Do you understand why Big Boss is the villian? Ahab looks into the mirror and shatters the Demon he sees before him. Not accepting it. Just as you rejected Big Boss could be a villian. You both take a convenient lie over a hurtful truth.
Like Ahab, you, you don't accept this outcome. A hurtful lie. Ahab acts as we the people see Big Boss. But the reality is much more petty and cruel.
Are you ready to be mad at yourselves now instead of Hideo Kojima who in turn used Big Boss for a mouthpiece to betray you?
Do you feel the emptiness? the Phantom Pain?
Logan James
Shit game.

[/spoiler]Konami fuels the war economy of MGSV but microtransactions. As big boss we compete for supremacy. Konami is Major Zero. Konami is the Patriots.
Lincoln Fisher
Venom didn't care about Quiet.
I will point out this fact in every single mg/s thread until all mg/s discussion dies.
Jason Perez
In Metal Gear 1 Ahab dies. Still echoing the words of Big Boss. He does not break of the delusion. He continues to obey.
Your life will be gone in an instant within 11 years. Your life means nothing to Big Boss.
Colton Campbell
Big Boss prays in the most petty desires we have. To be like Big Boss. And he lets us play fantasy. All while furthering his own legend, his own power. You dying was part of the plan. You not dying was part of the plan.
Carson Thomas
Nah
It was just a shit ending. Enough with this mental gymnastics bullshit.

>LE VENUM HATES QUIET >BIG BOSS APPROVED > I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT >YOU JOOSTFAGS ARE PATHETIC... >GUYS I'M CRYING RIGHT NOW... >THINK OF IT THIS WAY, VENOM KNEW ALL OF THIS AND DIDN'T CARE
Michael Carter
You die in MG1. You don't even get to see him go to the crazy deluded war mongerer you see him as in MG2.
Twice he takes away your fantasy. Your sycophantic fantasy of being Big Boss is what eventually makes you like him. A liar. He lies to you, you lie to yourself. And a willing servant, a man who lies to himself, is more unbreakable than any soldier told to go out to battle and kill for a cause.
Landon Hill
"You know the hardest man to break Doc? a man who lies to himself. That's a hard man to break." - Ocelot to Huey
Leo Brooks
>Do you understand why Big Boss is the villian?
Of course, big boss was batshit insane. Creating a nation of soldiers, wtf was he thinking?
Noah Morgan
Hey, kid. Just because you don't like traps doesn't mean you can go shitting up the board with your incoherent nonsense. Me and my girlfriend have an amazing sex life, and yeah, I suck her penis - that's not a big deal and if you think it is tough, buster we'll square up and I'll fuck you up. So don't talk about it being 2015 when I just said what was on my mind, dude. Fuck you. It's not even 2015 what are you living under a rock lmao kid it's like almost 2017 XD maybe you should go out more and get a real girlfriend, like me.
Jacob Stewart
All these MGSV theories are interesting shit but big problem with that games story is the execution. It's not told in an interesting manner. And all the complicated meaningful analysis in the world won't change that, same thing as Evangelion. Execution is as important as the story you're trying to tell.
Joshua Kelly
Think about how Ahab dies in MG1. He just gets blown up. No death speech, no time to think about the wrongs he did, he literally dies a drone until the very end.
No climactic end. And this is the pessimistic route to MGS2 and why it is a paralel. MGSV is about enslaving ones self and not breaking of the will.
Raiden broke of the Patriots will and rejected the player in MGS2.
You did not break the will of Big Boss and embraced the identity he gave you.
Jose Richardson
Trump is like big boss and hilary is like Major Zero. Big Boss is simply the lesser of two evils remember that. Perfectly capable of spinning another narrative. A lone man who's insane is just as dangerous as a collective. Even if their power may not be as vast. Their insane ideologies could lead to more permanent destruction. Where Major Zero leads to even less identity. A world that slowly dies. Compared to a fast death.
Kayden Ward
And because of Ahab getting rid of all the nukes(chapter III is cannon) it's one of the reasons why Big Boss is the only one with nuclear bombs in MG2.(although retconed in MGS1 so there's nukes in the world again. Or maybe the world just got all their nukes back/got more once Big Boss "dies" in MG2.)
Chase Carter
I agree. The middle could have been more interesting and Quiet wasn't needed at all.
Xavier Morgan
You can survive a shot to the head, but a broken heart always kills.
Jason King
don't
Adam Bennett
all these years and Marky still can't into basic anatomy
Jaxon Wright
don't forget that Venom didn't care about Quiet? If you say so.
