P5>FE>XCX>XV

The two on the left are a different kind of game than the two on the right.

>#FE for $34
Dare i?

Will it go lower boxing day?

P5 > FFXV > SHIT > #FE > XCX

out of the ones with an english release, definitely #FE

Get it USED.
RECYCLED.
TRADED IN.

Do not pay them money for that shit.

I can't really find it used anywhere around here.

XCX=P5>FE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>XV

>>[BETWEEN THE LINES EDITION]
>SONY > SHIT > NINTENDO
Fuck off consolewar faggot.

Only played a little of P5 until I heard it's getting dual audio and gave it back to my mate, so I can't really review it.

XBCX has the most going for it. Great gameplay, huge open world, oddly addictive gameplay loop.

#FE was...okay. Felt very polished but the formula of Field>Dungeon>Puzzle>Mini-boss w/ exposition>Puzzle>Boss>Repeat was very rigid and obvious.

FFXV, up until Chapter 4 that I've played since Friday, feels like the least cohesive of the bunch, a lot of ideas and doesn't do anything particularly well.

In all, I guess XBCX > #FE > FFXV, unless FFXV gets a LOT better in Chapter 5 onwards. I fully expect P5 to decimate XBCX in nearly every regard, except maybe endgame playability.

wait, does #FE have a physical american release?

It's been out since June m8. Enjoy it.

>the least cohesive
Well, yeah. It's been development hell for 10 years. Any game that's been worked on that long and swapped directors halfway through is going to be pretty choppy. I hope it picks up soon though.

Yes. Censorship spoilers though, every instance of bikinis was swapped out for hip hop clothes. Yes. Really. There was an entire dungeon dedicated to gravure photos. The boss's motivation, about doing gravure photos. Imagine what happened to it.

Fuck Treehouse.

What?

I get that, I really do, but even the chapters that were painfully obviously put together after Nomura left are very...lackluster, I guess.

The gameplay loop of FFXV so far in my experience comes down to Listen to exposition>Do fetch/hunt quest>Get in car>Go to next area>Repeat

And I just don't find that engaging.

only played xcx and #fe and both are pretty gud
persona looks good too but I'm not sold on FFXV, personally I think I would say XCX > P5 > #FE > FFXV, had I played them all

P5>XCX>FE>Neptunia>XV

Actually you know what FFXV reminds me of in its first 7 hours?

Star Ocean with a bigger budget

I don't even have to have played it to know that Persona 5 will be the best because I've played the other 2 that are out and I know they're trash, while I've known FFXV was trash for years now.

I can't imagine that the game will pick up if the second half is as bad as people say it is.

Are the dungeons actually good?

...

>Are the dungeons actually good?

I'm a little hard pressed to call the 2 side dungeons I've seen "dungeons", they're more like linear caves with obvious rest spots and magic refills. Magic is something else that's completely blundered here. I'd rather they just didn't add it than what we have here, you have to open a battle with it or not bother at all, it's very fiddly.

For that matter, anything you guys want to know about FFXVs first 7 hours? I know I'm not the only guy to get it early on here but if you've any questions, shoot

I completted all of them.
FFXV > P5 >>>> FE >>>>>> XCX

I've only played Persona 5 so far, but I can say that it's going to be hard to beat. It's like a perfect mix of Persona and SMT games. They took Persona 3 and 4 and improved them in every possible way.

There should probably be power gaps between these but this.

>FFXV > P5
Ya blew it

>comparing open-world to non-open world

better comparison:
XCX>MGSV>Tales>Star Ocean>FFXV

I think the dungeons are good, but chapter 5 has you basically replay half of most of the dungeons up to that point which made me drop it for months and only recently came back to it.

How linear is it in the open world parts and how much freedom do you have in the linear parts? What I'm trying to find out is, is it like one open world chapter and then one linear chapter or are the linear parts scattered across the open world?

You don't even have to even play P5 to know it's gonna be better than the other three

I believe you!

I'm not at what I think is the truly linear parts yet, but the open world parts are pretty standard fare. The most linear I've gotten to so far is getting locked in to story quests where I've basically got to follow the sign on my map.

As for the open world sections, there's sparse bits and pieces to fight or collect by holding O when you're over them, there's occasionally a weapon tucked away in each chapter, there's a few caves/dungeons to explore (first one was basically locked by high level monsters in the first area), and then there's scenic areas for Prompto to take photos with. Only found 2 fishing spots so far. The most frustrating part of exploring is how stiff Noctis is, it's very difficult to explore organically when you're expected to circle around and find a convenient ramped area because Noctis can't jump very high.

How is the combat?
What about the camera?
Does the world give you an urge to explore?

Maybe it's just me, but Noctis' reduced movement in dungeons feels awful. It feels really tedious just navigating him anywhere at that point.

>Noctis can't jump very high

Sorry if I sound stupid, but I haven't played the demo. Can't you just use his teleport ability to teleport to higher areas?

>How is the combat?
It's okay, I went in expecting Platinum Demo and got a slightly improved Judgement Disc, so I'm okay with it. Been playing it the same way, ie, Magic>Warp strike>Broadsword thing and killing everything in site. No bosses I'd say gave me trouble.
>What about the camera?
It's fine for the most part, even zoomed out from the menu settings it's a bit too close for my liking. In doors it's a mess, I tend not to use lock on until I get right close to an enemy because it tends to wig out
>Does the world give you an urge to explore?
Me? Personally, not really. Noctis moves too slow for me and Chocobos handle weirdly.

The dungeons/in door areas in general feel like a mistake of ideas.

He can't use it to gain additional height or grab ledges, I'm afraid

>which one was the best Sup Forums?

Why not just say "game"? Calling video games "Sup Forums" is retarded.
