So, should I play this, Sup Forums? Does anybody here know if it's good? I've been looking for a surreal indie game to play for quite some time

Its free and extremely good

Amazing OST. Gameplay is standard RPG like, but not bad by any means.
OP here
Good OST
Free
Welp, say no more. I'm in
Dont feel bad for looking up the puzzle solutions in a faq
They are bullshit
The gameplay is actually total dog shit. Even by RPG standards. Random battles are endless yet the game is so easy it's basically impossible to lose. People just excuse it because the atmosphere is good.
But the atmosphere really is that good.
what game
>But the atmosphere really is that good
If the story and ambiance can balance out the shitty gameplay, then that's good in my book
OFF
Made by some french guy, I think
>OFF
oh right I assumed that was an acronym lol. Ill look it up.
...
I loved it until I got to the ending, that shit was crazy disappointing compared to the build-up
Great OST and atmosphere though
Yeah. Weird name for a weird game, I suppose
Batter did nothing wrong
>ending was crazy disappointing compared to the build-up
I don't know what you were expecting
It's not perfect, but it's free and most importantly, short. You can afford to sacrifice a few hours for a game like this.

...
Pretty good game. Slightly overrated, but not bad by any means.
Go for it. Play HOME while you're at it, too. It improves the battle system a little.
>Play HOME
Maybe something closer to the Genocide ending of Undertale in scale? You just Fight a tiny little cat in an empty room. The fight is easy and normal, and then the game is over. No epilogue or crazy, unsettling imagery or music or atmosphere, nothing
Every boss on the way to the ending is more extravagant than the ending itself.
Literally too deep for you
>Undertale
Jesus
...
>HOME
Best OFF fangame I've played. Has the same world and charm while majorly improving the combat. It actually felt like it could be a legitimate sequel
>No epilogue or crazy, unsettling imagery or music or atmosphere, nothing
>nothing
That's kind of the point
No, fuck OFF
>The switch is now OFF
Really Bioware?
it's free, why the fuck not try playing it? also yeah, it's pretty good
goddammit
Alright Nigger let's talk about OFF.
This game is fucking dope. It has a really unique atmophere and art style despite it being a pisseasy RPG Maker game. The soundtrack is fucking awesome. It's a good, free game, and you should play it.
Then play Middens and Gingiva.
Yeah, but the fight before that moment still could have been better.
Also, I was expecting the secret ending to be something crazy, maybe the cool shit I was expecting from the normal ending, and then that sucked too.
OFF is not deep.
If you like OFF and don't like Undertale's Genocide run, you're just a hipster
>you have to like this game or else you're a hipster
It's fucking shit but worth playing.
OFF and UT's Genocide run are very similar. They accomplish the same things, they both have great music, they both have a similar unsettling atmosphere, and they both have interesting and cryptic lore. Except Undertale has pretty unarguably better gameplay. I could see people preferring the lack of likeable characters in OFF, but whatever.
Outside of "I played OFF first, and it did this kind of story first, so I give it points for creativity", Which is valid, I can only imagine people who like OFF and dislike Genocide are hipsters. There really isn't very much OFF does better.
>undertale
>good gameplay
Also a character doesn't have to be likable to be a good character
Yeah, it's worth a play.
Undertale's Genocide route is basically OFF. Take that for what you will.
It's okay, but personally I dont like it that much despite loving the fuck out of RPGMaker games.
Try Space Funeral. That's the good stuff.
Middens
