Should I get an xbox one s? I have nothing from this current gen (except a 3ds).
How does it compare to ps4 pro?
Is the 4k good?

Buy a pc from that money.
He should just get a Rx480
I had a xbone and it was woefully underpowered.
I already have a pc though, does xbox genuinly have no games though?
Or is ps4 better or what?
Never ask here what console to get, you'll get 1000 dickheads spamming "LOL PC MASTER RACE" instead of getting actual answers.
so where do i ask? i already have a pc and this xbox deal seems to be the most genuinly cheap way to get into gaming though.
get ready for a swarm of sonyniggers coming, user. The xbone is good if you want to play xbox games online and like halo. The games that are also on windows 10 are dead online but the xbone has more people playing them online.
Get the Xbox, senpai
You'll love it. Be sure to get Forza Horizon.
Bone is a great investment if you don't mind going to Windows 10
The PS4 pro is a vastly superior gaming system. The one s is a superior media center.
>if you don't mind going to Windows 10
what?
does pro not have 4k playback or something? i find it surprising considering that sony owns most of the media devices like tvs and shit.
For the crosscompatiblity functionality and the W10 xbox app
No they both have 4k playback.
so then what media differences are their?
crosscompatiblity with what?
Cross running windows OS on your PC and your console makes certain things easier. Other than that theres not really any difference.
PS4 doesn't play 4k blu-rays
Honest question: Why buy an Xbox over a PC?
I understand PS4 and WiiU cause exclusives. But there are maybe what, 3 exclusives (from last year) on XboxOne? What possible game on Xbox One do you want to play that's not mutliplatform or PC?
xbox is for TV, PC for desk.
also xbox has exclusives too
IMO a PC for new games is a hassle more than a solution.
Not because muh config skillz but because I'll not play the games like I do on the Xbox. I will change tasks often and that will ruin the gameplay for me.
Also there are good games for any platform. Stop being a poorfag
i was just contemplating it. The original reason i got my ps3 was as a media centre, not for games (i only own 7 ps3 games). They make good, cheap media centers that have small profiles, are stylish and tend to be quiet.
ps3 also had the cool feature of originally running windows.
wow really? i mean pspro but thats pretty shit if true

This
I've got everything but a Nintendo console (almost bit for Star Fox 0, close call) and I end up playing more on my Xbox. The UI has had some work and lags more often the PS4 home screen but it has more utility, taking clips, screenshots, and getting in parties with friends is easier. Backwards compatibility is actually really nice on X1, especially since I had a huge 360 library. I've tried PSNow and I never really had any issues but not every one has the same Internet connection. There are issues with it, but I played all the way through MGS4 with it, no complaints, but how many people use it? And then you rent titles. BC is much better on the X1. I'll admit there are some good exclusives on the Playstation, and even DLC contracts that's made me buy games on the 4 over the bone but I just prefer the Bone.
And it works great running a TV set box through it. Snapping TV while playing a multiplayer game or anything is actually pretty cool.
Yeah its true. Physical media is obsolete anyway if you ask me.
It's nice having physical things to show off
If you want a console with great multimedia capabilities, xbone exclusives games (at least in consoles), great western third party support, the occasional japanese game, and 4k blu ray, I´ll say go fo it.
However, it´s underpowered compared to ps4 and pro. Also 4k is only for video streaming and blu ray, not games.
>because I'll not play the games like I do on the Xbox. I will change tasks often and that will ruin the gameplay for me.
Is this supposed to be a joke?
wow you really live under a rock, huh?
anyway just get a PS4, if you have nintendo consoles it's obvious you like japanese games. Of which Xbone has very few and PS4 has most of them.
Most of their library is multiplat which also runs slightly better on PS4, usually a resolution bump.
And XboneS doesn't render above 1080p, like I said it hovers around 720p and 900p much more often than the base PS4. the PS4pro doesn't render at 4K in most cases either, but it goes go beyond 1080p, most often hovering around 1440p or 1800p.
>does xbox genuinly have no games though?
Almost literally, yes.
Most of its year1 exclusives went to PC. Like Ryse, DeadRising3, KillerInstinct, etc. the only ones that remain are SunsetOverdrive, Rare collection (95% of which you can emulate on PC), MCC (again old games) Halo5 (Both Forge and Online modes are on PC, the only thing that is Xbone exclusive is the shitty campaign) and Forza mainline (Horizon is on PC, and a pseudo-mainline called Apex in on PC also - I wouldn't be surprised if the next mainline Forza is also coming to PC though)
As for current and future games it's the same deal - the vast majority, if not all, are also on PC. QuantumBreak, Recore and Gears of War4 are all on PC, and future """"Xbox"""" games also will, no delays either, actual simultaneous releases.
If you have a PC there really, REALLY is no point in getting a Xbone unless you truly love Halo5's campaign and Forza mainline.
On PS4 you at least get Vita/PS3/PS4 games as well as the few Xbone/PS4 only games (FF15, Destiny, RDR2) which is neat if you miss one or more of those consoles since you get nearly all of their current games on 1 box.
Even if 90% of Xbone exclusives weren't also on PC, I can't think about any 2017 game for them. There's Scalebound which got delayed for 3 years now (and will be on PC I think, but let's ignore that for now) but other than that one I really can't think of another Xbone game that isn't multiplat in 2017 and beyond.
Not if they cost $30 a pop. Are you seriously considering building up a UHD blu-ray collection? They are expensive as all fuck.
I personally stream everything, can't really be bothered, but even if you are a 4K+perfect bitrate afficionado you can always simply torrent the movies and watch them that way.
I'm not here to judge, but I see a lot of people boasting their UHD Bluray reader but whenever I ask them if they even own 1 such disk the answer is always no.
But yes, to be fair if you want a cheap UHD bluray reader get a XboneS. For everything else get a PS4.
>torrent
sorry, but I'm not a criminal
I mean, if you can afford to spend hundreds upon hundreds of $ on a literal dozen of UHD blurays, you can also easily afford both a PS4 for gaming and XboneS as a reader.
So there's your answer, wasn't so hard, was it?
