Is the ps4 pro worth it over the slim?

Is the ps4 pro worth it over the slim?

I don't own any iteration of ps4. I waited this long for either a price drop or a fair amount of good exclusives. Seems it finally conceded halfway on both of those things.

I don't care about 4k. I have neither a 4k tv or monitor, so it's useless to me at the moment. I'm just concerned that future and present games may run poorly on the slim compared to the pro.

Is the pro that much more powerful that I would see a clear difference in performance and frames if I just got a slim?

Are there any major issues with either model?

Basically, there's finally enough exclusives on it that I'd be willing to pay the sale price for the system to play them. but I'm worried games would run considerably worse on the slim.

If you don't have any ps4 obviously just get a pro.

But is it worth the extra money versus performance gain? It's an extra $150. And the slim comes with a game.

>I don't care about 4k. I have neither a 4k tv or monitor,
Then don't get the Pro.
This isn't hard.

Yeah it is if you don't have one. It only isn't if you have one and that'd be 700 bucks for a ps4. It's 340 on amazon eight now, you should just get that one.

Is the $340 for cyber monday?

It does increased fps on standard hdtvs.

Get a slim or a normal one

Pro is not really worth it

Yeah I think it's starting a few hours early for this

It can't even consistently run PS4 games better than a PS4.

Yes it's worth it.

Yeah right now it's just a bit better, in a few months new games coming out will be fully optomized for it though, and will run much better on it. The pro is only worth it if you don't already own a ps4 so in op should buy it instead of a slim.

>falling for the pro meme

some games run WORSE on the pro senpai dont do.

-Get the ordinary version if you don't have a 4k display.
-if you only have 1080p display, The Pro benefits on games that have unlocked framerate or dynamic resolution but this games only adopted this features recently
-Some Pro enhance games forces supersampling on 1080p users which messes up framerate on some areas.

>It can't even consistently run PS4 games better than a PS4.
So far that's just W_D2 and Deus Ex though, and W_D2 got a patch already. The only games even having problems are like three or four games, and with TLOU it's literally a 2FPS drop randomly due to supersampling from 4k to 1080p and it only happens in the unlocked framerate mode. We also know future games all have a Pro mode at both 1080p and 4k, so for a new owner it makes no sense at this point to go for a Slim unless $100 somehow breaks the bank for you, and you'll still have to pay about $50 for a 1TB drive anyway.

Yeah and in a year ALL new games win run worse on the normal PS4. Do it. It's literally on Skyrim by like 1 frame as well. Everything else runs slightly better right now.

And the higher framerate pro modes don't even have any problems for games like Deus Ex MD. Only the 4k mode, and op doesn't even have a 4k tv.

I bought one today for $360 from target. Its taking fucking forever to downlod my games. Psn is awful and im wired

I bought it to play exclusives and my sports games i know v hates. I sold my launch ps4 for $450 with a 2tb drive in it a few months ago so i really didnt feel bad for getting this

>Buying retail games digitally
You have no one to blame but yourself.

PSPlus and game sharing.

Too many good games at retail this week for sub $30 all need fucking patches.

Only digital game i own is destiny and that was basically free thanks to the coupon sony gives

If you're just entering the 8th gen market and don't have a PS4, XBO, or a PC, do yourself a favor and buy a 144hz 1080p monitor and a 4K 60hz monitor, a PS4 pro and a skylake/thx 1000 series PC build.
You'll be set for at least the next 3-4 years.

Start caring about 4k.

1080p is pig disgusting blurry grainy shit in comparison.
