Just got to that part yesterday. Immediately started looking up how to to get Angewomon and Ladydevimon in my party.
It's pretty good. I hadn't played a Digimon game since Digimon World and I'm enjoying it.
There's a lot of room for min-maxing but I've not done any and only had to grind to be able to beat the offline coliseum.
If you don't like reading all the dialogue, fetch quests, and revisiting locations then you might get bored pretty quickly.

It's fun. Story is sorta "meh", but picks up steam later in the game. Combat is pretty good, though it artificially makes certain fights harder by giving enemies 6-7 turns in a row. There's a lot of grind, but grinding has never really bothered me.
It's a solid 8/10 game in my book.
