I know, the Omen trailer. I don't know if that's why a demon dog led Noctis to that hell or if Etro is an 'evil' goddess but it's certainly a possibility.

In XIII-2, if I remember correctly, Etro is the one that pulls Lightning from her timeline and sleeps in Valhalla. I think she was the one that tasked them with their destiny to bring on Ragnarok so maybe it is that that rebrands her as the goddess of death in versusXIII.

Versus XIII. As far back as I can recall, this seems to be SE's second failed attempt to create a game based off on what they had in trailers. FF XIII's trailer looked amazing as well, but no gameplay aspect was actually kept.

I just wanted to warp around cutting niggas and using cool melee moves from time to time, without having to go on a "roadtrip" and roaming around an empty world with huge beasts, and without worrying about how abyssmally clunky the game looks.
