Spanish medium blacklisted for giving FFXV a low score

Koch Media (a huge European publishing arm who works with Square Enix, Atlus, Bethesda, and more) has blacklisted a Spanish medium because they gave FFXV a score lower than the Metacritic average.

>Our score was 0.9 lower than the average Metacritic score, which goes against their best interests. Therefore, we have been blacklisted, and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.

Another fine example of how corrupt this industry is.
If you can read Spanish, the whole story is here:

Ay Chihuahua! Un perro pequeno

You have to go back.

this also explain why the top list of those reviews have so many Spanish literallywho, too.

SHUT IT DOWN

>and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.

That's a lie though. They simply won't review early copies sent by Square Enix.

Nothing is stopping them from buying a copy on release day and reviewing it. Not that they'll finish the review on time for the audience since it's an RPG

>and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.

What's stopping them?

I mean, they might not receive review copies, but they can still write a review in defiance.

LGTS
>Spain

this

>Nothing is stopping them from buying a copy on release day and reviewing it.
for what purpose?

>Koch Media

Hole frijoles

It's the same as with news.
If your review is out after the game releases no one cares anymore.
The first one to report on it, gets the viewers and the clicks to cash in on that sweet ad-money.

>they might not receive review copies, but they can still write a review in defiance.
O yeah, getting sued for slander is totally worth it.

>Nothing is stopping them from buying a copy on release day and reviewing it.

>they might not receive review copies, but they can still write a review in defiance.

B-but muh free games.. I mean muh free copies as a member of the prestigious vidya journalism

...

Stop being racista anónimo

Even liberals hate Koch

>slander

It's a review. Even if it's after the fact, they can write what they want.

I was banned from 3djuegos, another spanish forum about vidya, because I asked if they were getting paid for giving FFXV an 8,5. Really makes you think.

>Days since jewish Squeenix tricks
>0
just fucking buy it, goy

who gives a shit

Meristation o muerte

The fact that Square buys ad space whenever a new game comes out doesn't help.

As long as they are telling the truth about the games it won't be slander.

>and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.

Of course they're able to publish reviews of their games.

Who the fuck would stop them?

>being registered on 3djuegos in the first place

you deserved it desu

>and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.

Wait what? Yes they will, just not as fast as others because they wont have the game.
No fucking way can SE ban you from reviewing something

Right?

>Get black listed
>all it means is you dont get a review copy
>Buy it anyways and review it.

It doesn't mean shit.

>It doesn't mean shit.
It means you lose clicks because no one cares about review when the game is out already.

They can't do it legally, but they don't need to win a legal battle to financially ruin them with it. Sony've done that strategy in the past tons before.

I'm registered in every vidya site that does giveaways from time to time. But I just had to throw shit at the writers for publishing this and feeling proud.

GO BACK

Some useless wastes of space try to paint it as if reviews don't matter if they aren't out before a game launches to the public .

>Europe
>not getting sued into oblivion for telling the "truth"

h-hiroshima?

That's terrible. Also, nice thumbnail Hiroshima.

How is that an actual problem though?

I mean, to the consumer?

Because I sure don't give a shit about the pretend problems of game journos.

IGN and gamespot gave it shitty scores and no one blacklists them

Any interest in me translating the whole of it?

I'll do it for 3 (you)s

Spain != Mexico you illiterate dumbfucks

Jolines Manolo

I wonder how you get "green listed" (?) in the first place.

Does your site need a specific amount of traffic before review copies are dispensed your way?

Nobody really cares that much. The gist of it is already in the OP.

Americans are dumb, more at 11

>I mean, to the consumer?
It's not a problem for the consumer, it's a problem for a business that rely on clicks. And it shows that reviews are bullied into giving good reviews as oppose to honest reviews.

All in all though, I don't care because I gather opinions for Sup Forums. Just gotta filter the shitposts.

>Innovation is rated

What a fucking joke

>S;0 stilld did't arrived to me

>Spain - Europe
>Mexico - North America
I don't even understand how you function.
go read a big book on history then you might learn how Mexico came to be.

Ign gave 82 and gamespot 80

>no one

Speak for yourself.

Buying on launch day is the worst thing that ever became a trend in video games.

Its a joke Pedro

What are you retards talking about?

