ITT: casual filters

ITT: casual filters

I hate these fucking swamps so much

Fucking drowners reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

are these graphics vanilla or moded? Havent played this game in a long time

vanilla

>casual filter

this. while casuals are stuck on those swamps trying to prove something, everyone else is actually having fun playing something else

>dat feel when so many people didn't use the red ribbon

Plowin' swamp!

this, Vchap is literally unplayable without ribbon

Fire Emblem. Hard mode and above on Classic.

I wouldn't say it is a casual filter really, more like just extremely tedious.

I'm strugling to get into this game

I'v played a good few hours but cant get hooked on it all.Should i slog it out?

...

why is TW so perfect?

>Dark Souls is hard

I want reddit to git and stay get

nigger normalfags can't even ring the first bell in ds1 because they quit because it's to "hard"

no, you're the target demographics for the ADD TW2-3 shitfest

...

I got Dark Souls on launch but i quit in undead burg, then i returned when my power level was higher and had a blast.

Fuck you OP I've been stuck in that shitty place so god damn long I just wanna play TW2 and 3 it's not fucking fair

shit thread
equip the ribbon, give no fucks

the game only picks up by the end of chapter 2

Refer to this if you're a typical player.

the prologue is great though, I remember when the game came out and I couldn't fight the fiery beast because my toaster couldn't handle so much fire.

The game is really slow (in a good way) so it's hard to get hooked if you're in a mood for "entertaining action" type of gameplay.
It's a game you play on a rainy / snowy evening without having to rush anywhere.

the best Witcher game desu

The controls.

fucking junkyard man

>people didn't just run past anything
I didn't bother to stop to fight against anything except the drakes and anything else that needed to be murdered. Shit didn't last even 3 hours that way, I don't get it why people bitch about it. Chapter 1 is the casual filter, since you need to learn the clunky mechanics and since you have to read the journal a lot to get by, a lot of casuals are deterred by that.

The Z-list voice acting made me think it was a parody for a long time, it wasn't until I was halfway through act 1 that I realised it wasn't ironic.
Maybe that's because I'm English and no Merican, but the voices are really funny and hammy.

You never played A-games? Witcher 1 was made with a budget money that CD project managed to get from selling potatoes.

>the red flower pops up
ABORT MISSION FUCKING BAIL

Embrace the comfyness of vezima.

...

No, but Sup Forums was fellating the Witcher series, especially the first game as high art that couldn't be faulted on storytelling and immersion, which is why the comical voices were so outside my expectations.
I even said as much a few years ago when I first played it an I got called out for trolling, "fucking idiot the voices are great" etc.

So I absolutely hate games that are "Hold button to continue attacking" instead of "Press button to attack once". Is there any mod or anything that does this, I really like the world but holy shit there's a reason we don't see this mechanic

I know, thank you.

Also there's absolutely no excuse for any game to have the "Hold button to keep attacking" mechanic, that is just bad design

Yeah I specifically said story because everyone knows Witcher combat is dogshit, especially in 1.

You should play Devil May Cry or mindless action games like Skyrim.

Pretty sure the casuals never even got past The Beast.

That game was piss easy on every difficulty. I felt like I was crafting potions and oils for no reason.

So you're actually defending that mechanic? Why? What redeeming qualities does it have?
>b-but the combat is good because you have potions and signs and stuff
No, I wasn't talking about combat in general, just that one mechanic

>finish this game figuring out precise strategies to deal with every single area
>satisfying as fuck
>come on Sup Forums, people are bitching like a bunch of babies about mobs being unfair, artificial difficulty, etc

Feels good being a gangsta.

You should play God of War.

If you define strategies as "In this room I pull these guys first, then these, and oh right might have to aggro these with a bow" thats what everyone does

why is the combat in this game so fucking bad? people complain about witcher 3 but this is a lot worse

Oh nevermind, I thought you were actually defending Witcher 1 combat as anything but dogshit

TW1 has great voice-acting.

If you want a game with truly bad VA, try Gothic 1. I actually dropped the game because I couldn't listen to the dialogue anymore.

You should play Dark Messiah.

Yeah, and lots of people are too fucking stupid to do that.

Which country are you from?

