It's $13.99 on Square Enix's store. Worth it?
Also, is it the Steam version? It says I require a Steam account but then it also says it's a PC download in the title.

bemp
Dunno, I'm downloading it atm.
Pretty sure its steam only most of square enix's PC versions are besides FF7/8/14.
I say go for it, I have not gotten to it yet currently playing through 13. Heard it was the best of the trilogy and was a good port unlike 13.
What's the cheapest this game has been in the past?
Did you activate it through Steam?
Oh ok, I searched around and saw how many were upset over FF7 not transferring over to Steam when it was released there.
It's good but you won't understand a lot of things because it's part of a trilogy.
It's not a real amazing story though, so it won't matter much.
I didn't like 13, would I like either of the sequels?
13-2 improves on everything in 13 but is still like 13 in heart.
13-3 changes a lot up and is somewhat a different game. It is more action-ey.
I put about 20 hours into 13 but never finished it.
Can I just play FF13-2 and Lightning Returns without finishing FF13?
why play part 2 and 3 if u didnt enjoy part 1
Not him, but everyone says that LR is the only good one out of the trilogy, so maybe he would enjoy it more.
The gameplay and combat system are decent enough.
But the story is very weak and Lightning is one of the most utterly bland and uninteresting protagonists ever written, especially in this game. So unless you're an armpit fetishist waifu fag, you'll likely get tired of her droning very quickly.
It was mainly the gameplay I didn't like in 1. Story/characters were alright.
Of course you can. Specially XIII-2 since that one turns left and stars Lightning's sister Serah in her own shit.
13.99? Yeah, I'd say its worth it but, you can get it at gamestop for about 10 bucks. nvm, if console only.
then don't bother with the sequels
Why the fuck not? The gameplay is different in the sequels. The combat gets revisions specially in LR and neither it or XIII-2 are linear for example.
thats what i thought before i played it.
believe me, i would really save the money, or at least look at some youtube shit if you dont mind getting spoiled a bit
because they all work with the break gauge and paradigm shifting. if he didn't enjoy it in xiii, why the fuck would he enjoy it in the sequels
OP or user didnt specifically say he didnt like the break gauge or paradigm shifting. And maybe this time around he enjoys it because XIII-2 and specially LR got changes to the combat system. They arent exactly the same as XIII's system.
>it requires steam
>it's a download
No fucking shit it's a fucking download when it requires steam, you dumb retard
The game is good though
I just wanted to make sure don't bully pls
But it's so obvious
sorry
XIII-2 was better on paper, but not in practice. The first XIII at least had the factor of "maybe something will happen if I keep going". XIII-2 did not.
