket 1155 mobo. Also getting only 150$ for a skylake build is still a mediocre return rate! it's only 2016 not 2019 mong!
then put in Skylake 6000 series i-core CPUs. Even better!
And you're missing the point. Getting 150 bucks for your sub-400 buck PC would be a great return value along the line. Obviously you could easily crank up the price for a while if you upgrade the components further.