They were prohibited from publishing reviews as soon as the embargo lifts, there's nothing about being being banned from reviewing all games or anything.

>Koch Media nos ha vetado hoy la posibilidad de lanzar las reviews de sus futuros juegos en fecha de embargo por no estar de acuerdo con la puntuación que hemos otorgado a Final Fantasy XV.

Shall I read the review as well and see why? Cause obviously you lot are incapable of doing it.

Couldn't make past the first paragraph.

Look at this beautiful game. Worthy of a 9 or 10.

>Buying on launch day is the worst thing that ever became a trend in video games.
I agree. I haven't bought anything at launch since MGSV.

>I wonder how you get "green listed" (?) in the first place.
offer your editorial space for advertising
not even exaggerating

>it's a sudaca talks back at its masters
Fuck off and talk about videogames

Most likely has to do with traffic or views. Some youtube gaming people get advance copies too.

Are you retarded or is this some nubait

As long as you aren't outright lying about the game (eg. It lacks a multi player mode) you can't get done for slander

You can call a shit game shit.

Hell, you can call a great game shit if you want

do you wanna trade me some gold and women? I'll give you some mirrors senpai

>B-but retarded changes are okay when WE do then

I work in a Game Publishing department so I can roughly tell you how it works for new medias.

First of all we split medias and "Community Sites" into two groups. One is managed by PR, one is managed by "Community". Usually anything small or less formal (i.e. streamers/influencers) goes to the Community Team. The rest goes to PR.

Then depending on several factors (traffic, impressions, country etc.), outlets are tier'd. T1 are our big guys like IGN, Eurogamer (UK), Jeuxvideo.com/Webedia (France), Buffed (Germany), etc. (We deal with EMEA countries). Then comes T2 and T3.

When it comes to review copies (I work mostly with MMOs, so it's mainly codes anyway), we provide them to all Press Sites regardless of the tier. However we also organize Press Events/Tour and slots are limited so these are usually for T1 (and we pick on the T2 list if some T1 outlets cannot attend). We fly over journalists to our Offices either in the US or Asia, so we can't just invite small bloggers and what not.

For certain games when the coverage is really dire and that almost no T1 people are interested about our products we just pick lower down the list, and that's how we sometime end up having literally who's getting interview slots at major Tradeshows like gamescom.

How to be on that list? Well reach out to anyone in the company which then forward your details to PR department and they make the call or not if they should establish a relationship with you.

t. sudaca

What have swedecucks done in their lifetime Bjorn?

Most of south america speak Portuguese though

>Homer

Wow this review is actually fucking terrible. It's like a long, wordy and very vague essay about the game.

The first third is just wanking/reminiscing about the final fantasy "legacy" and its creators. The second bit is extremely brief and confused descriptions of the protagonists in comparison to other Final Fantasy games and then the last two bits are like really weird and light descriptions of the combat system and graphics.

More like a review it reads like a really big fan trying to clumsily describe a game. It's bizarre, reminds me of indie videogame magazines from the 90s.

Also
>p-please don't use adblock!
>advertisement for g2a embedded into the site itself
>waaaah we got vetoed!

Yeah fuck them. I don't even play final fantasy games and even I think the site is shit.

Well they're economy didn't fucking fall apart like Portugal's and Spains did

Yeah that's his name

>Jomer

The game is shit tho.

Koch has consistently supported Republican candidates forever

>blacklisted
>unable to publish reviews
Wait, how exactly does blacklisting prevent them from publishing a review?

tu eres el mexico de europa maricon

>won't be able to publish reviews

That's not how it works. The only thing the publisher could do is not giving them review copies.

Dios mio!

No, ignorant, I'm from Madrid.

Please consider stop defending a second world country which is only lagging the rest of Europe and is one of the many reasons the brexit won.

Your patriotism is a shame considering that internationaly we are only useful to throw parties on the beach so the guiris from real developed countries can get wasted.

it effectively ruins any chance to get review copies, so the review can't come out on release day, which means it's essentially worthless

>Area jugones

Con ese nombre mejor desaparecieran.

No free copies for them, not a bad thing

>t. qlao aweonao po wn

>jomer

Sorry, we dont speak regetton in here.

A la chingada pinches gachupines

>Therefore, we have been blacklisted, and won't be able to publish reviews for their games in the future.
How can they stop them from publishing reviews?