I'm pretty sure no one, atleast no one not a casual Chad just runs into a room and aggros everyone.
No one in Sup Forums who actually plays the game plays it in any other way, that is just the normal way to play DS

what's wrong with it

Anyone else use the Polish voices because they have a thing for Eastern European women

I forgot to change them the first time I played TW2 and I think I made the right choice

>TW1 has great voice-acting.

Even CDPR knew the voice acting was trash, they redid a lot for the EE.

The point is, there's always a smart way to deal with those huge mobs. And an undeniably large group of people over here on Sup Forums complained endlessly about them being unfair. You're massively overestimating the average Sup Forums shitter.

And made it worse.

yo act 2 is great

No, you're massively overestimating yourself if you think playing DS normally is "figuring out precises strategies"

You can just hold the attack button to attack? Fuck me, I always timed it.

Finland

You just contradicted yourself on your very first post. The very strategies you listed are the "precise strategies" I was talking about (even though you made sure to talk about them in the most pejorative way possible).

These strategies might be SIMPLE, but they are precise. You're not defending the average Sup Forums player, you're defending the meme opinion that DaS2 is a bad game.

not

Then you rev up those polish voices and enjoy english subs.

You can do that?
Maybe I'll actually finish that piece of shit, I had no idea W1 was dual audio.

Was just going to post this.
It's great for weeding out faggots who think they're hot shit.

Felt more like an "unviable build filter", really. Had to forget about my sledge hammer character and just roll a new one using SMGs and assault rifles.

Fucking Deep Caverns though. Very same effect times 20.

Im in act 1 and my face is more like act 2 , so hopefully i will enjoy it as the story picks up.
whats the point of being so condescending, it dosnet make you look cool.everyone just thinks you're a meany

...

Being an asshole doesn't make your "friends on Sup Forums" like you.

>"unviable build filter"
Every build with some thought put into it is viable, though.
The only unviable builds are when idiots think they can jack-of-all-trades.

Sledgehammer characters are usually something for a second or third playthrough, once you know what you're doing.

Shit, I rolled a full Psi, all schools, no Throwing, Riot Gear, low Con character and I only got my shit fucked in DC.

Fuck the eye of Tchort.

...

This shit ALMOST made me quit the game.

But when you start getting strong it becomes a walk in the park.

I found Trumpeter way harder than Matador.

get filtered, normies

If you come into Nocturne playing it like it's apocalyptic pokemon, you're gonna be fucked at the Matador wall with no choice but to git gud or quit

Granted the later bosses are much harder, but matador's the casual filter

>Fuck the eye of Tchort.

>tfw was able to one-shot him using Snipe

And it was after being stuck in the DC and being unable to complete the fight for a while. Felt very rewarding to figure out that I could do it with the correct equipment and a good ol' junkyard surprise buff to perception.

If I hadn't spec'd up my character to be a sniper I'd have been utterly fucked, though.

It wasn't fighting Tchort at the end of the game that was the problem, but rather the increasing debuff in the areas nearby while fighting the dark fleshbeasts.

Couldn't find the bone knife for that old bloke for ages because I had no idea it was on the corpse of a Tchortist because when the fuck are quest items on dead people I haven't killed?

The whole game is a casual filter.
>uh i didnt like the fighting system because i dunno

I guess by the time I reached him I had a good grasp of how the game was meant to be played, beat him first try.

Died multiple times on Trumpeter however.

...

german voice acting mustard race

They all die in like one hit, what's the big deal
Should be the intro of witcher 2 after coming from w1.

>matador
>hard
>use ONE or TWO buff skills to fuck his shit up

>minotaur
>use 3 charges of rakukaja
>use 3 charges of sukunda
>use 3 charges of sukukaja
>use 3 charges of tarunda
>have all demons with bufo, his weakness
>he still manages to obliterate the whole party if you are not lucky enough

Minotaur is probably the hardest boss I ever encountered in a SMT.

Not him, but it's essentially a QTE.

Why did the link one of the first quests you get to Hellraiser?

You've never played SJ then

That's like saying timed hits in mario rpgs are QTEs.

...

>Not using your Vulcan
No wonder you died.

>Not playing with polish voices
Zjebałeś Spock, zjebałeś kurwa.

>using a shit weapon

...

Correct, because only casuals play witcher 2 and 3.

...

In act 2 right now. Picture is accurate.

I mean, early game boss. I played around 30 hours of SJ but the early bosses are pretty easy.

Casual & Newfag filter at the same time

>playing Q3A for single-player
