They absolutely nailed the sound design in this game, shit's immersive as fuck - It's basically a home invasion sim. It's one of the best games I've played in years, and I normally hate shooters.

Overall I'd say go for it. A friend gifted it to me last week on steam and I'm already 50 hours into it. It's a lot of fun, just be prepared to get rekt a lot and yell at uplay. Tbh I'm surprised not more people are playing, if it wasn't for uplay I bet it'd have at least a few thousand more players.

Might rank up there as one of my personal favourites of all time.

Not because its the best (its really isnt, btw), but it scratches that itch no other MP game has in quite some time.

For the longest time I've been turned off by MP shooters 'cause most of the time it feels like the enemy one just 'cause their reaction time was .1 second faster than yours. Whereas in this game, whenever I die, I feel like I legitimately messed up and can review, asses, and learn how the enemy outsmarted me and got the upper hand on me.

My main problem is that the rather shitty hit detection can get in the way of this feeling sometimes, and that "cheese tactics" (tossing nitro cells like they're grenades, etc.) and far too prevalent.

One thing that makes me happy about this game on the pc community at least is that I don't think 12 year olds play it since most everyone I have eer played with since release sounded older and not having to hear a kid screaming is a big plus is my book

Fast wins are satisfying as fuck when you're on the winning side because you can actually see the panick in the players and frustrating as fuck when you're on the losing side because there is nothing you can do against a well coordinated team, though stopping a team dead in its tracks and killing most of them in the first few seconds is also an incredible feeling

Actually I'm interested in this. I'm building a decent pc next month, should I wait for it or take it on console now? Some fps are unplayable on console but Rainbow Six could be decent because it seems more strategy than aim.

Play ranked if you don't want to be with way better players. For the most part I've held my own on either. Gold 3 within 2 weeks.

It's great on paper but the actual mechanics are fucked due to questionable balance and really shit servers. It's absolutely unacceptable for a game to have a second of lag when a single bullet can mean death, and that's pretty much the case when you're up against a fast peeker like Ash.

You should only get it on console if all of your friends are there too. It isn't crippled on a console like a bunny hopping FPS is, but it's still a much better experience with mouse controls. You also have fewer game options due to the controller iirc.
