Campaign is funny as fuck, quests are interesnting,you have to investigate, its not the simple grinding missions "kill 427172194 bears".
Talents are funny too, its an innovating aspect too, check it before you start putting points randomly.
Combat gameplay is like GW2

First campaign is Lovecraft stories

Second Ancient Egypt

Never played GW sadly, kinda wish the Chaos thingy wasn't stuck on your back but I am tempted to go with it
Why two weapons tho? Where do you normally find a chance to use both? why not use a gun all the time?

Third Campaign is Transylvania
Raiding is funny too, but thw world is empty, maybe you'll find troubles to forma a party.
But everytime the game is on sale it get more people.

Its depends on how you want to combine, their are gun that are used for healing or DPS, others for DPS and tanking...there are a lot of combination.
f.e. i use Fist and chaos, its DPS and Healing

There's zero reason to not get the ultimate edition. The sheer amount of extra content alone is worth it, I'm not sure if they have reduced the price of individual issues since I bought them at launch but it's more than likely you'd save a hefty sum.

RIP, you may still be able to purchase the ultimate edition and like add it on top of it but I don't know for certain.
The Enforcer and Champion decks were probably the best for solo builds pre-revamp of the original zones. So they're probably all usable now

I have it but I've never gotten far.

I got to the second island in the first area (Blue Mountains?) and inevitably had to start repeating quests to progress, so I grew bored.

Second time, I played with a Sup Forums random and we got through 3/4 of the first island before I grew bored again.

Shame on me.

I played it for about 4 hours. Unlocked all the skills for my hammer/rifle loadout.

It was kinda boring, but I kept playing because I thought I didn't "get it".

Now I think it's boring and pointless.

No point in playing the game. Even the "AR puzzles" are just a google search away, even if you're not specifically looking for the answers, because the game is so old that there's a guide for every single sentence.

Since wikia and game guides became so popular, any search term in the game leads you straight to the answer.

Even if I did have to do it the old-school way, it'd be boring because the references are completely obscure and arbitrary. That's probably how they wanted it, but it hasn't aged well at all.

Well it is part of the appeal, figuring out the answer by yourself, if that's not your kind of game then that's fine.

Well, I beated most of the investigation quests myself. Except few in the first location when you need to find a Bible quote using some really vague clue for it.

If you want to play a solo MMO go for SWTOR.

As I recall SWTOR as well required payment for it to be tolerable. But at least pretty much everything is freely accessible(?)

Not him but Swtor is a decent single player mmo these days. It's come on a lot since Tortanic. Download the game for free, buy some shit for $5 (you don't have to do this step if you bought Tortanic originally), and you can just play through the main missions solo.

Basically just buy a code for a 30 day sub. You unlock all the content and get prefered status forever which makes the game playable.

Also you can buy these sub codes for almost nothing on code sites like G2A and kinguin because nobody else wants them.

Sith Warrior was alright because it had fetish fuel but the ending was anti-climatic and way too obvious.

There is only a single plot-twist but it hits hard.

its a convenience membership, you don't need it to play the base game. The base game has 3 fairly lengthy chapters that take a long time to finish, if it's your first time.

there are additional chapters you can buy or spend points on, if u are inclined to play later areas.

I've only do inquisitor and warrior. I liked it but the combat was too tedious to do a third character.

Inquisitor story was fun but pretty dull if that makes sense. It's cool to see your sith rise from slave to god but it's such a predictable experience.

Actually SWTOR has a 200% XP event going on right now that runs till the end of december.

If you combine that with the free 25% XP boosts they give you then you can level from 1 to 65 in less than 2 days.

Had fun finishing all 8 stories imo. The only really bad ones were troopers and bounty hunter.

Knights of the fallen empire was alright too but it sucked that they had empire and republic form an alliance to fight against another empire.

Yeah you can play solo. I played the whole release storyline solo, only started doing Elite dungeons after finishing Transylvania.
